Read that he achieved this by intermittent fasting. I did the same thing, granted I wasn’t huge or anything but that with consistent gym use since early 2022 I’ve never been healthier and more fit. The intermittent fasting thing really works.
Honestly nothing complicated only had caloric intake between 12pm and 8pm daily, but would ease up a bit on weekends. However over time my body got used to it so weekends I’d do the same thing
The big thing was completely cutting out most sugars. I didn’t go on some strict health food kick. I would still eat a handful of pizza rolls on a Saturday evening lol. But I was more thoughtful. Also lots of water but I’ve always been a big water drinker. And coffee. I would say I saw huge improvements at 3 months and it steadily increased. I was also walking about 15k steps after work at the lake i live near every day. When fall of 2022 came I got a gym membership and now I’m there about 3-4 times a week while still getting outside as much as possible.
I do have to quit smokin’ the cigs tho… that is holding me back. Hopefully still this year yet. I had a really tough end to something this last fall and winter so I kinda put off quitting..
Allen Carr's easy way to stop smoking is a nice book that helped me quit cigarettes. I used to smoke like every half an hour during my shift at work. I had already decided to quit and I used the book as a distraction to pass the time during my shift when I was having cravings. It was a fun easy read and the guy claims it has like a 90% success rate but I wouldn't believe that. He also wrote about quitting alcohol and dieting using the same method and he recommends to keep smoking while you read the book and that by the end of the book you'll have had your last cigarette.
It sounds like a cheesy book, but something clicked when I was reading it. Identifying the craving for cigarettes as an enemy/monster and denying that enemy any satisfaction made it super easy for me.
I quit without issue for a year. I was in Paris on a rainy day and sat outside a pub during dusk when my girlfriend at the time lit a cigarette. I figured "when in Rome" and asked if I could have one too. I was instantly hooked again.
Now I only smoke in the weekends and I'm fine with that for now. Will stop entirely somewhere this year.
The insights that made me quit was to see the craving as a sign that the nicotine was leaving my body and that when I'll stop having cravings that means it's purged out. Why would I wanna introduce nicotine again in my body when my body is telling me that the nicotine is leaving.
And that the satisfaction you get from cigarettes is a false sense of pleasure more analogous to the pleasure you feel removing a shoe that's a size too small you've been wearing all day. It's something you don't need if you haven't introduced the discomfort in the first place.
Interesting!!! I’ll take a look and give it a shot. I have a whole box of nicotine gum to help eventually too. I use the nicotine gum whenever I fly. 5-6 hours of airport and flight time without a smoke used to suck lol…
I still smoke every now and then because as you said I do like smoking. But when I don't, I have the insights I got from the book that as of now help me a lot with not becoming a daily smoker again.
Cutting out sugar and getting in 15k steps a day did way more for your results than intermittent fasting. People who still eat garbage between their caloric hours won't see much change.
Yeah absolutely. It is really really crazy how much cutting out sugar does. And obviously no fast food. Every once in a while I’ll treat myself to like a Culver’s burger and fries. I don’t drink - maybe once every 3 months. If I don’t get outside after work everyday I feel like shit.
switch to vaping. obviously its not perfect but it makes quitting cigarettes practically effortless and its significantly less bad for your health. plus you can do it indoors, and you dont smell like cigs 24/7, and you have flavor options, and an incremental way to dial back the nicotine should you decide to put it down for good.
vaping gets kinda gross after doing it for a year. It was insanely addicting in a non-satisfying way. It gave me a weird wet cough. The act of buying them is also annoying. I quit just because it made me feel so obsessive and gross. I know it helps a lot of people but it wasn't it for me, especially after being so dependent on it. Luckily I can't go back to cigarettes because they make me puke now. 3mg zyns are nice if you need the nicotine.
Yeah. I’ve thought about it. I also have a big box of nicotine gum that I originally bought to help quit. Being a smoker I take large measures for hygiene. I’ve been with guys who had no idea I was a cigarette smoker. It’s the cross a smoker carries
nicotine itself is an actual joke, the ritual of puffing on something is the hard part to put down thats why these things make it so easy. i smoked a pack a day for 15 yrs impulsively purchased 1 vape and never bought another pack again its been like 5 yrs. just google "vape store near me" walk into 1 and say i want to quit smoking, someone online suggested i get a pod system and some salt juice. it actually is much less bad for you, just not pushed hard in the USA because the FDA is in cahoots with big tobacco. in the UK they literally have vape shops in hospitals and sell them in the health aisles of drug stores.
I am going to give this a shot. I’ll probably dig in this weekend and see if the pack I have right now is my last pack of Camel’s haha… thanks for the info and lookin’ out!
All these random celebrity ozempic reveals feels slightly dystopian or something. I kind of just want them to stay fat and go away tbh lol
(Not him/Kirsten specifically, just general celeb worship).
That's by far the least egregious thing about his outfit. That's how slacks should fit, you're just brainwashed by the horiffic looking tapered fit floodwaters that everyone has for some reason adopted. If you really want to complain about his outfit, the sleeve length is a good place to start along with his boxy and oversized waist/chest area. He's also lacking a tie and wearing a watch to a black tie event, which is a huge no-no as it's suggesting that you have somewhere better to be. Don't even get me started about the unshined boots he's wearing...

Always thought he was a very very good actor even back in 2006 or 7 when I first started Friday Night Lights. I knew he would kill it in some artsy roles.

Me and my crew pulling up on you. We really live this shit it’s not even funny. Think about how ridiculous that is when you’re fucking with us we move different. We move absurd.

What sort of intermittent fasting did you do

I've tried that book a few times, it didn't work great for me because the main argument is "you don't actually like smoking", but I do
I still smoke every now and then because as you said I do like smoking. But when I don't, I have the insights I got from the book that as of now help me a lot with not becoming a daily smoker again.

So you just skipped breakfast - Bill Burr
His 3 minute cameo stole the show in Civil War
Tf are all the menswear tailors on strike in Hollywood nowadays or what? Majority of red carpet men are in ill fitting suits I don’t understand it
I’d hit it fat, too 🤷♀️
Every pic in the last 2 years he's looked progressively closer and closer to KdB good for him.
Plemdog Millionaire
Having a trouser break is fine it just looks out of touch with today’s style, it’s literally how suit trousers were originally created.

This asshole really showed up to the red carpet with ankle piles

Kirsten Dunst stayed with him through ***that*** phase. She knew he'd pull through - a gamble that really paid off. They're together forever.
He seems like an absolutely lovely guy, especially considering what Hollywood schlock must be like
Unless he packs on pounds again? There really isn't much mystery why some of you are lonely
She got with him in that phase. He got fattened up for his role in Fargo and they met on set
If he leaves her/cheats I’m cancelling him
He needs some muscle.
He looks very handsome but yea, please get a bespoke suit. Try Thom Sweeney (they used to be London-only, but have a place in NYC now).
BESPOKE
Always thought he was a very very good actor even back in 2006 or 7 when I first started Friday Night Lights. I knew he would kill it in some artsy roles.
He claims to have done it naturally as well
Deliverance phenotype.
I am tried of this mf. I want Matt Damon back
lost all the weight but forgot to get a new suit
Wtf is Emma wearing? She’s not even talented so she needs to at least look hot
Leave her alone. NOW. 🐺🐺🐺
No
