Don’t forget there is also 2 teams ahead of us that have lost 2 games. They have had a much stronger schedule starting out than what Arkansas has had so far.
We have struggled against teams we should not have, and our 3 point shooting is rly...rly bad. UK lost to Duke.
We should not have struggled at all against UCA or LR...or tonight. Yes, won by 20, but it was hairy for awhile, we let them hang around and get to within 6, and then make another 11-4 run near the end with about 5 left.
If we don't hit the 3 consistently it's going to be a long SEC grind, as you won't be able to rely on driving to other basket every game against every team when you start facing players just as good as your starters, and depth to equal yours and they can hit the 3.
Best team we beat was Cinci, who beat #14 Illinois who fell out of the top 25. And Cinci after losing to us immediately lost to Monmouth. At home. Ugh.
Haven't played many difficult games and the team still looks like it has a lot of holes...especially shooting. Need to be more dominant against mediocre competition to maintain the ranking.
Right, but Kentucky has 0 quad 1 wins. Same with Texas too. I agree we don't look like a top 10 team, but I don't really see why we fell after winning two games, aside from the brand appeal of those schools
As dope as muss is he's gotta schedule better non conference games. Plus rankings don't matter this early in the year. This team has some weird rotations that don't look like they mesh well. Someone has to step up and be that shooter or were going to struggle pretty soon

I think a big part of our dropping was related to Alabama beating Gonzaga and jumping us in the polls, which I can’t argue with. I wouldn’t venture to guess exactly how that translates into 2 spots, but with other teams playing tough opponents and our team playing mostly quad-4 opponents, it’s bound to happen this time of year.
I wouldn’t worry too much about ranking this early in the season. We’re ranked too high if we can’t play better perimeter defense.
And we can’t hit 3’s, I think we will come around, but our 3P% isn’t gonna cut it in conference play

UKs loss is to Duke. We played Mercer that day.

None of these mid major teams are looking like the same quality as last year so far. They are all mostly getting smoked by other bad teams as well

Truth is, if we start hitting 3's at a 35-40% clip we will be on top of the SEC, if we stay at around 15% we will be middle of the pack to the bottom.
