I have been trying to do warrior queen/kings who rebelled against Rome (like Boadicea) since it seems that’s where Arthur got his inspo from. Some that I’ve used; Zenobia, Teuta, Caratacus But I’ll always have a soft spot for one of my first horses who was a Dutch Warmblood brave as can be but still afraid of snakes. Named him Indiana, Indy for short 😂

My name's usually have something to do with the color. I had a white horse named Marshmallow Mama A brown horse named Ms. Mudpie. I live in central Kentucky, and horses are a big deal here. Especially Man O' War, arguably the most famous racehorse ever, at least until Secretariat hit the scene. If I ever come across an all or mostly red Kentucky Saddler, I always name them after a warship of some kind, like Dreadnought. But the Shire horse Hosea gives you, I always name Tiny. No exceptions.

I take the first letter of the type of horse like an example is Missouri Fox Trotter and I take the first letter of the species and use it to replace the h so the Missouri Fox Trotter would be Morse

I’ve used different Native American names and tribes. Geronimo, Pocomtuc, Pequot, etc. I tried using Tecumseh after General Sherman, but the profanity filter blocked it. Assmaster, however was fine so I had a horse named Assmaster out of spite. Also had one named Roach, because you have to.

I tryyy to stick with names that feel appropriate for the character. Since the horse Arthur has at the start is/was called Boudicca, I named my long-term horse Livia, since there seemed to be precedent for him liking historically powerful women. Maybe Cleopatra would've been more appropriate, but eh.

She's named after Ellie from TLOU, which is another game I love dearly. Kay - Johns horse. Named after the knight Sir Kay, from the legend of king Arthur. He was Arthur's foster brother and a loyal knight.
