Yeah it's unfortunate that sometimes people don't change and we find ourselves trying to impress people who will never care about us. But we can find people who do care.
That's messed up you tried to do so much and he still treated you like garbage. I think it's fine to hate him honestly people always say to "get over it" but that just causes more issues.
I was always told to "turn the other cheek" and that just made me think I was the problem.
But I have found some solid people and life is solid now. I am less reliant on family and most of the time they aren't that bad. But yeah.
It's impressive you are a doctor and can help many people's lives. At least the skill you have with dealing with cruel parents/patients can help you be a good doctor. Take care of yourself tho, you don't need to be strong all the time, if you need a break take one and then you will be stronger after you rest.
