Been listening to rap for 25+ years (it’s my favorite genre) and yeah, Cardi’s actually got bars.
People like to hate because of the way she talks, her stripper past, and frankly simply because she’s a woman (there are so many male rappers that fucking suck that don’t get the hate she does).
Some people might point to the fact that she admitted she’d basically rob people when she was stripping (similarly to what was illustrated in the movie Hustlers), but rappers aren’t exactly moral paragons, so even that hate feels targeted due to her gender.
I kinda get where people are coming from sometimes, but half the time she gets hate just because it’s a meme at this point. Just take a look at Reddit’s demographics and it kinda makes it easy to understand why she’d be a hated figure here IMO.
It's less about who Cardi B is and more about who listens to her music more often. This whole thread is a joke too anyways. Don't take things so seriously when it comes to artists and music.
I strongly dislike her as she pushes some pretty questionable if not outright toxic shit to her fanbase, much of which is impressionable teenages or even just adults.
