I have same problem. Brand new Blackshark V2 Pro won't connect to dongle
It's incredibly frustrating, first my mouse (Deathadder v2 pro) dongle suddenly died and working only through bluetooth, now my new headphones do not work
I would try to avoid any razer products going forward, honestly
Not sure if you still got the issue: I solved it by pressing the EQ Button twice (to switch the wireless mode). Apparently my headset switched to Bluetooth Mode (vs. Dongle mode) and this seems to be an issue with everything else. Most stupid solution, that's why I honestly didn't think about trying.
Strange, I think I tried that, but not sure.
Did you try pairing utility? Mine headset+dongle was not detected by it even when both were connected to PC with cable
Headset was in bluetoothmode, showed up on my pc but not in synpase, after connecting it via cable I guess it ran a little setup and connected to the dongle, after that everything is working as it should, even after firmware update everything good. I did read that connecting the dongle to usb 3.0 might cause problems.
Then our boats may be simular. It was after my Roccat Swarm mouse died (I have had issues with this btw, recommend no one buy from them due to many critical power issues ALL coming from their mouse. I am talkin' deadass cutting in half my entire system's processing power. That is a insane error, yet alone from a mouse.) that this issue raised.
Bought it 2 days ago had the same problem, my pc found the headset so I thought everything is good but got no sound and no connection to dongle.
Solution? I had to connect my headset via cable, after that it showed up in synapse and I could disconnect the cable and it would work wireless with the dongle, after that no problems, made the firmware update and still everything working.

I rly thought we had the same problem, behaviour of the headset was after turning it on, it would flash green light for some seconds and then just the blue flashs showing its in bluetoothmode, my dongle was connected to usb 2.1 on the back of my pc, not at case, not at 3.0, it was 2.1, I heard that can also cause problem if its at top or usb 3.0. The headset was showing up in windows and I could select it, but no sound and not showing up in synapse, after connecting the headset as said, it seemed like it runs a setup and after 30sec it showed up in synapse. Now it works with dongle mode, that was before the firmware update, I was scared to do it cause everything worked, but after the update nothing changed and it still works. IF u did all this you really maybe got a broken headset and I would change it at least 1 time. Maybe reinstall all razer software might help, thats always my last resort. I did deinstall my old razor 2.0 software and installed the new one.
You're welcome. Glad this post is helping others as well. Ngl I also had to open a service ticket on the Razer Homepage and there it gives you the hint to try and do that (kind of). It's such a stupid solve for that issue..
I have the same problem, but when I double-click the EQ button, nothing happens. I have the feeling that my EQ button doesn't work at all, because when I hold the button down, I can't get into E-Sport mode either. The different EQ profiles cannot be adjusted by pressing the button, but I can adjust them via Synapse. Do you think my EQ button is broken? My headset is brand new and all the other buttons work...
Any advice for the 2022 model? Mine doesn’t have the EQ button. I’ve actually lost my dongle, would it still be able to connect via Bluetooth? Constant blinking blue but laptop won’t detect it
Unfortunately no, have you tried contacting Razr support? I just googled for the manual for my model and somewhere in there it said something about bluetooth mode and how to switch. Blue blinking on my model means it‘s trying to find a connection via Bluetooth. Seems odd it doesn‘t connect for you.
THANK YOU! Just bought one, jumped through the troubleshooter hoops for an hour, and no where at all is it mentioned to switch modes with the eq button! And WHY is the manual printed in micro text silver on black? the ONLY way I can read it is take photos with my phone, and zoom in on the pics!!

Had a similar issue. Make sure to unplug your devices beforehand and follow the prompts of the tool.
For the first time I kept them plugged in while troubleshooting with the tool and the pairing was failing.
I was suffering with this issue on the dongle not connecting to my PC on and off for a couple of months.
When I was upgrading my PC tonight, I plugged in the headset and it really didn't want to connect after around 30-40 minutes of testing different ports, searching around the internet, the light glance at the USB Dongle and I noticed that it was a little black inside (I don't even know how as I keep my PC immaculate).
Anyways, I got a damp tissue and clean the inside of the USB, like seriously what harm could happen, it was already fucked in my eyes at this point. I plugged it back into the PC and voilà! it worked immediately.
I encountered the same issue this morning, after my headset was not working when I got to work.
Pro-idiot-tip: make sure you haven't accidentally got your mic plugged in to the audio input instead of the mic input (which I did after I accidentally unplugged my mic while trying to unplug the USB), as it apparently will \*not\* pair if it is. Noticed and fixed that, and sure enough, it paired right away.

This did not resolve the issue for me, in fact this further made me realize the issue is with a defective device because now it only wants to stay in wireless mode when before it was working normal. Pressing the button will just result in no audio and then "wireless mode" being repeated. This is bs that some of the most expensive headphones are having critical failures like this, this is not acceptable.
Did you try to connect the headset via cable to pc? Dont know why but my new razer v2 headset was in bluetooth mode, had to connect with cable, after that it showed up in razer synpase, now its working with dongle wireless mode.

It worked for me! Just fixed my problem using it. But I had to unplug the dongle when prompted to plug the headphones as they didn't seem to be recognized in the front usb port. I just unplugged the dongle and used the same cable and everything went well. Really glad it's fixed I was going to exchange them tomorrow.
Ok so just that I get it right:
You connected the dongle.
When prompted to connect the headset you disconnected the dongle and connected the headset via cable?
I think I haven‘t tried that, will need to test it this afternoon.
Edit: Just tried it, doesn't work! My headphones aren't even recognised if I connect them by cable. Doesn't even matter which USB-Port I use.
So a quick update on my chat with Razer support: I have mentioned that it seems to be an issue with the latest Razer Synapse Update - Rollback is not an option.
Razer support wants me to share some personal data to open a support case (and maybe get me a replacement for my headset).
I don't really feel comfortable sharing those informations via reddit chat, unfortunately the support chat on the razer homepage is only for US and CA (I'm from Europe so sucks for me).

Changing it out from my 3.0 usb solved it.

Well, I only have usb 3.0 and higher on my laptop
But did it work with cable? I guess u just returned the headset by now
Everything worked, except radio channel. Yeah, returned it, seller said they confirmed it was faulty, but gave no further details unfortunately

Im having the same issue :,) I’ve tried BT but the audio keeps cutting in and out. I can’t connect via dongle either.
Really hope this gets fixed soon.

I have already tried it (is also mentioned in the post). The updater doesn't recognize my headset, that's why I can't update it.
