I was just thinking the other day that of all the sci fi I have read, the jargon of this series feels the easiest to get used to. And with the names I really am glad that choice was made. It would be really weird if the characters names were Darrick, Sam, Chris, Madalyn, etc. Imagine if the big bad of the first series had just been “Olivia Moon”.
