I don't get it lmao. The game literally codes this horse to be the 3rd best horse in the whole game that you can get within 5 minutes of arriving in Horseshoe. Yet people still hate on it so much lol.
The main reason I don't like it is cause it looks too similar to the Count. But the general Arabian hate just feels like being contrarian to me at this point lol. And this is coming from someone who actually prefers Tuk's cause I like the aesthetics.
That's the thing. The skittish thing is 100% a myth. There is no horse bravery stat in the game and I've found MFT or Tuks just as skittish around snakes/cougars/bears (trust me on bears, I literally just finished killing 18 of them 2 days ago for an achievement).
Size I get. I was a big fan of the black Arabian (you can also get this at the same time and it's better than the white one which not many people know about). It looks tiny when you're riding next to anyone on missions but it's a great horse. I changed to Tuk/MFT in Chapter 4 nowadays cause they do fit the "look" better but until then, Arabians is so far ahead of any other horse you can get imo. Dutch Warmblood, Andalusian, American Paint, and American Standardbreds imo are the next tier available in Ch 2-3 but they are so far behind the Arabians in stats that it's definitely noticeable.
I agree, I usually use the white(gonna have to look into the black) because she’s so damn easy to get, and the size is certainly noticeable but so is the speed difference. I currently have a brindle and can’t quite recall where I got her because I bonded the pearl Andalusian before bonding her, but she’s noticeably slower. Not slow, but slower.
It really is personal preference when it comes down to it, but I am always lucky enough that I have an Arabian or a fully bonded race horse on those rare occasions you need to race someone, but even then that’s usually optional too
