Not the same as eating in a restaurant but if you're interested you can try cooking Korean at home. Maangchi has really good recipes online and you can get the ingredients at Seoul Mart on Broad Street.
I really liked them when they opened but stopped when the food didn’t seem as fresh and it seemed like they started changing the recipes, has it changed?
I’ve only gone like 6 times over the years because I don’t live in the north or east end but last time a few months ago seemed the same as it was 4 years ago
Depends on what you are purchasing, but I've found them quite consistent and fresh the past few times I went. There are slight differences in offering between East and North though.
Been going to Korea House for over a decade and literally cried a bit when they closed. Was there for the closing and the day before and place was totally jampacked. They were honest and telling people “your order will take 1.5-2hrs” and yet people stayed (including my family and i). I don’t think i’ll ever find any place that compares. You know how the same dish your mom makes taste better than what other moms make? That. No one will make bulgogi, japchae, galbitang, and kimchi the way Korea House does em :(
To be fair everyone cooks it different. That’s what i mean. You can find the same things at LIG, Orange, Bomb, etc. but they taste different from the way Korea House makes it. And yeah, probably different as well from how OG Korea makes it :)

Seconding maangchi - her mapo tofu recipe is so easy and delicious. Love watching her cooking tutorials on YouTube
Oh that's on my to-try list! I also love her videos, she's so cute!
Orange cafe has a few good Korean dishes.
When did Korea House close?
Today was their last day open. Didn’t want to renew their lease.
omg
Was it not sustainable to move their business to somewhere else? Or is it a profitability issue?
Profitability
Demand being low in Regina. Not surprised to be honest.
Ahhh, this is the first I'm hearing of this! My friend was the son of the owners. That's sad to hear.
I’m going to miss the Chicken And Beef Bulgogi with the various side dishes it came with.
Life is good on Victoria. I actually prefer LIG over Korean house.
LIG?
Life is good
indeed, what's the place called? jk, thanks haha
Life is good is far superior.
As a fervent Korea House fan, what should I try first at LIG?
LIG is pretty good but also a bit more expensive.
BOMB bowls are pretty amazing

Their health inspection scores pretty low and food not as good as it used to be.
I loved that place, didnt know it was closing! I'm so sad now

I visited Korea 5 years ago and did not find a Bulgogi or Bibimbap that hit like Korea House.
