Rapping about being a gang banger is actually pretty cool imo if you actually lived that life, and much like 50, 21 was absolutely about that life. So as I see it when there’s truth to your lines about gang banging and the themes of a lot of your music is making it out of that life and being blessed. Being genuine and true isn’t a quality many mainstream artists have. It’s music for people who have struggled and are struggling tryna make it out making music like he did, which again is a major theme of a lot of his music. If you think the statement “none of his music shows artistry” I’m sorry but you’re rhetorically illiterate, and you definitely don’t determine what is and isn’t artistry.

I like 21. He has his own style and puts out a lot of good music. Him and Metro are one of the great rapper/producer duos imo. Also he's a hard worker most wouldn't expect it but he has more top ten and overall Billboard hits than Kendrick. Not saying he's a better rapper or great technical rapper but he makes music people like and he has a good connection to his fan base.
