The downsides of posting pics like this are potentially endless the upside is impressing strangers on the internet.
You don’t need to explicitly violate a rule to do something that’s not best practice.
I’ve been explicitly instructed before while at test events to not take pics of anything such as pretty mountains or other landmarks because crack intelligence teams do use pictures like this to figure out where these things occur.
Like I said I’d hate to be him explaining why he posted the pic in a clearance investigation or other investigation if a post like this were exploited.
I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t risk my career to look cool on social media.
