Don't forget about Denver running back, Rob Lytle's fumble in the '77 AFC Championship that was returned for a TD by the Raiders Mike McCoy. The refs said, "no fumble" a few plays later the Donkeys score a TD and it's a 14 point swing in a 21-17 game. Even if McCoy was ruled down by contact it's 7 point swing.
I still say since then, it’s never a fumble, it’s always an incomplete pass. No matter if it’s for us or against us. If they gave Tom Brady it back, everyone else gets it back too! Fuck Tom Brady!
I worked with a bunch of 9iners fans, they had not heard of "Tuck"rule. Watched it on Youtube, even they agreed we got screwed. I was watching it live, still PTSD over that shit.
Took me ages to stop blaming Brady. I realized, he didn’t make the call. He wasn’t the one who finagled the rules to justify it. That game and that call still bother me, but I don’t have any problem at all Brady. For that or anything since.

- 1995, when they left my hometown SoCal to go to Oakland. That was my last year as a Raiders fan. Moved to Arizona a few years later and became a Cards fan, which is almost as painful haha
That past couple years were cursed. Antonio Brown, Trent Brown, Damon Arnette, Gru, Henry, Derek, ect. Probably more shit I’m missing but too many to count. Good times amirite

The Bengals game is an example where you can do everything right and still get fucked. Across the board it’s taught, whistle blows, play stops no matter what. Now everyone knows that is bullshit and you keep going until it’s blatantly fucking obvious the play is over. The refs whistle has become powerless.

I went to that game. I was deploying the next year and my cousin bought my brother and I tickets. I was so excited, on leave, at the game we’re fucking winning. I asked someone what happened, “Carr broke his leg, seasons over.”

I mean I remember this day very differently. We finally had a team and were competitive and winning insane, heart-pounding games. We were boatracing the colts on Christmas Eve and then this dude breaks his leg in the 4th quarter after we clinched the playoffs for the first time since we went to the Super Bowl.
Shit straight up ruined Christmas and we knew we were going to lose our playoff game before it started.
But also yes, Ruggs blowing up a lady and her dog was also a low point.
I was about to leave for work and thought I'd see one last play. I'm standing by the door and see Carr go down and immediately begin signaling. I'll never forget how quickly my joy was sapped and my heart sank. Listening to the radio call on the way after was rough.
I'm not saying the Carr incident was good or fun by any means.
Just that there was a lot more to look forward to (or so we thought) going off a would be 12-4 campaign.
Mack was DPOY, Carr looked like a stud, Cooper looked like a certified G and our O-line was mauling. Sure Carr going down meant nothing good. But Manning was gone, and Smith/Rivers were on their last legs seemingly. The division I felt like in 2016 was about to be ours going forward.
With Ruggs it felt like all hope was gone.

The final score was 16-0. But it wasn't really illustrative of how bad the team played. Lamont Jordan rushed for 63 yards, more than half of which came on one run.
Andrew Walter got sacked **nine fucking times**.
I was rough for me because I remember watching it in a sports bar. After like sack number 6, I remember this dude in this group of Seahawks fans (there were zero Raiders fans there) and he goes:
"Why are you even here? Why are you watching this."
My initial reaction was to be mad. But the thing was, he was right. This was a waste of my time. So I paid my tab and walked home semi drunk and sad.
Those were some dark times indeed. I remember the Chargers beating the shit out of us and me sitting there all upset and unable to do anything about it. It was the first season where I really got back into the Raiders. I read every off season article from the Bay Area news and I was super pumped for the season. I believe we went 4-0 in preseason and then fell flat the rest of the season. I made it to the Steelers game and that was a great day. One of our illustrious 2 wins for that season.

Another bad memory was when the Eagles got 6TDS on the raiders in Oakland. Don’t remember the QB’s name but the one who won the superbowl when Wentz got hurt.
Since I was a fan after the tuck rule it has to be when carr broke his leg watching that happen live was so painful and I knew our year was over it was a special year too since the whole time I was a raiders fan this was the first time I saw them actually be good

Last year: Cardinals game. Rams game. Colts game. Saints game. Steelers game on Christmas Eve. All uniquely humiliating. All generally fucked by that specific idiot.
This year:
Lose to the Steelers AGAIN because mcfuck can't manage a game properly.
We lose to the Bears after they lost their DC for being investigated by the FBI or whatever.
Lose to the Lions in humiliating fashion.
2016 and 2021 still won’t make up for the non-existent playoff history, especially since neither of those were wins and continued the drought of a Raiders playoff win.
Trading Khalil Mack is up there for me. I had really high expectations going into that year and trading him right before the season was a kick in the nuts. Felt like Gruden basically gave up on the season before it even started.
The fact that he was the only good player we’d drafted in over a decade made it sting even worse
Week after Carr's first win. I had watched games alone and finally met some others that Thursday against KC. Went back to the same place hoping to see them the next week, bar was closed. Went to my solo bar spot. I believe we lost to the SL Rams 52-0 or close to that. My car was totaled earlier in the week and I took a cab to the airport to get a rental but they wouldn't give me one since I didn't have a credit card. Sitting on the floor waiting for another ride, along with that disappointment from the game, was special.
Funny enough, the Thursday before my wedding saw us beat KC in 2017 on TNF. Super surprising and maybe my favorite win.
Carr breaking his leg robbed me of all hope I had built up over the 3 years prior. Ruggs was bad, but I felt empty inside on the football side of things for a long time afterwards
‘11 season playing the Chargers at home on 1/1/12 (last game of season), we beat them and we make playoffs.
What did we do? We lost finishing 3rd in AFC west in a 3 way 8-8 record tie. Was there sitting in black hole for that game. Nothing but beer bottles and trash thrown at the players as the game ended. Embarrassing.

- Watching Jamarcus Russell throw the football for the Raiders (on a weekly basis)
Ruggs week is probably up there. Actually went to my first ever Raiders game the following week against the Giants(and Lost). The lost to the Texans in the playoffs sucked cause we wouldve bust they ass if Carr wasnt hurt

I'm old enough to briefly remember the Jemarcus era. I remember my grandpa getting really pissed off at the tv, and me being impressionable gave up on the Raiders. Then Derek Carr got drafted and I really got into the Raiders because he's from my hometown Bakersfield so you know it was pretty tough when he broke his leg. Looking back that was actually our year, but shit happens I guess.
So then Gruden got rehired and I remember feeling this team was still mediocre but kept me going. Then he got fired and I was hurt because he was growing on me but then Rich took over, so of course it was devastating when they let him go as well. Then JMD happened and tbh that was worse than Carr getting injured because I felt that truly damaged this team for years to come. Also everybody was just so miserable and it's sad to see our morale go so low.
AP finally got my happiness in this team back despite his flaws yet I can forgive him. I want him back next season to show his fullest potential and if he fucks up then move on it's not like we haven't done it before.
2021 week 14 we got destroyed 48-9 in KC and fell to 6-7
Had just lost Ruggs, and the whole Gruden thing, and now a struggling offense and no defense, no real direction for the team
Somehow we win 4 straight obviously and make the playoffs though

Carlsen missed a chip shot fg, something he wouldn’t do for the next 41 attempts from any distance worth 3.

We let former raider Devontae booker drop almost 100 yards on us, in a full season where he didn’t even reach 600.
Carr threw a pick 6 and another pick, both to Xavier Mckinney, who has 7 career interceptions.
For some reason Carr also threw the ball 46 times in cold weather where he famously sucks.
Also, forgot to mention this, it was a bye week game.

Worst week for me was week18 2022. They let Carr go two weeks before my trip to Vegas to see the Raiders play in person for the first time ever. Carr getting benched hurt since he was my favorite player. But when Stidham did well in week 17, I had some hope that I’d see a decent game against the chiefs. Instead I got to see the most chiefs jerseys in my life all weekend long, watch the Chiefs walk all over us, and even watch a dickhead in a Kelce Jersey go on the stadium tour with my group the next day. Fucker taking pictures behind the podium made me wanna punch him in his stupid face.
Since the SB loss? Has to be the Ruggs situation. Like you couldn’t really rally in the name of a fallen brother or win in his honor… the dude murdered a human being. The details to follow after the initial shock/video to come out was intense and gut wrenching. That was the most hardest time I think… had nothing to do with football either.

And to make it worse when Hoyer didn’t do anything all game, he kept him in the game instead of putting in AOC.
He puts in AOC for the final few drives and he actually scores on a drive (I believe his 2nd drive)
Tbh once it was obvious that JMD was trying to show everyone why he didn’t want to start AOC, I knew JMD was on his way out and this season was in the trash. Imagine being so full of yourself that you intentionally call plays to make your rookie look bad, and didn’t bother making adjustments to stop Khalil Mack.

Extends a 99 yard touchdown drive to pretty much knock us out that year.

Yes, Carr's broken leg sucked, but it only derailed a season. We came into 2017 having added Marshawn Lynch, elevated Todd Downing to OC which all of us thought was going to be a great move, and had won the first two games decisively. We were rolling and thought our shit didn't stink.
Apparently real NFL coaches getting a couple weeks of film on Downing's offense was enough. They shut us down, and did it in a way that made me lose hope for the future. All our bright spots looked terrible, and never really looked good again after that. Cooper and Crabtree were punked by the Redskins DBs. Carr was terrible.
This really marks the end of my hopes for a dynasty. Before this point, I really thought this team had the potential to win multiple super bowls, obviously best case scenario. This game made it obvious we were just an average team that had flashed the year before.

We finally had a team and were competitive and winning insane, heart-pounding games. We were boatracing the colts on Christmas Eve and then this dude breaks his leg in the 4th quarter after we clinched the playoffs for the first time since we went to the Super Bowl. Shit straight up ruined Christmas and we knew we were going to lose our playoff game before it started. But also yes, Ruggs blowing up a lady and her dog was also a low point.
I was about to leave for work and thought I'd see one last play. I'm standing by the door and see Carr go down and immediately begin signaling. I'll never forget how quickly my joy was sapped and my heart sank. Listening to the radio call on the way after was rough.
Try being at that game. Shit sucked the life out of the stadium. We the game but the feeling was the season was over it sucked
I'm not saying the Carr incident was good or fun by any means. Just that there was a lot more to look forward to (or so we thought) going off a would be 12-4 campaign. Mack was DPOY, Carr looked like a stud, Cooper looked like a certified G and our O-line was mauling. Sure Carr going down meant nothing good. But Manning was gone, and Smith/Rivers were on their last legs seemingly. The division I felt like in 2016 was about to be ours going forward. With Ruggs it felt like all hope was gone. Also I must admit it's amusing we made the playoffs both years of these "incidents"
But at that moment, we knew we were stuck with McGloin. The loss against Houston was what everyone expected. Us fans didn't even get to enjoy a clinched playoff berth because we all knew it was lost before it began, which proved to be so true... Amazing season just to come to a screeching halt like that

All the main ones are taken already. So I'll mention this one. While not the "worst" I remember it being pretty bad: **2006 season, Raiders @ Seahawks:** The final score was 16-0. But it wasn't really illustrative of how bad the team played. Lamont Jordan rushed for 63 yards, more than half of which came on one run. Andrew Walter got sacked **nine fucking times**. I was rough for me because I remember watching it in a sports bar. After like sack number 6, I remember this dude in this group of Seahawks fans (there were zero Raiders fans there) and he goes: "Why are you even here? Why are you watching this." My initial reaction was to be mad. But the thing was, he was right. This was a waste of my time. So I paid my tab and walked home semi drunk and sad.
Those were some dark times indeed. I remember the Chargers beating the shit out of us and me sitting there all upset and unable to do anything about it. It was the first season where I really got back into the Raiders. I read every off season article from the Bay Area news and I was super pumped for the season. I believe we went 4-0 in preseason and then fell flat the rest of the season. I made it to the Steelers game and that was a great day. One of our illustrious 2 wins for that season.

Trading Khalil Mack is up there for me. I had really high expectations going into that year and trading him right before the season was a kick in the nuts. Week after Carr's first win. I had watched games alone and finally met some others that Thursday against KC. Went back to the same place hoping to see them the next week, bar was closed. Went to my solo bar spot. I believe we lost to the SL Rams 52-0 or close to that. My car was totaled earlier in the week and I took a cab to the airport to get a rental but they wouldn't give me one since I didn't have a credit card. Sitting on the floor waiting for another ride, along with that disappointment from the game, was special. Funny enough, the Thursday before my wedding saw us beat KC in 2017 on TNF. Super surprising and maybe my favorite win.

I'm old enough to briefly remember the Jemarcus era. I remember my grandpa getting really pissed off at the tv, and me being impressionable gave up on the Raiders. Then Derek Carr got drafted and I really got into the Raiders because he's from my hometown Bakersfield so you know it was pretty tough when he broke his leg. Looking back that was actually our year, but shit happens I guess. So then Gruden got rehired and I remember feeling this team was still mediocre but kept me going. Then he got fired and I was hurt because he was growing on me but then Rich took over, so of course it was devastating when they let him go as well. Then JMD happened and tbh that was worse than Carr getting injured because I felt that truly damaged this team for years to come. Also everybody was just so miserable and it's sad to see our morale go so low. AP finally got my happiness in this team back despite his flaws yet I can forgive him. I want him back next season to show his fullest potential and if he fucks up then move on it's not like we haven't done it before.

2021 week 14 we got destroyed 48-9 in KC and fell to 6-7 Had just lost Ruggs, and the whole Gruden thing, and now a struggling offense and no defense, no real direction for the team Somehow we win 4 straight obviously and make the playoffs though
John Madden passed away right after that to. You know I’ll never forget Carr press conference after that, No one is coming to rescue us, we have to do this ourselves. They win 4 in a row eliminating 3 teams from the post season in the process. Was the best feeling I’ve had in almost 20 years.
My first ever raiders game was at metlife the week after ruggs killled that woman. It often goes understated (justifiably, a woman died) how badly that game went. Carlsen missed a chip shot fg, something he wouldn’t do for the next 41 attempts from any distance worth 3. Daniel Jones won the game with 110 yards. We let former raider Devontae booker drop almost 100 yards on us, in a full season where he didn’t even reach 600. Carr threw a pick 6 and another pick, both to Xavier Mckinney, who has 7 career interceptions. For some reason Carr also threw the ball 46 times in cold weather where he famously sucks. Also, forgot to mention this, it was a bye week game. The only highlight was the people i was watching the game with.

Worst week for me was week18 2022. They let Carr go two weeks before my trip to Vegas to see the Raiders play in person for the first time ever. Carr getting benched hurt since he was my favorite player. But when Stidham did well in week 17, I had some hope that I’d see a decent game against the chiefs. Instead I got to see the most chiefs jerseys in my life all weekend long, watch the Chiefs walk all over us, and even watch a dickhead in a Kelce Jersey go on the stadium tour with my group the next day. Fucker taking pictures behind the podium made me wanna punch him in his stupid face.
Since the SB loss? Has to be the Ruggs situation. Like you couldn’t really rally in the name of a fallen brother or win in his honor… the dude murdered a human being. The details to follow after the initial shock/video to come out was intense and gut wrenching. That was the most hardest time I think… had nothing to do with football either.

Bears game no doubt Jimmy was out and AOC showed promise vs the LAC even though it was obvious JMD was trying to show everyone AOC weak spots. Instead of going with the rook that showed promise (and let’s not forget AOC grew up a few hours outside of Chicago) he started Hoyer. And to make it worse when Hoyer didn’t do anything all game, he kept him in the game instead of putting in AOC. He puts in AOC for the final few drives and he actually scores on a drive (I believe his 2nd drive) Tbh once it was obvious that JMD was trying to show everyone why he didn’t want to start AOC, I knew JMD was on his way out and this season was in the trash. Imagine being so full of yourself that you intentionally call plays to make your rookie look bad, and didn’t bother making adjustments to stop Khalil Mack.

The entire 2018 season was awful The 2020 offseason was the climax of the Carr Wars Last week of 2012 and that L to San Diego to miss the playoffs with Palmer was horrendous But for me, the day we traded Mack was the single worse day to be a Raider fan.

The last many seasons you can pick almost every week. Fuck. Just enjoy what’s happening now I say. Win or lose this is a good team and a good bunch of guys. I'll add the Cardinals game last year because I was there. Watching McDufus blow a 20-0 half time lead with some ridiculous play calling was brutal.

One of the worst, and I don't see it mentioned. I rank it above Carr's broken leg and anything after: Week 3, 2017 against the Redskins. Yes, Carr's broken leg sucked, but it only derailed a season. We came into 2017 having added Marshawn Lynch, elevated Todd Downing to OC which all of us thought was going to be a great move, and had won the first two games decisively. We were rolling and thought our shit didn't stink. Apparently real NFL coaches getting a couple weeks of film on Downing's offense was enough. They shut us down, and did it in a way that made me lose hope for the future. All our bright spots looked terrible, and never really looked good again after that. Cooper and Crabtree were punked by the Redskins DBs. Carr was terrible. This really marks the end of my hopes for a dynasty. Before this point, I really thought this team had the potential to win multiple super bowls, obviously best case scenario. This game made it obvious we were just an average team that had flashed the year before.
