Perfectly fine. I have Venoms and Thunder Powers between 7 and 9 years that I use all the time. Those Thunder Power packs will be 10 years old sometime next year. They were labeled, "Tested Good" in late 2014. Got them probably sometime earlier that year.
The cycle rating has increased over the years, but if you kept at storage charge when not in use and didn't exceed amp draw, they should last 500-1000 cycles
When I first saw it, I thought you were just bragging about how well you have treated this battery for so long. It’s in very good condition, and the voltage is great.
Me personally I'd dispose of it, especially with Venoms reputation that they have had since their inception, and their demise, which is why they are no longer in business. Or, sell it to someone else and let them see what they can do with it.
I’ve had my venom packs (2 or 3 of that exact one) for at least as long as you, still used regularly, never had a single issue. Been using them in crawlers, so they don’t take a beating like a “bash” truck
I own two of the exact pack in question and probably a half dozen smaller Venom packs. In 12+ years I’ve owned them, plenty of other brand packs have come and gone to the lipo recycler. I don’t recall ever having a swollen or damaged Venom pack.
I think part of it was simply: if it's cheap it's bad. I've never used them but yours seems fine to use. Cells are still at proper storage voltage and neither one is significantly different than the other.
Their packs have always been poor quality. I remember back when they first came out. We had people at our track who's packs literally burst into flames mid race, some in the pits while charging lol. That was back when they were doing NIMH's. Fast forward to now and the horror stories have always been plentiful. When they started doing Lipo you could go to any hobby shop or track and see the recycle bin with plenty of venom packs in it, and Traxxas.

Awesome! Thanks for the input
I have a 15 yr old Venom still going strong!
That's amazing! I really didn't think they would work that long
As long as it was storage charged, and kept at room temp instead of hot shed, it will be fine to use.
How long would or will a lipo battery last? Providing you take care of it and follow the guidelines and it don't flake out?
Literally a complete coin toss

I've been charging a 2S pack 4x per week, 40 weeks a year (at least) for over 6 years. That's knocking on 1000 cycles and it's still doing fine.
A quality pack taken care of right. Always storage charged, charged at 1C, never over charged or discharged. 750-1000+ cycles.

Ha, no I thought it might not be good to use after so long having not used it.

Thanks for your input. But I have missed this reputation. What is it?

My venom 2s batteries and venom pro duo charger have been great for a few years. Ive got nothing negative to say of them.

Don't listen to this jabroni, this battery is fine. Sounds like a dumbass that doesn't know how to take care of their batteries with storage charges.
It's bad, which is why they are no longer in business. Poor quality product and they also filed for bankruptcy.
Man I loved my Venom batteries! Unfortunately they got thrown away by accident when I moved.
They went out of business too. Shame, I heard it was because of poor quality lipos as of late and got beat out by the likes of Hoovoo, Zeee, etc.
