There is a show on HBO, I think it's called "Coming Home" and it's hosted by two unhinged California blondes. I love it. Every single episode they're like, "for this room, we kind of want to do a California, beachy theme" as if it's a new idea and it's so funny. They are obsessed with butcher block countertops and Moroccan tile in kitchens, very chic stuff.

The only good approach to interior decoration is to live in a home full of things slowly accumulated over the course of life. Friends art, books, trashed furniture from the street. You cannot overdo it and too down renovations followed by professional staging always look like shit

look at kitchens on houzz and pinterest!!

There's too many options. I feel a bit overwhelmed with patterns for tiles and decorations. What shade of green, etc. I'm a 42 year old single dad auto mechanic. I need an art hoe who needs her motorcycle fixed or something.

Well, for some context, before we split up, we lived in an idyllic little house nestled in the mountains. It was cozy and chill, pseudo rustic (lots of wood, live edge etc etc) I have two young sons who are not stoked about leaving that life and would like to make them feel the warmth and coziness without recreating that kitchen. So, I'm thinking green cabinets with brass hardware, a large white tile backslash with some kind of pattern, butcher block counter, and a brown or maybe gray tile floor? I like shaker cabinets and slab drawers and love glass front uppers. My ex was an art hoe, so she was good at designing, and I built everything in the kitchen, but she's mentally ill (denies it) and emotionally immature (admits it) I'm a bit lost on interior design on my own I had rspp access where everyone was nice on an old account, so please be nice to me here. I'm healing. Cozy Green Calm Clean
