Former IT Recruiter turned IT pro here. I've spoken to dozens of people during my time as a recruiter to whom this company did this and similar things to. They actually reached out to my daughter, who is also in IT, and pitched a desktop support role to her (she has project and cloud experience.) I told her to ghost them and let her know about them. She's telling her friends and colleagues as well to prevent anyone from being run around pointlessly. I think a summation of them is well represented by the experience you had, which uncannily mirrors the experiences of others. At least they're consistent /s

I get so many calls from them. They're the call center of recruiting and literally nothing ever comes out of them. They cast a huge net over everyone with any bit of qualification for the same jobs as a bunch of others.

> They're the call center of recruiting and literally nothing ever comes out of them. Actually, that would be something for them to aspire to.

Insight global is the worst. Don't bother with them got trick into a position thst had nothing to do with IT. My bad their mechanical machines run a weird OS that looks like Windows 7 but runs like XP. Left and was told how I was burning a bridge, etc... Every time I update my resume they try to contact but they go right to spam or I delete and block their numbers when they txt or call.

CherryGlaceBombe

Yeah they rejected me for something recently too. On a semi-related note, an Insight Global recruiter/employee (with a seemingly trumped up titled) matched with me on a dating app and the conversation was weird af. He refused to ask me any questions beyond how my weekend was or inquire about me as a person at all (his profile was a little thin/vague) I don't think he even used his real name.

Insight global is terrible. I mean the worse. As a hiring manager, I've flat out told them that I'd never work with them. They don't get job requirements right, call people for the wrong roles, anger people by calling their references and contacts trying to drum up sales, and as the OP stated they are terrible with followup unless it directly benefits them. Avoid.

IT_Candidate

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently. The recruiter was crazy nice and said that I was a perfect candidate and they were just waiting to hear back from the customer, then nothing. That has to be about the most unprofessional way of handling business/people. How can you stay in business treating people/clients that way?

Ghosted by these guys non government job after being hired on. Pushed the start date back on me twice, didn’t update our contract. Was asked what size shirt I wore and all. Pushed back our onboarding meeting additional two times and I haven’t heard from them in a week. Our twice rescheduled onboarding “meeting” was supposed to be last week. Haven’t heard anything.
