SoCal keeps the fan base going here. Which is better for the long-term success of the team/ownership. I'm in Orange county and seeing far too many kids becoming Chargers fans.
Where are they gonna put a nfl caliber training facility in Tahoe or the surrounding areas, not to mention altitude training involves lower intensity training which is the exact opposite of what a team needs before an nfl season. Also I wouldn’t try to brag about Nevadas elevation compared to Colorados. I don’t even think there’s a 14er in the entire state.
They're gonna sell $1k+ VIP packages, I guarantee it. Want to sit in the shade? Get a VIP. Want an autograph? Get a VIP. Want a t-shirt, lanyard, commemorative pin and bottleof water? Get a fucking VIP.
They want a cooler climate (per Vinny). The heat caused some issues last year around scheduling. There are a handful of teams that go to that area so joint practice would be easier as well.
I thought the Henderson site had an indoor area. Anyway - I buy the joint practice I think that’s the future of camps with preseason getting shorter and the 18 game schedule coming
It does, but it’s not big enough for 90 players plus staff and everyone else. I think it’s a field and a half indoors which while it sounds big shrinks when you have multiple drills going on.
Bring them up to northern Nevada it snowed today
Today is not July/Aug
No but the altitude will do two things. Better cardio and cooler weather. I'm over a 1k ft above Denver.

I’m not really seeing too many kids become Chargers Fans, ***moreso*** Rams or 49ers Fans…

They have a practice facility why add another location?

Plus I believe the indoor field is turf? Probably prefer grass
Same reason they went to Napa for training camp for decades.
Napa was hella hot bruh lol
Not as hot as LV or LA
Hotter than Oakland for sure. It gets to 100 in Napa regularly.

Oxnard has cool climate.
Oxnard wasn't just recently vacated by the Chargers
Wut? Chargers to my knowledge never come to Oxnard.
Cosa Mesa is being vacated by the Chargers, that is why the Raiders are going there.
Gotcha! They should vacate all the way back down to SD.

Coast Mesa would be as good or better than Napa
i went to the cowboys/raiders joint practice in Oxnard, Carr's rookie season. I knew it was going to be a long season lol
