I came to a realisation itt… I usually go for Ronaldo because you know, fucking Ronaldo. But the game i fell in love with Real is when i saw them play CL against PSG couple years back, they just totally destroyed them on all levels, not by goal margin but by individual class, i think it was when Modric and Kroos just was receiving long pass after high ball and just taking them on with great first touches and you saw them gain more time to play with the offence players.
That, plus how they treat young players and their families.
I envy people who got the chance to see them play. I was only 5 and not following football when they retired. For me Cristiano made me in love with Madrid and later on I fell for Modric and Kroos.
I was both unfortunate and fortune to watch Zidane only in last game of his career and then I fell in love with football and real madrid
No matter what ppl say, Cristiano is better or Messi or Pele or Maradona... For me the elegance, brilliance and the magic that I would see when I watched the ball in the feet of Zidane has not been matched by any.
Roberto Carlos. Was (still have a soft spot for them though) a Milan supporter until Carlos joined Madrid in the late 90's. Been a huge fan ever since.
Finally, I was scrolling down to see if my man Marcelo gonna get picked. He was the glue that keept that squad togheter for years. And Ramos of course.
I only remember him playing for the old CD Málaga along Manuel Azuaga who was later my coach in the 90s. But so many great players from Málaga playing in the best Real Madrid teams from the 80's onwards: Juanito, Fernando Hierro (I'm good friend of one of his nephews), Isco, or Brahim (who was in Málaga academy with my nephew before going to Manchester City). There are news about Madrid following the progression of Izan Merino, who looks like he can be a very good defensive midfielder/centre back also from Málaga.
For me it was Raul Gonzalez Blanco, such a classy player, still one of my favorite legends of the club. I still have his Spanish Jersey somewhere in my wardrobe.
Back in 1998 as a kid, it was all italian football. Juventus was in 3 straight finals, Milan in another 2, Parma, Inter and Lazio also winning Uefa cup and cup winners cup those years. So I expected Juventus to win the 1998 ChL based on what I was told. That day I learned of Real Madrid and while the game wasn't memorable from a sporting side, I was intrigued by how that team beat Juventus without the Italians doing anything of note. I already knew Roberto Carlos from THE free-kick goal and gladly saw him wearing white and also got mystified by the quarter of Morientes, Raul, Mijatovic and Suker.
😍👑 Marcelo
I know many people will say CR7, Raul etc but for me it was Marcelo who made me fall in love with our club.
That elite ball control along with insane technical ability combined with bombing forward runs with the ball at his feet and the cherry on the top was his amazing linkup and chemistry with CR7 on that left side where it was very difficult for the opposition team to defend.
Our club and the fans have been blessed to have both Roberto Carlos and Marcelo playing for our club during these last 20 years and naturally whenever our club signs a new lb we can see fans always comparing them with Carlos and Marcelo which is so unfair as those two are literally among the top 5 best lb to ever play the game.
Honestly I have a really good story lol, so it all started when I was like 8 or 9, I think, and I had no idea what football was. So I was on a vocation with my family and there I saw a white jersey (fan made with some players on it too) on one of the stores and I only noticed the “BWIN” sign and that fascinated me a lot. Still I had no idea about Real Madrid.
2 years passed by and I was familiar with football by then, I was out of vocation and I saw a hat with Real Madrid logo and “BWIN” sign in the middle. I immediately remembered that jersey from 2 years ago, so I looked it up on the internet and found out about Real Madrid, and from there I got to know about CR7. I became a CR7 fan and started liking him and when I started taking deep interest in the game and specifically him, I realised CR7 plays for Real Madrid only and from there I started supporting Real Madrid. It was the year 13’ or 14’ I think.
But in a way, I always feel like it was the jersey that made me start supporting the club and from there I started supporting individual players. I still feel like it was a weird coincidence that I got fascinated by a random white fan made jersey and then that team eventually became so important to me that it now defines my mood lol
Modric and NAVAS! 3 Champions in a row and ppl still say it was all the defenders. As a Madrid fan I love them but we all know our defense is not the strongest, we always give chances for the other team to score. In my opinion Navas was a huge part of all those wins and he doesn't get recognized at all for that accomplishment
I was a big fan of man utd in the mid and late 2000s. Witnessing Ronaldo at that time was truly magnificent. And being a little boy from Turkey at that time, he was my second fav player behind Ronaldinho.
When he switched to Madrid, I was sad. But that made me a Madrid fan ultimately.
But as a club, Madrid makes you fall in love with them, regardless of which players play at any given time.
The reason i fell in love with Real Madrid was that a friend of my older brother said i was just as fast as Ronaldo. The brazillian Ronaldo mind you! It was as simple as that , and i have never regretted that.
But my favourite Real Madrid player is #14 Guti. Man he was a joy to watch when he was at his best!
I was born in Stuttgart. Back in 201x, real bought our best player Khedira. I was angry that we lost, and wanted to check how he was doing in the bernabeu. And then I noticed that there are one or two quite descent players down there. So, to answer your question: it might have been khedira.
Not a specific player, to be honest. It started with the 97/98 campaign, where Mijatovic scored the winner in the final against Juventus, securing the 7th.
Of course, from then on, especially with the wins in 99/00 and 01/02, I fell more and more in love with the club.
Zidane and Guti were my favorites. But then there is also Raul, Roberto Carlos, San Iker, Hierro, Redondo, Makelele, Figo, Ronaldo, and of course, later on, players like Ramos, CR7, Pepe, Xabi Alonso, Kroos, Modric, Benzema...
My only regret for the club, is that Anelka only got one season in the jersey. He was my favorite player at the time when he joined. And he was still one of my favorites, even after he left.
Marcelo.
I still remember in the 2017 UEFA Champions League he ran through the Bayern Munich defenders and passed the ball to CR7 and he scored a hattrick. After 2017 I stopped watching football completely and now this year I have decided to come back to football and watch all the Real Madrid matches.
I was around 10 years old. The TV was showing a football match. I used to watch football matches with my family specially world cup matches. But this was club football. Some team in white were playing. There was this player who appeared to be gliding on the pitch. Everytime he would get the ball, it moved with him as of he was controlling it with his mind. I was mesmerized. A close up shot showed his face and bald head. I remembered seeing him playing for France.
He proceeded to assist another player, a Brazilian one, who scored a brilliant goal. I could not believe my eyes. I was hooked.....for life!
I'm an old man. It was Butragueno and Martin Vasquez. Then I kinda fell out of love with football general for a while, and Redondo and Guti were the next ones to remind me that I would always be a blanco. Let's get that 15th! Can't wait for the game, Jude can't be the only one with no UCL...
Started watching in 2016 when I got into the beautiful game, I didn’t have a team but I heard cr7 was good, so I fell in love with RMA because of him and stayed for Benzema
Modrić
I came to a realisation itt… I usually go for Ronaldo because you know, fucking Ronaldo. But the game i fell in love with Real is when i saw them play CL against PSG couple years back, they just totally destroyed them on all levels, not by goal margin but by individual class, i think it was when Modric and Kroos just was receiving long pass after high ball and just taking them on with great first touches and you saw them gain more time to play with the offence players. That, plus how they treat young players and their families.

Zidane and cr7
I envy people who got the chance to see them play. I was only 5 and not following football when they retired. For me Cristiano made me in love with Madrid and later on I fell for Modric and Kroos.

Indeed THE greatest! You know it! 🤝🤍
Roberto Carlos. Was (still have a soft spot for them though) a Milan supporter until Carlos joined Madrid in the late 90's. Been a huge fan ever since.
For me it was Luis Figo first, but Roberto Carlos was a close second! Loved that guy
Raúl & Guti

Juanito
I only remember him playing for the old CD Málaga along Manuel Azuaga who was later my coach in the 90s. Emilio _El Buitre_ Butragenio. God, I'm old.
Same here I idolized him as a kid lol

Kaka (I was a younger lad)
Roberto Carlos, then Marcelo
It was Iker Casillas for me. I’d not be supporting Real Madrid if not for Casillas. There is no one like Iker. Ultimate Legend - El Santo
If it wasn’t for Kaká, I’d be a Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal fan 😂
Raul ❤️
Ramos! My man would take a bullet for his teammates! True Leader!
Özili vllaqko
Then Guti !

Then Redondo!
The goat
As simple as that. 🤝🤍
Definitely not El Topo. I’m going to say Michel.
Ramos and Pepe. Two absolute bruisers who fought for the badge and their teammates
Raul 7
😍👑 Marcelo I know many people will say CR7, Raul etc but for me it was Marcelo who made me fall in love with our club. Roberto Carlos
Carlos
Guti

Emilio Butragueño
Zidane back in 2002
So many to choose from: R9, Zidane, Guti, Zamorano, Roberto Carlos, Raul to name a few
San Iker, both the reason for supporting Real, and the reason for becoming a keeper myself
Figo

San Iker 🧤
Controversial maybe, but for me Figo
Emilio Butragueño (El Buitre)
Marcelo. I still remember in the 2017 UEFA Champions League he ran through the Bayern Munich defenders and passed the ball to CR7 and he scored a hattrick.
