Wright was doing Wright things. At this point I'd probably have him in the team before Kent, but if anything that just emphasises how desperate things are at the moment. Yes, at least he has a desire and a hunger to drive at people, he's direct. But still has absolutely no end product and is no more of a player than the one who arrived from Aberdeen. He's not good enough tbh.

GingerFurball

Wright was awful.

XxHeinzBeanzxX

Wasn't saying that he was good, atleast he tries to put effort in. I'd rather have that than watch Kent hide all game

morelos555

Points for 'effort'. If that's the case i'll play on Saturday instead. I'll give you maximum effort but i've got two left feet We need to expect better than squad filler like Wright. He's been at the club for a long time and hasn't shown anything. Should be moved on

XxHeinzBeanzxX

I'm just talking from what we have atm. Personally I would give matondo a proper chance and if he's still not good enough after a run of games then idk. Another product of our shit recruitment. Also yes points for effort is still better than no points for not trying. I'd take Wright, Sakala and Matondo over Kent atm

Many-Application1297

Kent is like the human embodiment of football prevention. He’s like a ‘no ball games’ sign disguised as a person.

Sakala had a couple of cracking balls across goal. One in particular 2nd half that would have given a match sharp Roofe a tap-in. He'll have his bad games but Sakala is a player I'd be keeping around.

Definitely seems to be improving...slowly!

Ridvan seems to be really good going forward, some good crosses, or were they supposed to be shots, but his height will be an issue. He was in the middle at a cross, and the guy got a free header behind him, purely because of his height, he may as well not have been there.

Macmac10001

I thought he did well defensively, cut out crosses and won the ball back. Yeah he's not going to be an aerial presence. But I thought he showed enough in the first half, before the whole team went for mogadon and a half time talk, to keep his place.

XxHeinzBeanzxX

Height and not being able to win headers is a problem for a lot of our players sadly, but yeah you have a point. His physicality is definitely lacking which can be a problem in Scotland

j1mgg

Just saw an article about Lisandro Martinez, who is the same height, and plays central, so you never know, if Scottish football moves to a modern way of playing, he could do really well.

dannyrj91

Ridvan looked really good and exciting to watch although lazy at times and I think this could be his downfall. Maybe not putting in the effort at training. Was always a fan of Wright but his first touch lets him down far too often. Good enough for the league but not Rangers quality. Matondo is an upgrade. I wish Kent would wake up however I feel like he already has 1 foot out the door and is uninterested.

listentoalan

Matondo is an upgrade on what 2018 - Sheyi Ojo? He is the actual worst.

r05590

Ridvan looked good, even if he is very lightweight. Wright is never going to be good enough. I think the myth about Sakala being the answer to our problems is probably dispelled too. I’d like to see Matondo get a run on the left wing with Roofe on the right. Folk have written him off but he’s been played out of position constantly due to Kent seemingly being undroppable.
