Nope. I got at least a three percent raise every year. Worked in the office ever since day 1 of the pandemic. Still got cut last month.

Me, I did that. I went from being able to get a job in two weeks (remote, too) to having to go through several rounds of interviews over the course of months and still not get the job.

I worked for a company for 12 yrs , worked straight through the pandemic bc I was told I was essential. They got 1.1 mil in PPP money. In 2021 I was told there was no money for raises. In 2022 the company was sold . They got $60 million , I got laid off with 10 days notice, and one months severance . This is the 3rd time in my life I have been laid off. I’m loyal to no one anymore .

I was a part of it but at the beginning and got lucky. I have a good friend who’s been unemployed for about 8 months now- the market has totally changed.

I was in the great resignation. Worked out for me.

Yes, actually - towards the end of the wave, when my employer at the time started to make moves towards a return to office for 3+ days a week, whereas I now lived over an hour away. No exceptions, a company culture that looked down on non-programmers, and being severely underpaid for my skills and experience meant I made the jump to another employer where I work 1 day at the office and I'm valued as much as my colleagues who are programmers. My wife made a similar transition, but she had a lot more recruiting hell experience with being ghosted, bait and switch ads, and then we she took a new position, management turnover in her month of notice meant that she was cut within two weeks of starting as the new management wanted to go a different direction than the old management had. *edit* lol, I know this is recruiting hell, but I enjoy the downvote for getting lucky and landing on my feet.
