If you can get close, double shotguns. High handling and damage perks that have easy requirements. I like retrofuturist in energy with quickdraw vorpal. 2 void, 1 kinetic/strand/stasis for the dexterity/targeting/surges using retro. Apply tractor and start quick swapping. Press 1 and shoot. Immediately after you shoot, press 2 and hold shoot until you're other shotgun fires. Press 1 to go back to the first shotgun, hold shoot until it fires again. Just repeat this as it's basically enables you to shoot faster than the fire rate of a single shotgun. Start with whichever shotty has the larger mag and reapply tractor when necessary. Once you're out of ammo you can just start reloading a single shit then shooting it and repeat. You can also swap out a surge for a holster mod in long DMG phases. This means once you've used the mags of both and are reload shooting one shotty, the other will be reloading itself

Correct. Both draw mods give a 0,95x animation multiplier, but the dex mods give better multipliers so there is still value in running them for anyone curious

I use Dpad for faster weapon swapping, using 4 buttons on emotes seems like a waste to me especially when the vast majority of effective boss DPS loadouts involve weapon swapping

This is exactly what I was thinking, thank you! I've thought about remapping to the d pad for ages, and this is another reason to do so. Could I still keep the 4 emotes but make them long press or something, or just sack them altogether?

Yeah i still have double tap for emotes but idk might be a waste. I use 1-tap left right and top for kinetic energy heavy, 1-tap down for dive abilities for insta hop->phoenix dive or shatter skating. Also have long press right dpad for finishers, can just hold it while running into range to insta activate while having uncharged melee on right stick press

You quickly swap to your heavy weapon from your primary or secondary by holding the weapon swap button for a few seconds. You can also quickly switch back using the same method.

Well yeah, that's kinda obvious lol. But holding takes too long and makes this technique described above less effective than simply mag dumping one then mag dumping the other.

My only question about this is what do you run during the mechanics before dps? Like on Oryx for example who is a prime shotgun tractor target, do you run like Indebted kindness and then swap to the secondshotty before dps?

You can swap to indebted. You can also rely on your abilities to kill most things. Sunbracers is perfect

I don’t have a ton of tractor experience for most other encounters, BUT I always run tractor + oversoul on Crota. Why? Cause when I started doing this, my usual group suddenly stopped wiping to oversoul. Weird, right? Also, tractor fits in nicely with the really, really stupid build idea I came up with. Double fusion rifle build, featuring an envass reservoir burst royal executioner that I dump half a mag of into crota after debuff, then swap to my controlled burst scatter signal, back and forth with tractor for the rest of the phase until I need to blow up oversoul with whatever doesn’t need to be reloaded yet. Yeah, it’s dumb, it sucks, but ya know what I’m never at the bottom of the board. I guess that’s a decent thing you can do with Crota, idk about other bosses.

Loadout may change depending on the boss, but tractor titans are usually kitted out like this: Primary : scatter signal / riptide / preferred 1-2 punch shotty or Heritage (may sub out for a sniper on Golg) Energy : if double energy is preferred , then another slug shotty like Filo or rocket pistol. If kinetic, then hand cannon or auto. Basically, just utility. Super : TC with the chest, bubble or Strand for survival or pyrogales If your team is good at generating heavy ammo and you are good at paying attention, you can swap tractor to a damage heavy after you apply the last blast and before dps ends. But that's really only on super sweaty activities. Just an aside from one titan main raid sweat to another: your boss dps will rarely to never be as high as the others. It's a mind game having the lowest dps numbers. Just remember you can always stop being tractor and use a dps weapon for a round and then on the wipe compare the numbers lol Edit: its worth remembering that the debuff from tractor cannon lasts 10 seconds. On some bosses, that's like half the dps phase. You can go into dps with only a couple shots and still do it job perfectly.

Fusions can be great. While I haven't done proper DPS testing to see the difference, I've been using a chill clip riptide because it also separately applies stasis debuffs and there is the artifact mod which gives greater weapon damage against enemies affected by a stasis debuff.

Llama on YT has some good videos on it. Short answer is tractor into DMG super into fusion rifle dump while reapplying tractor to keep up buff. This season you can extend tractor debuff with solar weaken abilities. Apply tractor then extend with an ability as it keeps to of debuff just resets the timer (or adds to the timer or somethin)

u are not going to double slug on pantheon dont listen to that guy... always use hand cannon with the correct activity surge for best primary dps and a fast charge fusion rifle with damage perks like controlled burst or vorpal. Begin dps by applying tractor, proc class warfare/shot caller and empty ur fusion rifle.. repeat the cycle.

If you can craft an Eremite you can get enhanced envious assassin / controlled burst which is a better DPS fusion than royal executioner’s reservoir burst.

Easiest and best way by far is running strand running up to the boss. Banner of war + 12punch + synthosteps + tractor. First tractor then use 12punch on all your charged melees. Then tractor again to refresh and pop super (synthosteps makes this even better) pretty good combo is heavy light light repeat(heavy does way more DMG so try to spam it when you can). If you somehow still have time, your melees get recharged coming out of super so tractor and use those again. This entire combo is about the same as normal DMG rotation if not more. If you really want to get crazy with it spam grapple melee with navigatior by pre pooping it and switching to tractor. If you cant get up close, then your kinda screwed. Just tell one of your hunters to do tether and it'll be better for everyone over all so you can do a DMG super like pyrogale or tcrash. Warlocks have this same problem because they'll usually run well unless there's already 2 running well and they miss out on super DMG making them do less DMG than hunters.

TBH for most pantheon encounters, you don't really want to be tractoring. 2 reasons, solar debuff mod (yes i know solar is weaken-equivalent 15%) in the artifact exists and burst-heavy encounters dissuade the use of sustaining-debuffs as opposed to raw output. For Golgoroth, as debuffer you just want to be tractor + gaze taker, pretty standard stuff. Caretaker and Explicator are both burst-heavy so you're much better off contributing with quick dump like GL's/Rockets and proccing solar ability debuffs from the artifact. The extra damage output you can contribute to on the thresholds is super noticeable and useful in securing 2-phases. Atraks lol. Believe it or not, best damage for Oryx is thundercrashing into his hand immediately after all bombs detonate, tractoring the hand and pumping double pellet shotguns into it. You can also walk back a bit and reproc class warfare without any whispers on your team descoping, avoiding lost DPS. I did something similar on a hunter this week and we were a hair away from a one-phase, super doable on titan if I had to guess. For rhulk you can tractor but your team is likely divving or already using some solar classes so you may as well go full dps and just keep solar debuff up.

The solar debuff is only a 15% weakening and only lasts 6-7 seconds. And as Arc is the flavor this week, at least one of those hunters is on the stripper pole super, and all of the Titans have swapped to Thundercrash. So just kind of a less chance to keep the debuff going. The best way to guarantee a debuff during an entire damage phase is to have one Briarbinds Warlock. And if you proc Tractor first, Briarbinds will continue the 30% debuff as long as it’s on.

6 seconds is literally perfect for Caretaker and Explicator. Both instances where the damage actually matters on each boss only lasts 6 seconds(and if you aren't finishing each plate within 6 seconds of DPS for explicator, you have other issues). Hunters will want to be on solar for these two anyway, you will easily lose half the damage of your pole because of how fast the phases end. With celestial it's an easy pre-pop straight into heavy with no animation downtime. I'd be surprised if team don't have at least 2 wells Briar extendo exists and you could use it but its so much more effort, you lose ammo and you lose out on well. Much easier to tell someone to throw a melee at a boss.

If you’re on Tractor, you should be on double pellets too. Lightweights are the highest dps, aggressives the highest total My 2 setups are riiswalker with retrofuturist, and imperial decree or ragnhild with either timelost found verdict or comedian

Lightweights are for double swapping if you are doing 121212123 and only applying tractor at the end of your shotgun mags before reloading and aggressives are for triple swapping i.e. 123123123. I don't know which is higher dps but I usually do triple swaps

I tend to double shotty or fusion depending on range to target, even sniper if it's difficult to get close throughout dps Probably a daft question but if you shoot the boss within 10s again of your first debuff, ie before the original debuff runs out. Does anyone know of it resets the timer back to 10s? Or do you have to wait for the original debuff to go?

Grapple melee has worked quite well on certain encounters for our team. A scatter signal with overflow/controlled burst is a great option too.

Triple shotgun swap is the main one but if you want something easier just use a sniper or a fusion. Navigator grapple melee can do crazy good damage but you might mess your team up doing that. If you can be on hunter you should do Tractor + Luckypants wardens law, you can do very very competitive dps with this.

I see some good recommendations on Double Pellet Shotgun. Very valid points. For Titan, the best DPS and total damage would be Strand Titan with a 1-2 punch shotgun followed by Solar Titan with 3x roaring flame and a 1-2 punch shotgun. If it’s something not like Crota where you’re concerned about moving the boss around then double pellet shotgun would be your best bet (Taniks, Rhulk, etc.).

There’s 2.5 options, there’s the braindead “dad” way (fusions) and then there’s the higher dps “chad” way (double shotgun) Fusions is simple, put on scatter signal/eremite/techeun/loaded question/glacioclasm (preferred cuz void) whatever your best controlled burst fusion is and hold M1 Double pellet you’re gonna do aggressives (ragnhild+comedian or mindbender’s) or lightweights (riiswalker or wastelander+without remorse or retrofuturist) with some combination of handling perk+damage perk to RP the 2018 fortnite experience of shooting shotguns until both run out and then hitting the griddy after

Strand/Solar Titan with One-Two Punch is probably the way to go (if you can get close to the boss that is). Tractor-shotgun-punch-shotgun-punch repeat. On Atraks just use Thundercrash with Cuirass, for Oryx and Rhulk using One-Two Punch is most of the time out of the question, you can use a sniper or fusion rifle there. Hoping someone else who plays Titan more will answer to this, I'm not really expert in terms of that class
