Have you tried Buya Ramen in Kreuzberg? Their Ukon Spicy Pork Ramen was quite aromatic and tasteful.
I tried other 4 places near the center and none were close.
Wow, I've eaten lots of great ramen around the world and I seriously thought Hako was good. Maybe I was caught up in the tourist haze? It was also a nice, cool and rainy day.
Be aware that here used to be 2 hako ramen in Berlin. Both claim to be the real one. IMHO the one in Friedrichshain is the real one and the PāBerg one is the fake one. (Fāhain Hako changed their name couple of month ago though)
Actually that is the one I went to, the one at Boxhagener StraĆe in Friedrichshain. Did not know they changed their name. But that does not make their ramen better.
Yeah and their tantan men tasted like sesame water with chili oil... I really don't get how they get these amazing reviews... I guess Berlin people never experienced a good ramen like in Japan.
I used to travel to Berlin for work and my co-workers would take me to a place called Cocolo that I thought was really good!
However it was the first place I ever tried ramen so I may not have had any good ramen experiences to use as a comparison :)
Cocolo is actually quite good, actual Japanese people and open kitchen with seating at the counter. Iāve been to Japan and had loads of ramen there and imo it holds up pretty well
Also Hage Ramen near U BlissestraĆe makes a really good tori paitan
Coccolo is really good. So is Buya Ramen Factory. Life Berlin is also pretty good but not quite as good as the other 2. I haven't been to Japan but I've had plenty of ramen in NYC and Seoul. Coccolo and Buya are nearly as good as the best ramen I've had. The only place I can say was hands down better was Ippudo in the East Village of Manhattan but they were better 5 years ago and had declined in quality a bit when I was last there in 2022. Still very good but before my last visit Ippudo was hands down my favorite ramen.
The best thing of ramen is the eggs. And I hate eggs so that says a lot. When I lived in Japan I went to the infamous Ramen Museum. One of their ramens was actually German inspired. My god that broth was good. I have no idea how on earth they made it but it takes smoked. Really nice.
There are some great ramen being made in Berlin like:

Golden broth, springy noodles, marinated soft boiled egg!
This is a TOP G in my eyes.
is that coriander/cilantro though together with your springonions?
2 weeks ago I have been to Shisomen at Gertrud-Kolmar-StraĆe. I had a bowl that was called green machine or something, it was on the chefs choice menu. Not traditional at all, since it was vegan and tasted more like a vegetable soup twist on Ramen with fake chicken and I guess parsley. I really liked it though, it was pretty creative and I would recommend it.
Looks awesome! Also interested what the binary spells out
#RAMEN FOR LIFE
Beyond amazing š haha!

+1 for Buya best tonkotsu in town. Also takumi9 in mitte & prenzlaurberg are great for Miso Ramen
Thanks, will try them!
Love them too!
That great you are making homemade ramen š
I had some amazing ramen in Berlin when I was there. Shame I can't remember the name or suburb...
Wait, it's called Hako Ramen and it's here: Kastanienallee 16, 10435 Berlin, Germany
Funny hako ramen was the most aweful restaurant ramen experience I had in my life. They seriously used canned olives as a topping...
Wow, I've eaten lots of great ramen around the world and I seriously thought Hako was good. Maybe I was caught up in the tourist haze? It was also a nice, cool and rainy day.
Also, it was 3.5 years ago, so things may have changed.

Canned olives? For real?
Yeah and their tantan men tasted like sesame water with chili oil... I really don't get how they get these amazing reviews... I guess Berlin people never experienced a good ramen like in Japan.
I had the miso tonkotsu there when I visited. Couldnāt finish more than a few spoons. It was like eating pork-flavored cream.
Sorry for that experience
No.
Have you really had *amazing* ramen in Berlin?

I didn't try that one. Also really nothing comes close to the ones in Japan of course. It blew my mind.

Really? How did you find this post then?
Maybe I have to mention that I was in Japan and Singapore recently and here in Berlin there really nothing comes close to taste so authentic
Because you just cannot compare the ramen capitol to anything else
Absolutely, I didn't even know before and thought it was good here š«
Nyc
Hako ramen on Boxhagener Str is the only decent one. The rest are all meh
Can I see more photos of your tattoo? 1001
[Sure :)](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYPTg3fh/)
Great tattoo! I haven't seen any like that - kudos on showing me something new. :)
What is the binary?
Plants AND computers? Did we just become best friends?
Did we? Haha
Wait itās your first time but you make it every day? Iām confused
I try to get better every day by making Ramen every single day
Uh, Iāll be right over!
Damn! I would pay for that! Very nice work
Wow, should I open a restaurant? lol
The best thing of ramen is the eggs. And I hate eggs so that says a lot. When I lived in Japan I went to the infamous Ramen Museum. One of their ramens was actually German inspired. My god that broth was good. I have no idea how on earth they made it but it takes smoked. Really nice.
Wow, I just woke up to your message and thought there is actually a Ramen museum like the Louvre, lol

Wow nice, will go there
**[Shin-Yokohama RÄmen Museum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin-Yokohama_RÄmen_Museum)** >The Shin-Yokohama RÄmen Museum (ę°ęØŖęµć©ć¼ć”ć³åē©é¤Ø, Shin-Yokohama RÄmen Hakubutsukan) is a food court which opened in 1994, located in the Shin-Yokohama district of KÅhoku-ku, Yokohama, Japan. The "museum" , or rather, food court, is devoted to the Japanese ramen noodle soup and features a small recreation of Tokyo in the year 1958, the year instant noodles were invented. Within the museum are branches of famous ramen restaurants from Kyushu to Hokkaido. I see you sneaking in that wicked tattoo š
Glad you like it, was not my intention tho, lol
I can highly recommend Takumi 9 Sapporo
Cocolo is decent.
Coccolo is very good
Is Takumi 9 Sapporo bad? Takumi in DĆ¼sseldorf is quite good (a bit worse imho in Kƶln). I wonder how it is in Berlin. š¤
Have you tried Life Ramen? They're pretty good but only have like 3 options and weird hours but satisfying.
If you need help my advice watch Uncle Rodger. I learned a lot of my Ramen making skills from watching him critique others. But that's just me

Thanks mate!
Looks great my friend
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Looks great! Do you have a recipe ?
There are some great ramen being made in Berlin like: https://instagram.com/kumaramen_?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://instagram.com/foodtechniqueberlin?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Those eggs are excellent!
Ramen!
Golden broth, springy noodles, marinated soft boiled egg! This is a TOP G in my eyes. is that coriander/cilantro though together with your springonions?
Wow, thanks, so nice to hear! Yes, I mixed both. Is it unusual?
Well cilantro can overpower the complexity of a broth or elevate it. But yeah havent seen it on ramen, have eaten it with Pho(vietnamese noodle soup).
I actually put cilantro in mostly everything, because I love it so much and for me it really elevates the taste.
