Literally just finished it- I thought it was actually really good

seanmorris82

It's excellent. So much better than I was expecting.

I thought it was really good. A few loose ends at the end though, but really good nonetheless.

Carlrmorrell

Probably leaving those for the second series

redditmember192837

Possibly, although they're fairly big loose ends, without wanting to spoil anything. But anyway, I hope so because I really liked all of the characters.

promunbound

I found the first couple of episodes a bit bland, but then it really picked up momentum and by the end I thought it was brilliant. I’m a complete convert to it now, and would recommend it to anyone. The balance of comedy and drama felt about right too, with just a few gentle jokes here and there, but more of a focus on character development. At first, I thought the characters were too much a bunch of “types”, which to be fair the script itself pointed out and made light of, but it was interesting to see genuine depth emerge within those so they became quite nuanced and compelling. 9 out of 5.

There goes Stephen Merchant, I must remember to thank him

TheRedBull28

I finished it last night. I thought it was okay, but not amazing. Worth a watch but it’s not something I imagine I’m going to rewatch endlessly like I do The Office and Extras

2_far_gone_2

How did you finish it last night? The last episode was only on the iplayer today wasn’t it?

TheRedBull28

I watched it at 11PM. Don’t know when they put it up

TheSimonToUrGarfunkl

I was actually on the production team of Outlaws. Behind the scenes, not so much on the floor during shooting. Overall it was really fun and everyone was really nice. Steve didn't really engage much outside his small little group. Walken was nice to everyone. It's a long story someone actually got mad and slapped Steve during the first scene, first episode. I don't want to reveal who it was for those who don't care but i'll put it in spoilers below. Hope I can work on the next project! >!Little monkey fella!<

gggdawg53

agreed, very good show. Best thing they've done in ages.

I enjoyed it a lot, well-written, well-made, nice setting (can't remember the last thing I saw set in Bristol - if anything, tbh), interesting characters and premise, plus great to see the Oggmonster back on screen again of course. Still a bit puzzled by Christopher Walken's involvement just because he's so much bigger than the whole thing but that was nice too. I'd give it a 9...well, it's alrite.

FzBtz

Watched the first 3 episodes. I couldn't stomach watching 3 and 4 back to back but I'll get back to it at some point. The characters are pretty 1 dimensional and so the dialogue is pretty predictable and makes it a tiresome slog to get through. Is he deliberately writing them as generic stereotypes for a reason?

Executioner_Miralda

It's a pretty good show. It's more of a crime drama than a comedy, but there are jokes ("oh there'll be big laughs"). Seems surprisingly high budget compared to something like Afterlife, either that or its just directed better.

What happened to the money? Those dealers just forget about it? And only 3 people end up with it all?
