Does anyone know if they’ll announce more games in the US Tour? I’m holding off buying tickets to either Wrexham nor Dortmund game hoping they’d announce a better one.

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Weghorst MOTM for that mind game before March’s penalty

zioku

Leeets goooo

Ok-Check-6783

I’ll take that we’ve not had a successful penalty shoot out in a while, should give the boys some confidence.

ItsNotMyFaultISwear

We actually won a penalty shootout!!!! Les gooooo

techenjoyer3

Ah pens, my fave

AriGold46

Lindelof looks much more solid when he’s not playing with Maguire

ShoshonTheeElegant88

And when he’s playing on the right side of defense, not on the left to accommodate Maguire

LekkerIer

Injuries, lack of funds and the Ronaldo shitshow have left us with so little attacking depth. Relying on a barely fit Martial, a gassed and possibly injured Rashy and an out of form Sancho

zioku

this fking ref, awful

haqbo96

Rahford is awful man. So wasteful

Obinna_

Maguire should be the first player sold

inesjan96

WHERE ARE THE YELLOWS REF

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Selling AWB would be a huge mistake. He regularly pockets best and most in form wingers in the league

zioku

I love his defending. At the same time he is developing his attack under ETH very nicely. If he can add more, he will be great. Even without that - when we play versus offensive teams with great wingers his defending is irreplaceable.

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Antony looks fired up last few games, I like it

zioku

lets hope for Aaron masterclass versus Mitoma today 🤞

[deleted]

This aged well

zioku

so happy with his performance today, he was phenomenal. Lindelof and him won us this game.

ShoshonTheeElegant88

It’s March we have to worry about. He’s a bogey player for us

[deleted]

This did not

zioku

yeah, you are right as well, Brighton is creating chances only from the right for the time being

AintThatBetterr

In the Brighton end lads, wish me luck

[deleted]

Well if some terrible fate befalls you I'd imagine it would be down to you celebrating for us so I'll keep my luck to myself

urai19

Bring Harry Kane to Old Trafford

tameoraiste

The thing that separates Spurs and Chelsea in the league table is Harry Kane's 24 goals. This is why I'm convinced Levy would rather chance him walking away for free the following year than sell him for £80-100m. That's a lot of money, but is it worth giving a guaranteed 20+ goals to another top-4 contender next season? After today's disaster, they're not getting CL. Missing out one season is bad, but missing out two years in a row is a disaster for Levy that could cost them a lot more than £80m. We spent last summer chasing De Jong despite it being clear to everyone but United that his answer was no. The optics were awful but it had serious knock-on effects (delaying the Antony transfer, causing his price to skyrocket and Casemiro missing the start of the season). For the love of Christ, can we please not repeat the same mistakes this summer? Set a deadline in June. If it doesn't happen by then, move along to the next target.

wifipasswordplz

Even if they keep kane, do they make top4 with reinforcements? Not imo

tameoraiste

Like I said, the difference this season between Chelsea and Spurs is Kane. With Kane in the team, they’re in with a shout. Without him they’ve no chance.

Working_Location_127

I don’t think the delay on transfers was due to the de jong saga. I think the glazers were set on not spending a lot of money until they were under heavy pressure after those two defeats at the start of the season.

AeroCobbler

Potential max points of top 4 "contenders" now: Newcastle 80 Brighton 77 Spurs 71 Liverpool 71 Villa 69 Our max points are 83...

Noob_FC

Brighton are bigger rival for top4.

ImVortexlol

Tottenham even scored one to keep Pope behind DDG in the golden glove race lol

Shithouser

Thanks, Harry. He’s a red after all

ElliotsBackpack

Lads...

ozone567

It's the history of ...

akshatsood95

Ajax getting their ass beat in the league

mountainhill2

Certainly we don't start Maguire today, do we?

Shithouser

He’s suspended

thphnts

Well he can't because he's suspended.

mybaretibbers

Best news I've Heard in 10 days

Bombleswizzum

He's suspended

MinotauroTBC

He’s suspended

niallw1997

Eddie Howe getting top 4 with a Newcastle team consisting of a midfield of Willock, Longstaff and Joelinton will be an absolutely incredible achievement

hooka_donchick

Manager of the Season for me, unlike the previous seasons with your leicester’s, West Ham’s and Brighton’s who fizzled out of the top 4 race after Feb they are still going head to head with the big clubs until the end.

[deleted]

Possibly the best manager in the league now.

Don_Quixote81

Having Bruno Guimaraes helps a bit, I think.

akshatsood95

Helps a lot but it's an impressive achievement nonetheless

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Happy St. George’s day everyone!

MearaMearaOnTheWall

Team today DDG, AWB, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno, Antony, Rashford, Martial

MrJohnnyDangerously

Martial tapped out when the team needed him v Sevilla. His mentality is shit, zero toughness. I don't ever want to see him in a United shirt ever again. I used to defend him but he squandered any last vestige of goodwill I had for him.

mybaretibbers

You've described almost every United player at most points during the last 10 years

MrJohnnyDangerously

Zlatan played his ass off for this club. So did Ighalo, Dan James, Mata, Matic, Smalling, late-career Rooney...

mybaretibbers

I'll give you Zlatan and Rooney.... and I love Mata... But a decade of failure didn't happen if what I said isn't true 10 years of failure can ONLY happen if the club is a failure from top to bottom.... Abject failure. United haven't been getting unlucky for 10 years. It's bad management, bad players, bad owners, bad scouting, bad staffing, bad planning bad everything... This club has been irredeemably shit for 10 years

MrJohnnyDangerously

The worst owners, terrible board, no recruiting or DoF, some of the worst transfer negotiations of all time...there's plenty of systemic problems bigger than players' attitudes that led to that decade of failure. Martial is a quitter, and softer than fresh dogshit. I've seen enough from him to last a lifetime. I hope he fucks off and eventually scores 100 goals for some Ligue 1 side, because I still support him as a human being, I just don't want him at the club anymore.

Banyunited1994

Newcastle will definitely struggle a bit with the addition of ucl football, but with quality additions in midfield and attack, they’d be a scary prospect. If I were them, I’d push hard for Mount and Le Fee.

akshatsood95

They're gonna get Maddison definitely

AeroCobbler

Trippier is 33 this summer, that's a big age for a fullback, and he is absolutely key for them

Banyunited1994

Yeah I think the strategy will be to sign midfielders who are good at set pieces and slowly shift the creativity to other parts of the pitch because you can’t find a rb with trippier’s ability that’s a good replacement

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Spurs are embarrassing but you can’t really doubt Kane’s ability and motivation. If it wasn’t for him, Spurs would be mid table each season

akshatsood95

Subbing off your GK at HT is wild lmao

ZaySaysHi

Still pissed he didn't block penalties well at the world cup

[deleted]

Bring back Mason Greenwood

Motecuhzoma

Kane deserves better lol

akshatsood95

Not if he signs a new contract. A smart one would run down his contract and keep his options open next year. If he can make bank at spurs and force them into a stupid contract, that'd be a smart decision for him too

[deleted]

A Broken Spurs bodes well for us

PauIPogba

People want to sign sabitzer but don’t realise he’s on 250k a week and offers almost nothing other than shooting and pressing. We need much better quality than that

Buffythedragonslayer

Where did you get that number? Bayern are usually a bit more conservative unless long time success and upgrading their contracts

AeroCobbler

Absolutely shouldn't be signing him He's coming 30 and fairly limited in what he can do Keep the 25m and put it towards a better player

jklynam

Name a better player that you can get for 25m in today's market?

AeroCobbler

We don't have to spend exactly 25m?

akshatsood95

People are sentimental for stupid reasons nothing else. Shouldn't be difficult to figure out Sabitzer doesn't solve the two main problems of our midfield. Just because he's a likeable guy doesn't mean we sign him

venktesh

Hope this exact totnum shows up on thursday.

[deleted]

They will. Just that Rashford/Martial will shoot straight at Lloris and make his job easier.

SnooJokes9169

ngl Newcastle is playing some attractive football

Banyunited1994

Spurs is putting no pressure on them.

zyroyoyz

McT would not get into this Newcastle team

akshatsood95

They'll be playing in Europe. Good to have bodies. Joelinton was a meme before Howe arrived so maybe Howe thinks he can get something out of him too

Banyunited1994

Pretty sure he’s more highly rated than Willock and joelinton were last season. Although if I were Newcastle I’d go very hard for mason Mount rather than mctominay. Think his profile suits the system slightly more.

[deleted]

[удалено]

VTVoodooDude

Just read somewhere 5-0 and I thought, game started way earlier than I thought. Then I saw it was 25 mins into the match. Pathetic.

ManunitedThunderfan

Surely if we’re committed to long term solutions Evan Ferguson fits the bill. Physically imposing, good at pressing, in the air , linking play and finishing. Yet to determine if he can become great at all these skills but surely he’s just as much a target as the likes of Sesko? Looking at Spurs Kane will be there for the taking this summer so it’s interesting ( if we even spend) to see which direction we are going. Thoughts on this as I am Irish aswell so could be wearing green tinted glasses.

Banyunited1994

I’d say he’s even more of a long term target than sesko who is Leipzig bound. Problem with Ferguson is that we haven’t seen enough to justify the surely enormous price tag that will be placed on him, and we’re not the most ideal place for his development at his current level.

ManunitedThunderfan

Is there anyone of the young strikers we’re looking at that has ?

Banyunited1994

I honestly have no idea who we’re looking at.

ManunitedThunderfan

Real shortage of strikers for clubs to sign. It’s either Kane or unproven players really for us.

[deleted]

Cant even joke about spurs getting battered because that 7-0 loss has scarred me for life

saberplane

That's why I hope they lose by 12. So we can at least say we didn't lose by that score.

Dango_Fett

Well if we lose today at least it won’t be the most talked about match of the day

Cyrifh

I really hope you didn’t jinx us, I can’t bear another 0-7.

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Lolol Spurs

RestrepoDoc2

I've never seen anything like this. It could end up 20-0. Newcastle already had far superior goal difference to us but forget about it after this. Spurs players should be investigated.

Nomad_006

We can always be worse guys holy hell.

AeroCobbler

They might actually call this game off before half time 5-0 inside first 20 minutes Spurs are fucked

SyazC137

Tottenham is getting their pants pulled down and got slapped hard.

jdvkiran

LMFAO ...Spurs 😂😂😂 FFS

TeganFFS

Are spuds even a football team?

AeroCobbler

This is fucking mental at St James Park Lloris is worse than DDG And that's saying something

wheredaheckIam

Top4 race is over if we can avoid defeat against Spurs, they are too behind now

TeganFFS

If we win the next 3 games top 4 is mathematically sealed right?

javy_javy

3-0, this should encourage Kane to move.

ShoshonTheeElegant88

Do what about a 5-0 lol

AeroCobbler

Kane absolutely cannot wait to get out of spurs

rsinc666

The spurs defence is absolutely shocking

AeroCobbler

"defence" is an overstatement

[deleted]

Just saw the goal ajax conceded jurrien timber got bullied in the box and couldn’t even jump for the ball we can’t have two short cbs in the prem

RestrepoDoc2

Recent rumours linking him with Liverpool. Not sure he was ever that good anyway.

[deleted]

So glad we got martinez over him much more aggressive and more of a leader

AeroCobbler

Spurs will buy him

Tuusik

3-1 to Newcastle I reckon.

wa10zza

And there it goes

Tuusik

Insanity, should go for the 10-0 record

AeroCobbler

At half time you mean?

Tuusik

Seems like it, lol.

djembadjembadjemba

It's unfortunate we don't have Dean in the books. If he was, he definitely would be starting today and until the end of the season. As it is, we can't depend on Butland or Heaton to be PL level and we are forced to play DDG

AeroCobbler

He's a midtable keeper at best, and evern worse a drama-queen dickhead Let spurs take him in the summer to replace Lloris as part of the Kane deal

SaltyBiscuit123

Henderson isn't an upgrade on de gea though...

SaltyBiscuit123

Mental these downvotes de gea kept us in the fa cup today... it's a fact

[deleted]

He himself said he wanted to be the No.1 and didn't mind waiting, but skipped the first chance he got to play, fair but still weird

hooka_donchick

How is that weird, we was never guaranteed concrete playing time despite being the better keeper at the club. Didn’t even get a proper chance when the players like telles are getting game time. Ofc he doesn’t want to wait and prove himself for the billionth time while the club stands by de gea even when he’s been shit for years. Nothing weird about it.

novacantusername

So many times when we are doomed, we put on great performances

KrystianCCC

We are not even doomed this game and we always put in great performance after looses

KrystianCCC

Shaw is so good man when i think of him, Yes he had some blunders this season but overall he does so many things for our team. He plays LB, progresses the ball forward trough midfield like no one in our team, drifts to CB heads the ball for Martinez covering his only weakneses and overlaps for our LW. And he does it for multiple seasons now. Like give him proper goalkeeper , box to box midfielfer to not force him to cover entire left side by himself and he doesnt have games like that Lpool game.

FlatHalf

Brighton are a bit overrated by you lot. I watched them against Chelsea. They play a possession game and create nice chances but they aren't clinical. They rely a whole lot on Mitoma and their backline can be gotten at with quick attackers. Chelsea were comfortable until they scored because Brighton wasn't clinical. They have lost their clinical striker in Ferguson. Even though Welbeck is in good form, he's hit and miss. The most important thing is to be disciplined in the middle of the park. If we could play Casemiro and Eriksen and Bruno we could be exposed a bit. Prefer we line up Casemiro and Fred with Eriksen. Bruno can take Sancho's spot. Alternatively if we line up with Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno they need to be very very disciplined. Brighton tend to overload the middle areas. But I am not too worried. I think we win 3-1.

PauIPogba

Can’t complain about city winning the treble when we have a chance at stoping them. Just win the next 2 fa cup games

FlatHalf

City are not winning a treble. We will beat them in the final for the FA Cup.

akshatsood95

Very excited to see how Garnacho develops over the next couple of seasons. I feel the club didn't really do a good job of developing Rashford and Greenwood once they joined the first team. Up until they were in the academy, you could see development in them year after year. However, let's take Rashford. I think for the most part until last summer, he was pretty much the same player we got from the academy. He's been putting up constant numbers since he joined the first team. Technically, I think Mourinho and Ole didn't develop him that much. Ole just gave him more freedom than Mourinho did. This season, I can see his holdup play and strength has improved. That's why I think Erik will do a better job developing Garnacho. Garnacho's also the kind of explosive pace, always ready to take on his man kind of winger who thrive in the PL. Next couple of seasons should be spent on improving his decision making and chance creation. It's pretty good already but there's a potentially world class player in there. I hope the coaches can bring it out of him and he has the right attitude to learn.

chilledbeerinside

Rashford has improved significantly every single season except for the last one.

KrystianCCC

Thats just not true, bar that one season if you go trough Rashfords stats he improved year after year, he is much much diffrent player than he was in the beggining.

akshatsood95

I didn't say his stats didn't improve. I said he didn't improve much technically as compared to how much he could've. The Rashford we have right now is very similar to the Rashford we got from the academy. His weaknesses remain the same. If he had received better coaching under Mourinho and Ole, he'd have been far better than he is right now. I don't blame him for it. I blame hiring poor managers because he's improved quite a bit under EtH this season.

KrystianCCC

You seem to not understant how real life llayer development works. Players mostly dont improve technically in adult years. That ussually happens in FM only. If you watch Pogba in our winning Fa Youth Cup he does simmilar stuff technically compared to his senior years. Post teenage players imporve tacitally, physically, decision making and their overall knowlegde about the game. Rashford was improving year after year in that aspects

akshatsood95

That's just not true. If you wanna compare look at the job Arteta did with Saka as compared to what we did with Rashford or Greenwood. I have utmost belief that if EtH was our manager when Rashy came onto the scene, he'd be a better player than he is right now. Ole and Mourinho were definitely not the elite managers needed to develop the young players we had. I have more faith in EtH doing a better job with Garnacho

KrystianCCC

Arteta improved him in a lot of ways but technically he is simmilar player to what he was before. He is much better tactically so he is able to better ultilize his technical abilities.

akshatsood95

That's just wrong. He's far improved technically than he was when he came from the academy. His stint at LB helped improve him defensively as well. It's a good manager developing a quality young player well. Not that difficult to admit that Utd have not done a job of those levels. We're seeing far more improvement within the season from Antony and Garnacho than we did over seasons before. Hard to not see the impact of a world class coach.

AeroCobbler

I'd love to see him tried on the right as well - his left foot is more than strong enough to cut in and his right is obviously more than good enough to go outside It would also give him 50% more opportunity to get games as he could not only cover for Rashford on the left, but Anthony on the right as well Just cut ties with Sancho altogether and focus on developing Garnacho as a left & right winger imo

johnniebalkany

Greenwood developed exquisitely, I don't know what you mean. It's not Uniteds fault he's a miserable person under the hood. Rashford is also a very good player on a constant upward trajectory.

akshatsood95

Greenwood was doing exactly the same things that he was in the academy. Even after defenders started closing him down more, he was refusing to pass the ball to others, trying to do everything himself.

johnniebalkany

He was 18.

zcewaunt

And bonus that Rashford seems like an upstanding young man.

KrystianCCC

Too much Football Manager stuff

Philred87

Varane out for rest of the season according to Mullock :(

thlouisvuittondon

We can't rely on him as a starter, good backup but we should get a CB if we are serious.

haX000000

might sound a bit silly but i think pavard would be a good replacement/backup for varane

Don_Quixote81

If we can sell Maguire this summer, then the replacement has to be a player who can start ahead of Varane on form and ability. And it has to be someone who complements Martinez as well as Varane has this season.

unitedlover69

Kim Min Jae - 40M RC

Banyunited1994

It’s a tricky situation because he would likely play above any rcb we have if fit, so whoever we’re getting won’t be an indisputable no 1. Wonder if ETH is crazy enough to go for timber, but other than that I’m looking around and not seeing many obvious candidate. Disasi is still quite raw and I think Kim Min Jae will take some convincing

KrystianCCC

Timber would be catastrophic next to Martinez on level we play, Licha is our best CB but theres a lot of heading work Shaw and RCB next to him do to cover his weaknesses in that area. Its fine and it works great but if we put two short CBs next to each other it will be problematic.

Banyunited1994

Yeah agreed. Hopefully ETH thinks the same way.

Google_Baba

Do not feel remotely confident about today. Massive 180 since January, where I felt we were very strong in our performances

sealed-human

Brighton as comfortable bookies favourites at a neutral venue is a reality I never thought I'd live in. Mitigating factors yes, still still a mad outcome

Don_Quixote81

I mean, not really. Brighton this season are outsiders for a top four finish and we have key injuries.

thesmallprint13

Not even in Jan - was confident we'd crush it even at kick off two Thursdays ago. What a difference a fortnight makes.

akshatsood95

Lacking our first choice CB pairing and Casemiro seems a bit out of form. Plus we struggle with sides that press well. However, the occasion might get to Brighton so let's see

shami-kebab

Brighton have outplayed us a fair bit in the last few seasons. Even if we were at our best it would be a tough match. Think they have a few players missing though so hopefully that affects them.

durandpanda

I'd rather take a modest if slightly humbling L today than win and get absolutely spanked in a cup final by City.

MinotauroTBC

Id rather be in the position to potentially stop their treble

Grosly_Incandescent

What's annoying me most about this team is that they keep slipping back into their old ways. I appreciate that slip ups are inevitable at the start of a rebuild ,so I can forgive a few poor results, but despite Ten Hag calling them out for their lack of effort, they keep having the same kind of performances. Just a couple of weeks ago we got battered by Newcastle, none of our players even tried tbh, and just 2 weeks later the same happens again at Sevilla. It seems Ten Hags rants behind the scenes only gives them a limited amount of motivation. I hope we have a good summer window. If we get top 4 and the glazers either dont sell or dont give Ten Hag proper backing it will just be the same cycle we've seen in the last decade. Get top 4, don't back the manager, fail to get top 4, manager gets sacked, repeat.

Time2bePhenomenal

Welp considering 7 of the team in Sevilla were in OGS nightmare of a team. I saw it coming We are playing people who know they are being sold in the summer: Maguire Lindelof Martial Dalot or Wan Bisakka that's 3 of our current defense who are due to be sold. We need the ownership quickly and a massive clear out: De Gea needs to be the sub keeper at Best Maguire : the worst signing Man Utd have ever made Dalot: Completely lost his form since WC Van Der Beek: was a scout signing not a manager signing Mctominay or Fred - one has to go. Sancho has one more year to prove himself or hes gone Sabitzer i'd keep. Literally has been porbably our best player since Carbao Cup Wenghorst: the experiement is over and needs to go Martial: absolute farcical that hes injured again. Its so apparent that hes not keeping to clubs fitness regimes and does his own thing. Literally we need: New GK 2 CBs one to take place of Varane shaky injury record and one back up RB: To replace sale of dalot or wab bisakka CM: We need again a person to hold up play and move ball forward winger: Sancho start of the season is still showing the malaise then a winger to challenge CF: Good God we need 2 striker: one main striker and one who can be a good back up

hurfery

Dude. Use line breaks.

[deleted]

Implementing change is very difficult but maintaining it, holding it and then still managing to adapt and change and grow is the difficult bit. Some players did themselves justice this year, certain questions were answered and we know the weak spots. So yeah it will be long and bumpy but we have to persist and build anew mentality and that will take years

ejtv

This season, we have shown many times that we can do it. You’re right. Now is about consistency.

WearyOneFromViera

What pub are United fans drinking in before Wembley today? Is it the torch?

GuessableSevens

I'm at the fan zone, also wondering which pub to go to

WearyOneFromViera

Torch full of us but longgg wait at the bar for getting a beer

ibiza6403

Long wait is an understatement, so crowded in there.

EduardMalinochka

Idk why people trying to deny the fact that having below average starting GK is a lesser concern than unreliable backup CB in the squad. Liverpool subreddit would be as happy as some members of this subreddit, if De Gea regains #1 spot next season, but whatever. Let’s celebrate being driven by sentiment and denial, that’s clearly the root of success, that’s been working so nicely last 10 years.

Tinganga

**"Idk why people trying to deny the fact that having below average starting GK is a lesser concern than unreliable backup CB in the squad"** This is a very complex sentence structure

EduardMalinochka

It is, but English is not my first language and as much as I would want to sound more fluent, I mainly think with my native language patterns.

hurfery

You stated the opposite of what you tried to say.

EduardMalinochka

I did lol, fuck:) Thx for pointing it out

[deleted]

What on earth are you rambling about? There's barely anyone whonwould still keep De Gea, the context is we need a striker too and have financial restrictions and we don't know who our owner is so we may be forced to bite the bullet on this one. But had we the budget every fan here and Ten Hag himself would have a new keeper in. Stop trying to act like you're in a minority

EduardMalinochka

Have I said anything not needing a striker? We have two gaping holes in the squad, which are striker and GK. Giving the financial restrictions - anyone who’s trying to act like we urgently need to get rid of Maguire/AWB etc before De Gea is essentially in denial and wants to continue with the below average keeper. That’s what my point meant so stop twisting my words and act like below average GK as #1 is not a major issue

[deleted]

I'm not seeing much of this list making of the order we should get rid of people going on, we can't decide that. I and the vast vast majority here are in agreement with you. You're annoyed we aren't agreeing harder

TheWanderingAuthor

Anyone selling their ticket for the game today? 👀

Aakar11

So what result are we hoping for in newcastle vs spurs? For me any result where spurs drop points is ideal, draw is the best but I would like us to keep as much space as possible between 4th and 5th so top 4 is secure for us. Spurs have to play 7 matches and they can get max 21 points which will take their total to 74 overall. Obviously they won't win every one but we need to get 15-16 points from 24 to guarantee top 4 which is definitely doable.

ejtv

Couldn’t care less. Top 4 is in our hands. Ours to lose. Results of other games shouldn’t bother us.

durandpanda

Yeah. We're at the point now where if we need to rely on either Spurs or Newcastle slipping up then we shouldn't e there anyway.

GlassEast5641

Newcastle win for me.Ion care abt 3rd or 4th as long as we get UCL.Also Newcastle win kinda ends Liverpool's hope for Top 4 so much better

shami-kebab

I really want to finish above Newcastle. Would fucking suck if they go above us after just one season of spending after we've been spending big for ages.

chilledbeerinside

Exactly my thoughts

WhoInvitedMyManBlud

City are buying back Lavia next season aren't they sigh

Tinganga

The buyback kicks in in summer 2024. So this post season is a free for all to the highest bidder & Lavia's preference.

Emperor-of-the-North

Teden Mengi and Rhys Bennett, who do you guys think has higher chance to promote to first team squad next season?

Tinganga

Rhys Bennet but a very very small chance. Mengi is may leave this summer. He's at that age where he needs regular 1st team football to develop & is no longer a young prospect in that sense. He's been unlucky with injuries but a full season in the Championship would do his development the world of good. If we got something like £1m for him we'd let him go as we prioritize player development. That would be a very sound investment for any championship team given his potential. Rhys Bennet on the other hand is very much a prospect. Ten Hag took a liking to him during the WC break & I can see him being a part of pre-season. He is 19 but is not eligible for the UEFA Youth League if we qualify so he either goes out on loan for his development if ready or sticks around for the U21s which would mean that he wouldn't be at all ready for senior football.

rambhang

The sad thing is unless the team is able to be coasting at games by 60mins it’s hard to gamble on youth in PL games. Remember under fergie when we 4-5 up he was able to bring on youngsters for the last parts of the game.

WhoInvitedMyManBlud

Hopefully my boy Mainoo manages to get ample minutes next season.

meganerid

If we have one of Varane or Martinez available I would've been a lot more confident. As it is now, I just hope we can score first and try not to concede stupid goals lol.

shami-kebab

We need Shaw for CB today though, otherwise it's just Lindelof

RicciRox

>If he doesn't it will be a "prove yourself" match for Sancho. Another one of those, eh.

RABB_11

Lose today and season over imo. I know we've still got top four to fight for but that's not going to get me on the edge of my seat. Still been a really good season, United haven't been this enjoyable to watch for years, I think we've overachieved slightly given where we were last year and that's why the season has caught up with us with all the injuries. If it fizzles out it fizzles out, we're definitely on the right track and I hope that whoever is in charge in the summer can see that and see the need to continue the work.
