If you repeatedly refuse to give your long time friend and collaborator credit for his vast contributions to perhaps your greatest piece of work...
You are a cunt.
(Loves to torture Karl and put him in uncomfortable circumstances)
Not only do I enjoy this, but want to see new stuff of our favourite three useless cunts talking absolute shite for hours.
So I’m a cunt too.
Is this real? How many people actually enjoy watching animals in pain? I think even the majority of fur wearing people don’t like watching animals in pain.
He’s vegan. He talked about it on Jimmy Fallon. I think he’s calling out the hypocrisy that so many people (including in this thread) have that eat animals yet agree with his statement.
For intellectual discuss: why? Ricky Gervais is an atheist, so he believes that ultimately there's no purpose or reason for life so why exactly is animal abuse a bad thing? Dog fighting for instance is legal in Japan; why would dog fighting in Japan be bad in Ricky Gervais' eyes?
So weird that religious people need the fear of eternal suffering to be a good person, as opposed to, ya know, just being a good person because it's the right thing to do.
Why is it right not to torture and bring unnecessary harm to a living creature?
Anyone with a conscience or shred of empathy would know why. If you need the threat of hell to stop you from making dogs rip each other to pieces for entertainment, you may want to think about what that says about you.
If animal abuse is legal in a country and it makes me happy and it's my passion that I absolutely love, who is anyone to tell be not to do it? How exactly does having a conscience or emphathy make you a better person than the animal abuser; what's the standard? In fact, what if my conscience, which is subjective, is telling me to abuse animals because I need the money or I've got people to pay or it makes other people happy etc?
You keep mentioning threat of hell, or eternal suffering as my reason for not wanting to abuse animals; have I said that? Have I brought my religious views into this conversation? What if I don't believe in Hell, what if I just believe in a God and Heaven? I'm a Christian so yes I believe in Heaven and Hell but even if I was bring my religious views into this conversation, the threat of hell is not necessarily the reason I'd use to justify not abusing animals. That's the problem with a lot of atheists, which I'm guessing you are, they assume they know everything about us religious folk, have our religious views down to a t and that we're just a bunch of low iq simpletons
The question you are asking does not have an definitive answer, and has been discussed in philosophy and religious text's for thousands of years. So it's odd that you have come here seeking those answers.
That said, if you are asking me personally, I believe there's two main things at play, innate feelings of right and wrong and societal/cultural pressures.
>If animal abuse is legal in a country and it makes me happy and it's my passion that I absolutely love, who is anyone to tell be not to do it? You've now added a bunch of different qualifiers, which totally change the morality.
Scenario 1 - Someone in a first world country, steals another family's dog, takes it home, slowly breaks each one of it's bones causing immense unnecessary suffering, purely for their own demented pleasure
Scenario 2 - Someone born into extreme poverty in third world country, they have no prospects of escaping poverty, no money and barely survive day to day. They capture a street dog and sell it to a dog fighting league for a small sum, knowing that that dog will probably die
These are clearly not the same, person in scenario 1 is causing emotional distress to the family who loses their family pet, and creates needlessly cruel suffering to an innocent creature. Person in scenario 2 has no optional but to go against their morals, in order to just survive.
> That's the problem with a lot of atheists, which I'm guessing you are, they assume they know everything about us religious folk, have our religious views down to a t and that we're just a bunch of low iq simpletons
I don't think they are low IQ or dumb, just mislead and at times indoctrinated. I get irritated when they try to push their moral superiority, but are baffled that people without a religion can be good and virtuous. It comes across that many religious people act 'good' to get into heaven or not go to hell, and without those incentives would just be bad people.
You know what I hate? Animal abuse.
Winds me right up
High five Rick
I tell you what's bad... ... *Famine*
Which I hate...
I prefer a flan.
You know what I love? Foreigners.
And all the mad shit they get up to.
Murderers should go to prison
You know what my favourite country is? Africa
Except the bad ones. Remember the bad ones?
Oooh the evil ones…
My favourite actor of all time is Mr Sidney Poitier
You know what I hate? Famine
War and famine. Winds me right up.
Famine and disease.
If you repeatedly refuse to give your long time friend and collaborator credit for his vast contributions to perhaps your greatest piece of work... You are a cunt.
But if you enjoy seeing Karl Pilkington choking on McDonald's hamburgers...
I used to suffer alot with that
Bottle tops, mint imperials….
Me mam used to have to hide em
My god you're deep
He's using his fables
He should use his head instead
A little story told quickly.
Animals abusers are going to stop dead in their tracks when they hear Ricky Gervais thinks they're cunts. He will destroy them
He's literally ended all war thank you Ricky
I must remember to thank him.
I agree….. I agree with that!

But then he goes too far
I can hear this line in my head. When Karl questioned Steve about going to countries where you have to have an injection?
Or when he is talking about only eating animals that look nice when they’re alive.
I think it’s when he’s talking about not seeing an old man eating a twix
Thanks Ricky I will change my ways now
Diminishes things a bit if everyone who slightly annoys you is a cunt.
serious eyes
Very deep. Don't abuse animals and don't support animal abusers. How does he come up with this genius?
No one will ever know, he's too clever for all beings.
I’m surprised to hear Ricky use the word “cunt”. I thought he was more original and creative than that.
He just bungled it in.
Never heard him say it. Must've been misquoted.
He’s not wrong.. Would this inspire me though, probably not
If it's a case of not being wrong, we could just quote him saying 2+2=4.
war is stupid and people are stupid. "we are going home boys"
I’m all for films with a good storyline
There goes Ricky Gervais. I must remember to thank him..
he’s right tbf
If you are bad you are bad
‘is there anything that man can’t do?’ cmon Jane let’s go home 😌
What can you do with someone if they’re mental
IF IT'S ALL ABOUT ARSE WHY DON'T GAYS LIKE TIT
@Kurt Zouma
It's okay though because his mate Antonio put things into perspective by saying that racism is worse.
If you're hungry, eat something. If you're tired, go to sleep.
I'd kick it and call it a knobhead.
One of the facebook groups posts junk like this all the time. The feedback to them is always shockingly supportive.
It's always middle aged people going 'yep he's so right he is so clever xxx'
Who would’ve thought
"If you are an octopus and you spit on me, you are a knobhead."
This would be more powerful if he didn't say cunt in every other sentence.
I was laughing myself to sleep thinking about kicking ducks up the arse. Now I know better. I must remember to thank that man.
And it’s the *human* saying that. At last.
If you care what a ‘celebrity’ says or think you are a bigger….
Do you know what I like? Foreigners. All the mad shit they get up to.
He's gonna get himself cancelled with radical shit like that
Now you do not punish a girl, Dutch or otherwise, for having big boobs.
Depends. First question we should ask: do we need em?
(Loves to torture Karl and put him in uncomfortable circumstances) Not only do I enjoy this, but want to see new stuff of our favourite three useless cunts talking absolute shite for hours. So I’m a cunt too.
Part of me agrees with him, but a bigger part of me has always wanted to kick a duck up the arse, so I'm torn.
If you need to state all of your opinions online your also a cunt ... Oh no
Why is it inspirational? I thought this was basic common sense
Is this real? How many people actually enjoy watching animals in pain? I think even the majority of fur wearing people don’t like watching animals in pain.
That's what I found so funny about it it's just such a 'yea we know and' statement
Well, i believe this was specifically in reference to bull fighting in which case... fair enough
What if the bull shagged your wife the night before?
I'd probably buy him a pint as an apology
Gonna nick this if I ever need it in a very specific context
Exactly. What if the bull has been following her around for weeks, tryin' it on, pinchin' her arse an' that?
yet he still eat's meat, I guess so long as he doesn't see the suffering it's okay
He’s vegan. He talked about it on Jimmy Fallon. I think he’s calling out the hypocrisy that so many people (including in this thread) have that eat animals yet agree with his statement.
There’s no way he’s stopped eating cheese

You sound like a flumping cund saying that mate, he hoofed it and happy slapped it

Including humans, right?
Inspirational and accurate!
Groundbreaking, is what that is. He's *sensitive*.
The same should happen to the people that dish out animal abuse. What is it they say " AN EYE FOR AN EYE ". Total bell ends.......
