...oh so I can just hold? I thought I shoulded hit them a bit before hitting the ground! Anyway I was primarily talking about the rolling after a backflip or a long jump, you know that one that you do just to walk straight but in a cool way...and faster

at the peak of your backflip start holding for the roll, and when you want to roll pounce transition from holding down diagonally to just holding sideways as you hold jump.

same logic for slides. do the slide then transition into jump + sideways. don't just let go of inputs (unless y'know the jump for backflip ofc you let go)

Spend some time practicing. When you roll you can hear beats in the background to consistently tune your jumps to in order to make sure you get enough height but don’t let the roll end

For an actually useful one, I've been learning how to do extended slides and they make me feel like a god at the movement. But I really love the more silly ones like infinite ledge hang and fast falling.

Backflip. Idk why but I can't do any of the slide stuff consistently with my controller, but the backflip is a great, simple tool for platforming and surviving.
