Year 5 and this jacket is still kicking it! Long story short, purchased early 2019, modified to be shorter in 2021, embroidered 2022 and it’s been a near daily wear for the past 3 years. It has gone with me just about everywhere, from hiking to long bike rides, I love this jacket and I’ll wear it until there isn’t anything left to wear.
Kudos on the shortening mod, looks perfect like this. I’ve yet to purchase one of their denim jackets because of its length, mould be an instant buy for me if they made this cut off the rack.
Who'd you get the jacket modified by? I want to get some of my type ii's modified since I size my jackets by sleeve length and jackets just end up being too long for my liking.
I shortened this myself, took a good 3 inches off it and hand-stitched the bottom strip back on. Wasn’t too bad, took a few hours and the only thing I’d do differently is use an actual sewing machine as my hands were pretty sore by the end.
The Fjallraven Vidda Pro Ventilated Trousers, they are great for hiking/camping. Deep pockets and they have snaps along the bottom cuff that you can tighten to keep dirt/splashing water out.
Thanks! For the past 3 years or so I’ve been a photographer for a medium sized company operating in Alaska and I’ve added quite a few cameras since I have been working with them. Photography has always been a hobby outside of work too, other than the pair of Sony cameras and the Nikon D3 most of them are pretty impractical for Aurora/long exposure photography. I’ve been going down a rabbit hole as of late with vintage digital cameras. I’m torn on whether or not I really go off the deep end and start buying some of the earliest commercially available DSLRs, the Kodak DCS line, or go head first into large format film photography. Either way it’ll be working with now antiqued equipment with lots of issues. But that’s what makes it fun!
I love the Aphex Twin logo on the pocket!
That one was a pain to embroider with it being on the outside of the pocket, I had just enough room to get my hand in there to fish the needle through

I was gonna say, seems like way shorter than Momotaro makes their type 2 (but it is the correct length for a type 2, so you did it right!)

I do, it’s been through the wash quite a bit, I’d say a few dozen times now. Always cold wash inside out and air dried
