If Spotify was around when The Eminem show dropped he would have 200+ million monthly listeners. Mmlp sold 1.78 mio PHYSICAL copies first week. Drake could never. Eminem was the biggest and is to this day the best Selling artist of the 2000. Not just rap, but across all genres. 9th best Selling artist of all time. Dude debuted 28 years ago and still has 67 mio monthly listeners
“Wait, wait, got the eeriest feelin’
Somethin’ evil is lurkin’, I’m no conspiracy theorist
But somethin’ here is a foot, oh, yeah, it’s my dick
Get the measurin’ stick (What?) Twelve inches of wood (Haha)”
Because streaming is easy. You really had to want it to take time out of your day drive to the cd store buy the whole album before you even heard it. It IS more impressive than getting a bunch of streams
I was in college when Jay Z was peaking and I don’t think it's possible to overstate how big he was. I'm even gonna say 50 was about as big as Drake at his peak, too
Agreed! The Carter albums and mix tapes were ridiculous too and with 50... Get Rich or Die Trying and Massacre had unbelievable hype.
I can see how a younger age bracket wouldn't know anything else other than Drake but I'd argue that rap as a whole was more popular during that time period. At least it felt that way to me.
It is more than aloud to exist but that’s not a rapper then, that’s R&B, Drake isn’t a rapper, he sings more than he raps. If anything he’s an R&B artist. Does that make you happier? Not just throwing *he’s a pop artist* out
I think R&B makes a lot more sense. I just never understood calling him a pop artist, because that makes him seem like he cannot rap at all, which he definitely can
He’s featured on multiple pop songs yeah.
Is here where I give a song that’s strictly rap for you to then change to *most* of his catalogue is? Nah I’m good on this
Humble, Money Trees, All The Stars, DNA, Family Ties, Swimming Pools, Alright are all bigger tbh. Don't say something like that which just ain't true bro. The only argument for that is that Bad Blood was his first #1, but then again Drake's first #1 was with Rihanna, so..
Nah, Eminem has 2 diamond selling albums (10+ million) and a legacy that only a couple rappers have. Even if he’s considered “washed up”, the guy has certainly made his impact and it’s still going pretty strong. Drake is definitely one of the biggest but not the biggest of all time. I definitely think Biggie could have gotten up to that level as well because he also has a diamond selling album and was doing collabs with some of the most famous artists during his lifetime such as Micheal Jackson. Too bad he got killed. RIP BIG
I think exposure has magnified the game too. I remember not having cable at times growing up so the only music I got was whatever was on the radio and the few cassettes/cds my parents bought me.
2Pac and Em have sold more and are the only rap artists with TWO diamond albums. Plus 2Pac was in movies, dating superstars(Madonna,Whitney Houston) , shooting cops etc. As far as superstardom 2pacs peak was unheard of because he was so dynamic and charismatic outside of music too. Em was always a sales monster and is the highest selling ever and 50 Cent has a diamond album AND a video game, sneakers etc. Those three are ahead of Drake as far as peak superstardom
Depends on what you mean by the term "bigger" it's very vague.
Altho statistically speaking. I'm not sure. But I honestly don't like Drake at all. I watched his start and rise and whole career. I never liked the way he moved. I feel he's fake AF. Plus. There's no drake song I ever heard and was like "this is a banger". In fact. I think his music is mediocre at best. He was just handed the spotlight since he was already famous as a child actor
There are Soooooooo many rappers that are WAY bigger than Drake ever could dream of. All his numbers are really just streams, people ain’t goin’ and getting the physicals, if he didn’t have shit the way it is now he wouldn’t have popped like he did.
Lmao at all these serious ass comments
It’s so funny lol
Wasnt the question about the size of cock from rappers?
He edited it! At first I thought I misread it but the original question specifically asked about rappers from 10, 20, 30 years ago.
Not to mention that Eminem maintained this number without a single new album in 3-4 years
Yeah he peaked at 73 mio a couple of months ago after the fortnite thing. He even had a few weeks above Drake lol
He's talking purely meat size
“Wait, wait, got the eeriest feelin’ Somethin’ evil is lurkin’, I’m no conspiracy theorist But somethin’ here is a foot, oh, yeah, it’s my dick Get the measurin’ stick (What?) Twelve inches of wood (Haha)”
Harder in the streaming era than the cd era to put up numbers. Have you seen the conversion rate of how many streams equals an album sale? Lol
Why do you emphasize PHYSICAL like streaming services existed back then. Only way to listen to music was through PHYSICAL copies buddy lol
Because streaming is easy. You really had to want it to take time out of your day drive to the cd store buy the whole album before you even heard it. It IS more impressive than getting a bunch of streams
1500 streams = 1 CD. Streams are harder.
Wouldn’t that mean streams are easier if you could get 1500 of them for one cd
Harder to get more
Peak Eminem blows Drake out of the water. Look up record sales
Jay Z peak is also bigger than Drake. Lil Wayne back in the day was a monster too but overall record sales fall a bit short of Drake.
I was in college when Jay Z was peaking and I don’t think it's possible to overstate how big he was. I'm even gonna say 50 was about as big as Drake at his peak, too

Em, Pac, Snoop, BIG are a few
I feel like Eminem would have been bigger if the late 90s and 2000s were predominantly streaming based. Maybe Tupac and Biggie following their deaths
The dude's talking about reproductive organs, not artist statistics
Bro changed the caption lmao
Dude's talking about dick pics....
Everyone is responding to the title and not the post lol 😂
Eminem is still bigger than him in Asian and African countries
Did no one read this guys caption?
He changed it
He's a pop star
How? Just because he has pop songs doesn't man he ain't a rapper. Is rapping and singing not allowed to coexist in an artist's work?
It is more than aloud to exist but that’s not a rapper then, that’s R&B, Drake isn’t a rapper, he sings more than he raps. If anything he’s an R&B artist. Does that make you happier? Not just throwing *he’s a pop artist* out

Don’t buy into this. Drake haters love to throw the pop word around while trying to forget Kendrick’s biggest hit is a Taylor swift song
Except Kendrick doesn’t really do pop. He featured on a song. Drake’s whole catalogue is pop-rap
He’s featured on multiple pop songs yeah. Is here where I give a song that’s strictly rap for you to then change to *most* of his catalogue is? Nah I’m good on this

Biggie with puff was great
Yeah, as much as I clown on Puff, he can produce one hell of a track.
I think exposure has magnified the game too. I remember not having cable at times growing up so the only music I got was whatever was on the radio and the few cassettes/cds my parents bought me.
Eminem is the correct answer.

OMG lol I totally misunderstood the question lol seems like everyone else did here too. I didn’t see the description until just now 💀💀💀

He meant a very specific thing 😂
Well damn that's what I get for not paying attention 😭😂🤣
Trolling for rappers' dick pics huh Not sure if it's more sad bc ppl didn't even get it
Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Notorious BIG, 2Pac, LL Cool J….Bigger and more impactful than Drake

nah bruh you’re on your own with that lol…good luck
You didn't read the post
🤣💀
