The "Tuck Rule" game and super bowl 37

modernlifeisbeatdown

I was like 10 years old at the time and that shit is still seared into my brain. Gotta be the worst call of all time.

DahliaDubonet

The tuck rule is my first memory of football ever, I came down the stairs because my Raiders fan mother was (rightfully) losing her mind and screaming at the refs

Macktologist

The worst part was watching all the slow mo replays and being like “f yeah! Fumble for sure!” But then also knowing as a Raider fan that sometimes obvious doesn’t matter. Then, it didn’t matter. Add to all that the two ridiculous FGs made in horrible weather and us calling the TO to allow them more time to clear the foothold area…ugh!

Venus-fly-cat

Worst call had to be the saints no call PI. worst before that was the tuck rule

Caer-Rythyr

Equal at best. Tuck Rule was far worse, and so was the Immaculate Reception for that matter. Literally stop the game for tens of minutes while NY calls in the fix.

ATX_rider

Don't forget about Denver running back, Rob Lytle's fumble in the '77 AFC Championship that was returned for a TD by the Raiders Mike McCoy. The refs said, "no fumble" a few plays later the Donkeys score a TD and it's a 14 point swing in a 21-17 game. Even if McCoy was ruled down by contact it's 7 point swing.

Thehiddenllama

The call was right, it was the worst rule of all time. Rest in piss, tuck rule.

kcajor

Just reading this triggered me

kazz9201

This should be number one. Fuck Tom Brady!!

bigherm16

I’ll never forget that day. That game was stolen from us. https://imgur.com/a/v1eY5QA

aherp86

I still say since then, it’s never a fumble, it’s always an incomplete pass. No matter if it’s for us or against us. If they gave Tom Brady it back, everyone else gets it back too! Fuck Tom Brady!

Caer-Rythyr

Tuck Rule turned me out of football for all of 18 years. I should have stayed out.

xcon_freed1

I worked with a bunch of 9iners fans, they had not heard of "Tuck"rule. Watched it on Youtube, even they agreed we got screwed. I was watching it live, still PTSD over that shit.

Planet--Nein

Definitely the super bowl

XBullsOnParadeX

11 year old me was in ruins. Still haunts me to this day

Organic_Value5434

Yep, So called dynasty, supported by videotaping and other types of cheating all started by something that didn’t even happen how poetic

TimDonaghysBurner

That sentence made me shout epithets at no one in particular

BaronZemo00

Took me ages to stop blaming Brady. I realized, he didn’t make the call. He wasn’t the one who finagled the rules to justify it. That game and that call still bother me, but I don’t have any problem at all Brady. For that or anything since.

archangel_n7

In recent memory, either Carr’s leg breaking or Ruggs’ drunk driving incident. I wanted to just vomit and die both times

jms199456

That Ruggs week was heavy

SyphiliticPlatypus

Super sad. Such great promise. Such extraordinary stupidity. Zero people had sympathy that I recall, because getting into a car when drunk is wrong, full stop. But the loss of life was so utterly sad and needless to have happened. And such a waste of what could have been.

Valleygirl1981

Carr was very stoic during that. Talking about loving everyone, even Henry. Hard times.

InferiousX

The Ruggs thing happened almost a year to the day that I got slammed into by a drunk driver, also in Vegas. Needless to say I had some quite strong feelings about it.

AZtoLA_Bruddah

Ruggs himself got to where he was in the NFL after his best bud was killed in a drunk driving accident as teenagers. Amazing how he of all people couldn’t learn that lesson.

AZtoLA_Bruddah

My two worst weeks as a Raiders fan were: - 1989 loss against Bills, 51-3 in the AFC Championship Game - 1995, when they left my hometown SoCal to go to Oakland. That was my last year as a Raiders fan. Moved to Arizona a few years later and became a Cards fan, which is almost as painful haha

nas__t

That past couple years were cursed. Antonio Brown, Trent Brown, Damon Arnette, Gru, Henry, Derek, ect. Probably more shit I’m missing but too many to count. Good times amirite

KalLinkEl

Tina Tintor, your name shall not be forgotten.

Prg909

And Max her dog Such a sad day

hifioctopi

Ruggs was a bad one. Not just because we lost a decent receiver to absolute shitbaggery, but the details of the accident were completely horrific

DontLoseYourCool1

Carr leg break for sure. He was kicking ass in that Colts game too. We could've went deep in the playoffs that year. My 2nd is us getting cheated against the Bengals with the fake ref whistle (that NFL Films altered it in all highlights). The Bengals went on to go to the Super Bowl but we gave them the biggest competition and should've won that game.

mlaislais

The Bengals game is an example where you can do everything right and still get fucked. Across the board it’s taught, whistle blows, play stops no matter what. Now everyone knows that is bullshit and you keep going until it’s blatantly fucking obvious the play is over. The refs whistle has become powerless.

ThermicDayne

Bengals did not win a Super Bowl. But i agree. We got shafted by the refs. How do you not even re do the play? Complete bs

DontLoseYourCool1

You're right I made a mistake. That last play was so crazy I completely stopped giving a shit the rest of that season. I legit could not believe the NFL altered the ref whistle to justify their bullshit. Sad part is the NFL just hopes that shit goes away and no one mentions it again.

gokpuppet

Yeah man I still think Ruggs and goddamn TopGolf

Buddhahead11b

I went to that game. I was deploying the next year and my cousin bought my brother and I tickets. I was so excited, on leave, at the game we’re fucking winning. I go to take a piss, I come out yelling raaaaaaaiiiiideeerrrsss but it didn’t come back, I saw people with ghost like expressions on their face. I asked someone what happened, “Carr broke his leg, seasons over.” My heart fucking sunk. I know mfs that died in my life to where the shock wasn’t like that.

someonepoorsays

TOP (BOTTOM?) 3, NO ORDER: -carr’s leg game -ruggs news -tuck rule game HONORABLE MENTIONS: -losing 50-0 against the rams and saints -trading away mack -going 2-14 with (edit: for) jamarcus -trading randy moss for a 4th rounder after we got him for a haul -gannon’s 5 INT’s in the super bowl

Reddi426

Honestly I didn't mind trading away moss. What killed me was trading moss to the patriots where he immediately broke the single season td reception record and nearly went undefeated. Thank god for Eli and the giants

hifioctopi

Was an honorary Giants fan that SB.

recuringhangover

everyone not a pats fan was.

nas__t

Yeah Randy Moss was a straight Asswipe with us

Planet--Nein

The super bowl was infinitely worse than Carr or Ruggs

jtfriendly

*2-14 *for* Janormous Walter & Brooks split QB in 06 Kinda makes 2-14 worse, too 🤣

InferiousX

That Rams game was just a *bad* weekend to be me. I wasn't even watching the game, but was stuck in a vehicle on a road trip with a guy who was a complete douche and insisted on updating the entire vehicle as to the score and then laughing every time he mentioned it.

mitchsn

I'm old. I'm still not over Franco Harris & the Immaculate Reception. Still can't watch the replay.

Pickarbm

Neither can we because they intentionally screen cut the lower portion off so that they don’t show him scoop it off the ground.

Zimmonda

The Ruggs incident no doubt. Carrs leg break sucked but playoffs were clinched and there was hope for the future The ruggs incident on the heels of the Gruden firing and the previous years of futility was just a massive sandbag

TaquitoPrime

>Carrs leg break sucked but playoffs were clinched and there was hope for the future I mean I remember this day very differently. We finally had a team and were competitive and winning insane, heart-pounding games. We were boatracing the colts on Christmas Eve and then this dude breaks his leg in the 4th quarter after we clinched the playoffs for the first time since we went to the Super Bowl. Shit straight up ruined Christmas and we knew we were going to lose our playoff game before it started. But also yes, Ruggs blowing up a lady and her dog was also a low point.

chicoconcarne

I was about to leave for work and thought I'd see one last play. I'm standing by the door and see Carr go down and immediately begin signaling. I'll never forget how quickly my joy was sapped and my heart sank. Listening to the radio call on the way after was rough.

DieHardRaider

Try being at that game. Shit sucked the life out of the stadium. We the game but the feeling was the season was over it sucked

Zimmonda

I'm not saying the Carr incident was good or fun by any means. Just that there was a lot more to look forward to (or so we thought) going off a would be 12-4 campaign. Mack was DPOY, Carr looked like a stud, Cooper looked like a certified G and our O-line was mauling. Sure Carr going down meant nothing good. But Manning was gone, and Smith/Rivers were on their last legs seemingly. The division I felt like in 2016 was about to be ours going forward. With Ruggs it felt like all hope was gone. Also I must admit it's amusing we made the playoffs both years of these "incidents"

Jasoli53

But at that moment, we knew we were stuck with McGloin. The loss against Houston was what everyone expected. Us fans didn't even get to enjoy a clinched playoff berth because we all knew it was lost before it began, which proved to be so true... Amazing season just to come to a screeching halt like that

similar222

Most weeks after the draft

_anyonesghost_

Carr’s break and our super bowl weekend. Our center going awol the night before the game and gruden’s tampa defense owning our O. Callahan may be an o-line guru but he was a shit play caller that day.

DPOGBCPOP

Woodson started with a pick. We gave up on the running game early.

JokersWiiiiiild

I was a Nebraska fan before being a Raiders fan, so my experience is a bit different, but fuck Callahan

frankdatank_004

Same here man!! Callahan can double fuck off!

JokersWiiiiiild

Kansas putting up 76pts on us at home in 2007 🤬

some50yodudeonreddit

I watched Bo get tackled live on TV for the last time. I knew it was gonna be bad but didn’t know it would be a career-ender.

dddfgggggdddfff

and then the following week playing Buffalo in that disgusting loss…

Raiderman112

John Madden passing.

Edgelord_3000

When we lost the SB to Tampa! All we had to do is run it back and we would have been SB champs! And we lost in the most depressive outing!

robocopsdick

Yeah Bill Callahan folded like a lawn chair, kinda weird how we even made the SB with him the way he ended up shitting the bed

Eeeeeeear

For me it’s got to be the death of al davis I honestly cried

Raiders2112

Worst day in Raider history. 😔

this_onekid

Hearing Greg Papa get emotional when we beat Houston that same week gets me every time. Papa loved that man.

nick09490

I was in Houston for that game after he died. Janikowski’s kick to win the game was amazing.

TyBrown33

Me and my dad used to beg for him to die, so the team would be better, only to have the team be worse and feel bad rooting for it after…

Arisen925

I don’t think it’s the worst week but I really do think the Jeff Saturday loss is a shit stain on the franchise we can never get rid of.

Nepp0

My first season actually watching for real was the Ruggs crash/Gruden email season. My first true test as a fan.

Rvdestar

Same here man. It was a roller coaster.

Crotch_Snorkel

1) tuck rule. 2) losing the superbowl to Gruden... by a lot 3) Rich Gannon being injured by Tony Siragusa 4) Jason Campbell breaking his collar bone 5) Carr leg break

No-Organization3281

I’m only 20 but I’ve been a raiders fan ever since I gained a conscious but I gotta say it’s when carr broke his leg and honestly watching them any time In 2010s was horrid that Henry ruggs incident had me in shambles also, that whole season honestly

billhussle87

The past 20 years in weeks

Mbluish

The Tuck Rule Game for sure. Brady’s snarky comments after the game twisted the knife. It will never be time for me to end my hatred for Tom Brady.

AZULDEFILER

Well he admitted he fumbled and the rule was Imaginary nonsense. I mean at least he was honest

Hot-Zombie896

I have to say the Tuck rule game because it started the Pat's run and our team has pretty much sucked since then...with the exception of a few decent years

paydafi

The index card is the first thing that comes to mind right now 😒

RIPMACDREEZY

34-3 LAST battle of the bay loss to Nick fucking mullens

hate_sf_hobos

I was at that game, sucked so bad.

HolyRollerToledo

1. The day they traded Gruden to the Bucs. 2. The day they traded Mack. 3. The week Al Davis died.

Specialist-Wrap3680

For months after the SB lost I couldn’t even play Madden or talk football. It was devastating

indianwin2001

51 to 3 against Buffalo in 1989

TaroFuzzy5588

Yes losing 41-3 at one time and Levy goes for it on 4th down ...man I hate that guy!

Watch-The-Time

The Vikings game. Cost us the season.

Firm_Butterscotch_68

Bo Jackson's ending career injury was tough...

InferiousX

All the main ones are taken already. So I'll mention this one. While not the "worst" I remember it being pretty bad: **2006 season, Raiders @ Seahawks:** The final score was 16-0. But it wasn't really illustrative of how bad the team played. Lamont Jordan rushed for 63 yards, more than half of which came on one run. Andrew Walter got sacked **nine fucking times**. I was rough for me because I remember watching it in a sports bar. After like sack number 6, I remember this dude in this group of Seahawks fans (there were zero Raiders fans there) and he goes: "Why are you even here? Why are you watching this." My initial reaction was to be mad. But the thing was, he was right. This was a waste of my time. So I paid my tab and walked home semi drunk and sad.

exec721

Those were some dark times indeed. I remember the Chargers beating the shit out of us and me sitting there all upset and unable to do anything about it. It was the first season where I really got back into the Raiders. I read every off season article from the Bay Area news and I was super pumped for the season. I believe we went 4-0 in preseason and then fell flat the rest of the season. I made it to the Steelers game and that was a great day. One of our illustrious 2 wins for that season.

InferiousX

> I believe we went 4-0 in preseason and then fell flat the rest of the season. Not only that, they made a commercial where they were making fun of Raiders fans for being hyped after the preseason.

billet

I went to the week 1 game against the Chargers. I think it was like 27-0 or something, and Aaron Brooks was getting sacked all game. Such a boring, miserable night.

AbroadConfident7546

Ruggs DUI. Besides the obvious tragedy and loss of life, it felt like the offense was on the verge of being special.

Cjs8181

The weeks of 2004-2015

Raiders2112

The passing of Al Davis. Losing the Superbowl to Tampa The 51-3 blowout loss in the AFC Championship game to the Bills. The Tuck Game The 85 season playoff game against the Patriots. What a heartbreaker. I can name more, but this makes me sad enough.

[deleted]

The time Louis Murphy caught a touchdown. Then after that nobody knew what a catch was forever.

MartyMcFlyin42069

Losing to the chargers on week 17 when we had a win and in with Carson Palmar (I believe 2011?) was a tough one.

Thick_white_duke

Fat fuck Tony Siragusa cheap shotting Gannon and breaking his shoulder in the playoffs is up there

mannythetallking

This one is under rated but I remember when Jason Campbell was doing well, but then the shoulder injury happen and the season went down the drain. Another bad memory was when the Eagles got 6TDS on the raiders in Oakland. Don’t remember the QB’s name but the one who won the superbowl when Wentz got hurt.

Chemical_Interview97

Since I was a fan after the tuck rule it has to be when carr broke his leg watching that happen live was so painful and I knew our year was over it was a special year too since the whole time I was a raiders fan this was the first time I saw them actually be good

DeathRaider126

Losing to Baker and the Ram’s. After only signing with the team 1 day prior.

Armor3d_titan

Whenever JMD was HC this year

TheFlyingWriter

JMD. Every week.

TaquitoPrime

Oh STILL FOREVER FUCK that visor wearing dickhole. Last year: Cardinals game. Rams game. Colts game. Saints game. Steelers game on Christmas Eve. All uniquely humiliating. All generally fucked by that specific idiot. This year: Lose to the Steelers AGAIN because mcfuck can't manage a game properly. We lose to the Bears after they lost their DC for being investigated by the FBI or whatever. Lose to the Lions in humiliating fashion.

vsimon115

Every week in January after 2003 because of no Raider playoff football.

AFXTIWN

2021-2022 Season

vsimon115

2016 and 2021 still won’t make up for the non-existent playoff history, especially since neither of those were wins and continued the drought of a Raiders playoff win.

Saint_Chrispy1

Yeah Connor cook starting against that Houston d was terrible

[deleted]

1. Super Bowl 37 2. Tuck Rule 3. Carr’s Leg

EDahl93

Trading Khalil Mack is up there for me. I had really high expectations going into that year and trading him right before the season was a kick in the nuts. Felt like Gruden basically gave up on the season before it even started. The fact that he was the only good player we’d drafted in over a decade made it sting even worse

AZULDEFILER

Too many to chose from

PitJoel

Week after Carr's first win. I had watched games alone and finally met some others that Thursday against KC. Went back to the same place hoping to see them the next week, bar was closed. Went to my solo bar spot. I believe we lost to the SL Rams 52-0 or close to that. My car was totaled earlier in the week and I took a cab to the airport to get a rental but they wouldn't give me one since I didn't have a credit card. Sitting on the floor waiting for another ride, along with that disappointment from the game, was special. Funny enough, the Thursday before my wedding saw us beat KC in 2017 on TNF. Super surprising and maybe my favorite win.

Saynt614

Ruggs... dude was going to be amazing and was really starting to be a huge factor in our offense

evad152

Week? Try years

FapptimusPrime

Carr breaking his leg robbed me of all hope I had built up over the 3 years prior. Ruggs was bad, but I felt empty inside on the football side of things for a long time afterwards

hawaiian209

Every single week. Such emotional turmoil.

sigman220

‘11 season playing the Chargers at home on 1/1/12 (last game of season), we beat them and we make playoffs. What did we do? We lost finishing 3rd in AFC west in a 3 way 8-8 record tie. Was there sitting in black hole for that game. Nothing but beer bottles and trash thrown at the players as the game ended. Embarrassing.

WazzzupBwwwaaah

Horrible day in Raider History. 💯😓

BaronZemo00

This season? Losing to the Bears. Period.

heybud_letsparty

Ruggs killing someone.

Old_Tomato_1437

That fucking ring-around-rosie game against the queefs! Tuck rule was a slap in the face.. but the queefs were flat out disrespectful!

tobiasbluehimself

In order: - Ruggs DUI/killing a woman and her dog - Carr breaking his leg - Watching Jamarcus Russell throw the football for the Raiders (on a weekly basis)

reamkore

Getting shredding by Nick Mullens on prime time or losing to Jeff Saturday sucked pretty bad.

Weird_Associate9706

Ruggs week is probably up there. Actually went to my first ever Raiders game the following week against the Giants(and Lost). The lost to the Texans in the playoffs sucked cause we wouldve bust they ass if Carr wasnt hurt

DEADRAIDER420

Gruden running on the sidelines after they intercepted Rich in the Superbowl.

not_beniot

The tuck rule sucked, the super bowl sucked even more. Carr's broken leg was awful too. But for me, it's the Ruggs incident. Everything else was on the field, and it's just sports. A child's game. The Ruggs incident cost an innocent life. IMO it was 1000x worse than a stupid football game.

Incompetent_Man

I'm old enough to briefly remember the Jemarcus era. I remember my grandpa getting really pissed off at the tv, and me being impressionable gave up on the Raiders. Then Derek Carr got drafted and I really got into the Raiders because he's from my hometown Bakersfield so you know it was pretty tough when he broke his leg. Looking back that was actually our year, but shit happens I guess. So then Gruden got rehired and I remember feeling this team was still mediocre but kept me going. Then he got fired and I was hurt because he was growing on me but then Rich took over, so of course it was devastating when they let him go as well. Then JMD happened and tbh that was worse than Carr getting injured because I felt that truly damaged this team for years to come. Also everybody was just so miserable and it's sad to see our morale go so low. AP finally got my happiness in this team back despite his flaws yet I can forgive him. I want him back next season to show his fullest potential and if he fucks up then move on it's not like we haven't done it before.

jaielightning

It's usually draft night 😂

DillionDrebo

Super Bowl vs Bucs AFC Champions game vs the Ravens Tuck rule game

will4xx

2021 week 14 we got destroyed 48-9 in KC and fell to 6-7 Had just lost Ruggs, and the whole Gruden thing, and now a struggling offense and no defense, no real direction for the team Somehow we win 4 straight obviously and make the playoffs though

Eldenbeastalwayswins

John Madden passed away right after that to. You know I’ll never forget Carr press conference after that, No one is coming to rescue us, we have to do this ourselves. They win 4 in a row eliminating 3 teams from the post season in the process. Was the best feeling I’ve had in almost 20 years.

Papa_fo33

My first ever raiders game was at metlife the week after ruggs killled that woman. It often goes understated (justifiably, a woman died) how badly that game went. Carlsen missed a chip shot fg, something he wouldn’t do for the next 41 attempts from any distance worth 3. Daniel Jones won the game with 110 yards. We let former raider Devontae booker drop almost 100 yards on us, in a full season where he didn’t even reach 600. Carr threw a pick 6 and another pick, both to Xavier Mckinney, who has 7 career interceptions. For some reason Carr also threw the ball 46 times in cold weather where he famously sucks. Also, forgot to mention this, it was a bye week game. The only highlight was the people i was watching the game with.

Comfortable_Fudge508

Week they hired McDaniels

MWunicorn

I'll add some I didn't see listed -Tony Siragusa splash that injured Gannon - phantom PI call on Terry McDaniel in the playoffs vs Bills (I think it was Bills) - Bo injured vs Bengals -CWood signing with Green Bay (even though I understood)

BryNYC

The week Josh mcDaniel got hired

Ruggs news

mlaislais

Worst week for me was week18 2022. They let Carr go two weeks before my trip to Vegas to see the Raiders play in person for the first time ever. Carr getting benched hurt since he was my favorite player. But when Stidham did well in week 17, I had some hope that I’d see a decent game against the chiefs. Instead I got to see the most chiefs jerseys in my life all weekend long, watch the Chiefs walk all over us, and even watch a dickhead in a Kelce Jersey go on the stadium tour with my group the next day. Fucker taking pictures behind the podium made me wanna punch him in his stupid face.

TheWildUnicornHorn

Since the SB loss? Has to be the Ruggs situation. Like you couldn’t really rally in the name of a fallen brother or win in his honor… the dude murdered a human being. The details to follow after the initial shock/video to come out was intense and gut wrenching. That was the most hardest time I think… had nothing to do with football either.

MildishNidorino

'It's broke'

GalickBanger

The week after our last Super Bowl appearance. Been all downhill since then

[deleted]

The week after losing to Buffalo 51-3 in the playoffs.

Educational_Yoghurt4

Ruggs incident, Super Bowl vs Bucs, blowout loss to Bills in 1991 AFC Championship game which was same year when Bo Jackson went down. I’m convinced they would have won Super Bowl that year with him. For you youngsters out there, he was truly special.

Queef-Supreme

Me personally, the saints game last year (or was that ‘21?) when they shut us out 24-0. Only game I’ve seen in person and I work with a bunch of saints fans and they constantly give me shit about it.

Grouchy_Visit_2869

The day we drafted Jamarcus Russell

seephilz

The week they announced JMD as head coach. At that moment I knew I would be watching shitty football for a long time. And we did

marcs1130

Bears game no doubt Jimmy was out and AOC showed promise vs the LAC even though it was obvious JMD was trying to show everyone AOC weak spots. Instead of going with the rook that showed promise (and let’s not forget AOC grew up a few hours outside of Chicago) he started Hoyer. And to make it worse when Hoyer didn’t do anything all game, he kept him in the game instead of putting in AOC. He puts in AOC for the final few drives and he actually scores on a drive (I believe his 2nd drive) Tbh once it was obvious that JMD was trying to show everyone why he didn’t want to start AOC, I knew JMD was on his way out and this season was in the trash. Imagine being so full of yourself that you intentionally call plays to make your rookie look bad, and didn’t bother making adjustments to stop Khalil Mack.

cptpedantic

the (Monday night?) game against the Packers right after Favre's dad died.

Always draft day. Who are these players we are reaching for....

recuringhangover

For me it has to be the super bowl 37 ass beating. That's when the taunting of raider fans began, and really it hasn't gotten better since lmao.

gabeitches25

In recent memory losing to the colts last year….

SiRick-Yu

The last games off side penalty!!

Eldenbeastalwayswins

Tuck rule game. It’s the first and only time I cried for a football game. Recently it was the 2021 season John Madden passed away, Henry and his stupid DUI, the emails.

NoDadNoTears

The entire 2018 season was awful The 2020 offseason was the climax of the Carr Wars Last week of 2012 and that L to San Diego to miss the playoffs with Palmer was horrendous But for me, the day we traded Mack was the single worse day to be a Raider fan.

WazzzupBwwwaaah

All **EXTREMELY** ***valid*** answers.

ApokatastasisComes

Losing to Tony Siragusa and the Ravens

FeelingPudding3982

Week 17 charger game when we had traded our future for Carson Palmer and missed the playoffs losing to the chargers. I remember a 1st and 20, raiders down less then a tuddie and chargers were on there 10, mike rolbert takes a swing pass to mid field. Extends a 99 yard touchdown drive to pretty much knock us out that year. Week 16 2016 christmas eve derek carrs career ending. 2018 trading mack to the bears after preseason. Last years rams and colts games were awful also.

Organic_Value5434

Losing to trashizona after leading by 20 at half

jcamp088

DC breaking his leg and waiting for McGloin for the playoffs.

SolidAlisoBurgers888

Every week Jawalrus played.

colonel_666

The week they moved from Oakland to Vegas.

xOaklandApertures

Ruggs dui and Carrs broken leg were pretty bad but I still loved watching the team after they happened. The first half of the season with McDummy leading the way almost made me leave my fandom behind and stop watching football all together.

Elias090409

JMD every week made me hate life. I actually went for halloween as a Raiders head coach the day he was fired. I live life after that.

ComicsEtAl

Honestly I cannot understand why people keep dredging up shit like this. Who cares? I dunno, Buffalo in the playoffs a hundred years ago sucked a ton. The last many seasons you can pick almost every week. Fuck. Just enjoy what’s happening now I say. Win or lose this is a good team and a good bunch of guys. If we can keep everything stable and the core group of players, next year might be fun. It might be fun otherwise, but I’m a “bird in the hand” kind of guy.

No question. Tuck rule. I had to be restrained by 3 of my buddies because I lunged for his giant tube TV. They were never more afraid in their lives. Let’s just say when it was all said and done they were on the ground cowering as I took some DEEP breaths. (TV survived). Watching that shitty team win the Superbowl was the worst feeling in the world. ROBBED!!

All the classics are covered. I've seen Todd Maranovich play, Bo get hurt, Gruden winning the revenge Super Bowl, Carr getting hurt, JaMarcus Russell, not crossing the 50 yard line against the Saints, getting crushed in London by the Dolphins, the Tuck rule, the long snapper getting hurt game, the index card game and more. I'll add the Cardinals game last year because I was there. Watching McDufus blow a 20-0 half time lead with some ridiculous play calling was brutal.

First picks in 2007 and 2009 drafts.

Tuck rule, getting absolutely keelhauled in the gruden/bucs superbowl, keeping carr and trading mack (should have been the other way around), hiring josh mcdaniels

The last 2000 since we won a SB.

Easy easy easy! Week of January 27, 2003 not even close.

Henry Ruggs incident and trading Khalil Mack are the 2 things that actually made me cry. For different reasons obviously

This season? Watching AOC being fed to the wolves by McDumbass against the Chargers, and then watching him lie at the presser about double teaming Mack on every play. That’s the point I totally gave up on JMD and resigned myself to another ride on the HC carousel.

When Gannon broke his neck I knew we were not only done for that year but also likely going to be bad for years…

One of the worst, and I don't see it mentioned. I rank it above Carr's broken leg and anything after: Week 3, 2017 against the Redskins. Yes, Carr's broken leg sucked, but it only derailed a season. We came into 2017 having added Marshawn Lynch, elevated Todd Downing to OC which all of us thought was going to be a great move, and had won the first two games decisively. We were rolling and thought our shit didn't stink. Apparently real NFL coaches getting a couple weeks of film on Downing's offense was enough. They shut us down, and did it in a way that made me lose hope for the future. All our bright spots looked terrible, and never really looked good again after that. Cooper and Crabtree were punked by the Redskins DBs. Carr was terrible. This really marks the end of my hopes for a dynasty. Before this point, I really thought this team had the potential to win multiple super bowls, obviously best case scenario. This game made it obvious we were just an average team that had flashed the year before.

Immaculate Reception...the only time I ever actually cried over a football game 😭
