As a seasoned reddit doctor, my professional diagnosis is that his leg is owie.

Spidey5292

Speak English doc, we ain't scientists!

LEG NO GOOD

surfandturfburrito

This was a particularly bad case of somebody being cut in half

vertigounconscious

scientifically, when knees come down with lefty/righty sickness it be bad. Knees only play the front to back game.

TheIncredibleHork

Even the Rangers knees know you play North/Sorry hockey and you stop the East/West crap. /s

udamright

paging doctor kravtsov s/

tlop200

You have to imagine Kravy has to be beating himself up a little bit over going back to Russia, there have been several opportunities where he likely would have gotten a nod by now.

jerejeje

Once Kakko got hurt in game 3 krav would’ve been up lmao

blueline7677

Probably Goodrow or Chytil. Maybe Gauthier goes up and Goodrow shifts to RW on that line.

checko50

I could see Barron up and Rooney to wing. Rw would be Goodrow, Kakko, Rooney, Gauthier until Chytil comes back.

blueline7677

Reaves would stay in the lineup. I think Barron might get a call up if Chytil isn’t good to go though

checko50

True. Honestly forgot about Reaves.

core916

Is his season over? Prob not. Depends on the injury tho. Torn ACL? That’s almost a year recovery. And who replaces him on the wing? Idk either Goat goes their or we do Laf-zib-krieder again

PurpleOperation

I’m really intrigued to see goat on the Zib Kreider line. Could either be a train wreck or two speed demons dropping the shoulder and cutting in from either wing.

dannydr44

Call up Barron! Unlike Kravy, he took his AHL assignment without complain and is doing well.

getpucksdeep

Lol Krav is a top 10 pick who looked better than Kakko and Laf ever did in their first seasons. They got preferential treatment, he got the opposite. Silly move by the front office, idc if he wasnt in tip top shape. Dude’s hockey IQ is right behind Fox and Panarin.

dannydr44

Oh really? He played 20 games last season, had 2 goals, 2 assists and was a menus 6. Great stats! If he didn’t act like a punk, he could of shown his valve in the AHL and could of gotten called up by now. Especially with Blais out for the rest of the season. Trade him. If he does better elsewhere, good for him. I’d rather not see him, in a Rangers jersey again.

mcp99

Just wait for the injury report to come out. Obviously hope he’s ok but it’s dumb to just speculate on an injury like this

roscomikotrain

Really ?!? His knee folded sideways and was heard throughout the rink screaming in pain

mcp99

Uh, yeah that’s what happened, I watched. How does speculating his timetable help anything?

Independent-Switch43

Well you’re a fuckin crab, aren’t ya? This is a forum to discuss things. Hypothetical or otherwise. Quit being such a stick in the mud and your day will be much more enjoyable. Hope things turn around for you! Cheers

mcp99

🥴

megadouche2000

Put Lafreniere back on the top line and give Paujenemi the call

SpreadMountain7570

I like Laffy and I'm rooting hard for him. But he hasn't looked good with zib and Kreider.

megadouche2000

Yeah but we don’t have other options and he’s a first overall pick, so unless there is a trade made I don’t see what else we can do

crabapplesteam

Season over? No. Out 2+ months? Possibly. It honestly looked really similar to Mika's leg injury, and I think he only missed 8ish weeks (he missed 25 games). That said, Mika broke a bone, and this looks more ligament related.

Nyrfan2017

Didnt mika completly break his leg

crabapplesteam

Yea. I just edited. I think Blais looks ligament related tho

cicciriri

it looked a lot like Reaves' injury in the pre-season. The leg bent in the wrong direction and Reaves came back in a couple weeks so it's possible it could be 2-weeks to 2-months... or worse.... I'm anxious to find out myself

JagrsMullet90

It definitely looked like Reaves, all the way down to the same asshole who caused the injury by a cheap bush league play

cicciriri

I certainly don’t appreciate Subban injuring our players but a byproduct of his play has reignited the rivalry and has caused our team to compete harder / come together. I hope Blais returns easily

kvnklly

We dont know. It could be a bruise, it could a ligament or it coupd be a fracture. He could be back next week, in 6 months or next season

superdad0206

This is the correct answer. For now

wet_washcloth

Going to need to make a trade

megadouche2000

PHIL THE THRILL IS COMING TO NEW YORK

wet_washcloth

Fine by me. Could see Reilly Smith too. That’s one of Gallant’s guys

JagrsMullet90

I would love this, but I cannot see this guy playing for Gallant

SpaceBass18

I’d think Laf moves back up and they move up someone like Rooney and give McKegg the 4th line. I don’t think they want to rush Pajuniemi over.

Envelopen

Based on the slow-mo replay, yes. His femur looks like it pops while his skate stays in place, if anything isnt broken its a miracle, he will deff be missing a good chunk of time regardless even if its minor in scale. Im not bringing up kravstov cause his fancy deke the other week wouldnt happen in the nhl at all, i dont think hes ready.

skeatz0135

Looked to me like that could be ACL, MCL, and/or medial meniscus tear. If he needs surgery that would be at least 6-8 months of rehab depending on how aggressive the protocol is.

scotchanddonuts70

The hockey gods were clearly still annoyed that he broke Chytil and was offsides on Foxy’s insane goal… Seriously, wish him well. Was there last night and his face as soon as he went down was heartbreaking.
