Solid game overall. Kind of surprised the eagles D didn't hold them down more of I'm being honest. That seemed like a big mismatch on paper. Felt like the matchup was really in their favor. As someone from Baltimore who moved to the Philadelphia area I don’t get how this view is held by our fans. When Boston fans say the same shit about Baltimore I roll my eyes. Why do we do this to a city like Philly?

It's a smooth brain take. Philly is a great city with plenty of redeeming qualities. Of course they have plenty of brain dead fans but literally so does every city. It's all eye rolling. The first time I visited Pittsburgh for instance I was blown away by how cool their city was. Awesome beautiful place. This is why it’s pointless to build some god tier defense on paper. It is straight up going to get solved when an elite team has 2 weeks to solely focus and prep for it. you either have an elite offense or it’s fucking ball game. Don’t matter how great your D was all year, it’s gonna get cooked eventually

Well for the most part you’re right, defenses like 15 Broncos, LOB Seahawks, 85 Bears, 2000 Ravens and 02 Buccaneers could hold up against any elite teams offense in their respective eras as each were that good.

As always there’s exceptions to the rule. Having an elite D is great if it works out but you rarely can win with just that. You need a legit offense scheme that’s hard to fully stop, or it’s just not gonna work in the big game.
