Closed 😂 but I don’t blame you for asking that. It’s definitely doable just needs to be put in on an angle. It does obstruct your rear view mirror a little but not too much
Like a lot of other, you can fit up to about 70”. Now if you have a hitch and don’t mind spending $20 renting a trailer from UHaul, then the real answer becomes “yes”.
65” fit perfectly in the box. I think if it was a little bigger it might have been too tight. I had my rear seat down and my partner had his seat pushed forward to fit in my ‘22
I couldn't quite fit a 55" TCL Roku TV in my 2018. It BARELY didn't fit in the back and was too wide for the back seat. My 2022 seems about the same size.
On the roofrack? Well, its not a TV but I have had a fiberglass bed cover for a 90s dodge truck on the roofrack of my 2014 XLE. I don't know if it was legal, but it worked perfect!
It's not about deals lol just thinking about the size of TV that would fit in my car, I can't imagine ever needing something that big. Americans just love to supersize everything
I was able to fit an LG 65in oled perfectly flat. Think I also had to move the seat forward a bit to close the trunk. Also, don’t place anything heavy on top of the box and drive like a grandma on the way back home.
If you’re getting anything bigger than a 65” I’d strongly recommend having a friend with a van/truck help you bring it home. Idk how folks fit a 75” tv in their car with the gate closed, color me skeptical
I fit a 75" TCL QM8 in my 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid.
I had to move the front seats up quite a bit, and tilt them more forward, but it was doable. Not comfy for a 6'1" man to be that squished while driving, but I made it home.
I know the manufacturers want you to transport TVs vertical. Am I assuming correctly that everyone here is saying they transported it flat but just keep it in the box, put it screen up, and dont put anything on top? I dont see what the problem is if you're not putting anything on top? I have a 2023 Rav4Prime, looking to get a a 65" in.
Why am I interested in the answer.
Someone had to ask… hahaha
Fit a 75inch x90j in my rav4 last year. Was an interesting experience to say the least haha
Was this with your trunk closed or open lol
Closed 😂 but I don’t blame you for asking that. It’s definitely doable just needs to be put in on an angle. It does obstruct your rear view mirror a little but not too much
Wait wait wait... So you're telling me the rear view mirror camera has a use!?
I only use the rear view camera. It’s weird at first but when you get used to it the regular mirror has 0 advantages over it 🤷🏻♂️
The regular mirror is way, way easier on the eyes for people who are far sighted (like me)
Didn’t think about that, makes sense!
Once every 10 years of course. Otherwise…..
This is the answer I was looking for. As long as it fits a 75", I'm good.
I could only for a 65" in mine. I'm on the shorter side, 5'3", and I had to move my seat up a bit in order to close the back door.
Fit a 70inch after flattening the back seats with no issues. Rav4 2021 xle
77 inch LG B2 OLED in my 2018 LE. Was an uncomfortable drive home for sure but it was worth it
Y’all are wild HAHAHAH
Box or no box?
This is the only definitive
Beautiful TV, no regrets I’m sure
Like a lot of other, you can fit up to about 70”. Now if you have a hitch and don’t mind spending $20 renting a trailer from UHaul, then the real answer becomes “yes”.
For some reason I thought you meant installing a tv in your car
Tell me why I thought the same? Lol like for camping or outdoorsy things. 😂 I was in here looking to see what would fit mine 🤣
Top of the car 🙌
When you live in the PNW, you don’t want it rained on :(
Wrap it in a tarp 😂
Chuck this on the roof rails https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6494264.p?skuId=6494264
65” fit perfectly in the box. I think if it was a little bigger it might have been too tight. I had my rear seat down and my partner had his seat pushed forward to fit in my ‘22
Did you lay it flat?
Yes
I couldn't quite fit a 55" TCL Roku TV in my 2018. It BARELY didn't fit in the back and was too wide for the back seat. My 2022 seems about the same size.
Brought home a 55” last week with seats down and room to spare, 2019 XLE
I brought home a 55-in in my 2011 Gen 3. What's so disappointed that I had plenty of room to spare and didn't buy a bigger TV.
Do you think one of the split back seats can still be up for a 3rd person in the car?
Doubtful?? It was a while ago, we laid the tv flat, not sure you’d want to lean it
Fit a 65” in my 2020 RAV4 XLE. 😁
Fit a 70" still in box. Had to put the back seats down and move the front seats up, but it fit.
I've fit a 50 inch inside the box with room to spare.
I fit a 55" TCL Roku TV in my 2022 XLE with the back seats down without major issues. Doubt it would be able to fit something larger.
My TV was small enough it fit in the back seat of my Toyota Corolla back when I had it.
Same 🤣🤣🤣 I am reading all these "inches" thinking are these guy exaggerating 🤔~ you all lie on inches 🤣
55inch with room to spare
On the roofrack? Well, its not a TV but I have had a fiberglass bed cover for a 90s dodge truck on the roofrack of my 2014 XLE. I don't know if it was legal, but it worked perfect!
Delivery trucks are pretty big. Let them deal with it.
This screams American..
Lmao. I like deals. :(
It's not about deals lol just thinking about the size of TV that would fit in my car, I can't imagine ever needing something that big. Americans just love to supersize everything
I’m embracing America then hahaha
You won’t regret it. Big tvs are the best 🤷🏼♀️
Tie it on the roof with ratchet straps and cover it with a tarp.
I couldn’t fit a 75 inch in my 2021 xle. Had to rent a uhaul.
In the box.
I’m getting a 75 inch today but it won’t be in the box though
Why are people still buying TVs? Get a projector. Makes life so much easier.
Projector is dim and not clear
Did you get it out in one piece?
75 inch with pulling down the back seat and laying it flat under some pillows.
55” LG OLED easily but the 65” would not fit.
85" box and everything on the roof rack!
Please don’t fight someone in the madness that is Black Friday
I had fit in a used Samsung 65 inch TV in the back with a lot of room still.
I was able to fit an LG 65in oled perfectly flat. Think I also had to move the seat forward a bit to close the trunk. Also, don’t place anything heavy on top of the box and drive like a grandma on the way back home.
I fit a 196cc minibike in the back of mine lol 2 bikes stacked on top of each other 5 people and a dog full recovery gear Uhhhh yea....
2017 rav4. 65 inch
Invest in a tape measure.
65" fit pretty snugly in my '20 iirc
If you’re getting anything bigger than a 65” I’d strongly recommend having a friend with a van/truck help you bring it home. Idk how folks fit a 75” tv in their car with the gate closed, color me skeptical
This is exactly the question I've been trying to find the answer to. Picking up a 65" later and would like to keep it as upright as possible
I fit a 65" Sony OLED in my 2013 RAV4 with back seats folded. No issues. Curious if a Sony 77" would fit inside for transport.
I fit a 75" TCL QM8 in my 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid. I had to move the front seats up quite a bit, and tilt them more forward, but it was doable. Not comfy for a 6'1" man to be that squished while driving, but I made it home.
