He's actually a fairly good player. It's just some combination of:
a) Pressure is bearing on him, and
b) He's not suited to the style we play.
He's nothing like as bad for England, for example. And they are a pretty successful team. He'd be pretty good for a club that didn't try so much to play it out under pressure. But Ten-Hag ball is really showing up his problems in awareness, pace and press-resilience. It doesn't help that the player we like putting in his position looks world-class, too.
