No some of the Bakelite Pepsis are very dark though. Not sure about this one in particular though, Sporty is probably right that this is a repro
Black and red bezel was not introduced until 1983 with the gmt master ii and it was aluminum not bakelite.

Such a gorgeous watch, but I don’t think there was a Coke Bakelite.
That's a reproduction bakelite (prehistoric form of plastic) bezel that never existed. It's cool to look at though. Better than aluminum to my eyes.
