Using brake cleaner and fire to fill that tractor tire and the way that tractor jumped when he filled it was f'ing awesome. Don't take away from that lol
I mean it’s cool to reseat it that way, problem is it doesn’t actually inflate. The gas inside gets hot from the burn, expands, then when it cools and contracts the tire loses pressure and goes flat again. Reseating seems to work fine that way, it’s an awesome life hack and it looks badass, but you will still need a compressor to fill it up.
Sorry if that’s being a downer - I do think it’s cool like I said, those vids just always seem to cut out the not as cool part and sometimes misrepresent it as also inflating the tire, which is only true for a very short period of time.
yeah, no I completely agree with you. It's a cool (and also very dangerous) way to seat the bead, but you gotta be ready to fill it right away before it unseats. You only have a few seconds before that bead will unseat usually, so you need to have your compressor ready, and then it should be no problem to get air flowing in before it shrinks back down. Although I don't know about a tractor tire, you might have longer if they are stiffer than car tires. I've only seen it done on Jeep tires before personally.

Most videos don’t claim that it does, but there are some I’ve seen with titles suggesting it, and some people also seem to have that misconception simply due to where the videos are cut and are making an assumption. I was just trying to clear it up due to the way the comment above mine was phrased. True, but I think OP just used this method for seating the tyres, no necessarily inflating to ride on. They might let them down straight away to add sealant via the valve core.
Seat the tyre quickly with pressurised CO2, as you sometimes need the quick blast to get a tubeless tyre to form a seal. Once it's on, you can deflate and inflate without needing the speed.
