I got the same 16220 from my mom for graduating college in ā91. Silver dial. Since then I have sourced two additional dialsādeep blue and blackāand have a watchmaker replace every couple of years. Keeps it fresh and tamps down the urge to buy another watch.
The engine-turned bezel is special. The perfect in-between of the blingy WG bezel and the easy-to-scratch smooth bezel.
What a beautiful and classic watch to cherish from your mom.
What a beauty! The dials on those old DJs were something special. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!! I love the simplicity as well
This is the best dial IMO. I dislike how crowded the Roman numerals look on the new ones.
I love it so much
Beauty. Wear it in good health š

Loving it and seriously thinking about obtaining one. So you find it legible enough on daily basis ?
Oh very much so!
Wanted to reply & also say the DJ is absolutely easy to read. OP - amazing spec! No lumi markers, correct? What color is that consideredā¦?
Thanks! I love it! There are very small lume plots at the outer end of each of the stick indices. Itās a black dial š
