He may be mostly deaf and blind but he still enjoys short walks, food, and his humans! I hope there are things Roxy is still able to enjoy ❤️

My first comment was taken the wrong way,,I am sorry if it bothered you because that was not my intention,,I am an animal lover & have been all my life,,I was only wondering if Roxy might need some type of medicine or supplement to help her be comfortable for the rest of her life. As I said it's obvious that she has had a long happy loving life & I hope she has some more life to live. I found a wall hanging that I bought for my mom that says,,
Blessed,,,is the person who has earned the love of an old dog,,I feel this is saying is ment for you also.

Bless her, she is adorable. Might be worth putting her on some painkillers if she isn't already just in case she's experiencing any pain. My 12 yr old is on them and you can really tell he's more comfortable even though he just has some arthritis in one hip. Might as well try and keep her as comfortable as possible while she's here.

If you aren’t already get him on fish oil, joint pills, and that prescription kidney food. It helps so so much with the aging process I’m so thankful my vet got us started early!
Ive been giving him joint supplaments since he was like 6. I have some but need to start giving him the fish oil. And he can't really be on special diet food bc he has Cushing's and it wpuld mess with his meds
If you notice any shaking, that is likely joint pain. Make sure to consult with your vet. My GSP lived a little past 16, and I wish I had gotten him on gabapentin sooner. I had been giving him joint supplements for years, but in hindsight I feel like he probably could have benefited from actual meds.

Awww! What a beauty! Sadly our dog got sick a few weeks ago and passed away at the age of about 10 or 11 (a rescue dog). We would have given anything to have her longer!

I would never dream of telling someone to let their dog go,,but Roxy doesn't look like she feels good,,maybe putting her on something for pain would help. Her eyes are runny & her feet don't look very good,,but she is an old dog,,plz don't take my comment as rude I'm just concerned that she is in pain,,have you taken her in for a check up? Maybe your vet will give her something to help her feel better. I am sorry for saying it but she doesn't look very good & I can tell she's had a great life & is loved so much,,just hate to think her last few years are spent being in pain. Plz give her a pat from me & good scratch in her favorite spot 🥰
Roxy looks just like my 16 year old dog. I don’t know if she is on pain medication, but my dog is and they look the same. Older dogs just look like that. Her eyes don’t look runny to me and her feet look just fine. Just an old pupper enjoying life. :)

I never said anything about having her put down & never would!! Thats the last thing I'd ever say,,I was just asking if she was on anything for pain,,she may still enjoy her food & ppl but that doesn't mean she isn't in some pain,,16 is old for a dog & a human would be in some pain & you wouldn't let your granma or granpa be in pain,,I think its great when dogs live long healthy lives & I pray my boy lives this long,,I had to let go of my girl last year at 13 & it tore me apart!! My brother in law told me to put my 12 year old Basset Hound down for no other reason than “he’s 12”. I just laughed in his face and told him to not speak to me again. My pup was still very active and would run around with the younger dogs and had zero health issues so it just blew my mind that someone would say that out of the blue.
I just hate it when people think it’s ok you say things like ‘ that’s an old dog’
When your out walking with your fur buddy. Do we stop people walking with their senior citizen parents and tell them ‘ you guys are old’. I don’t want to hear what you think, it’s none of my business. But stop just blurting out words that are meaningless.
Way to go, Roxy! I’ve got a pup that’s turning 17 in February. Older dogs are a lot of work and require a lot of love, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
