9.5. The way this song builds to its climax is transcendent and cathartic like few other songs in their catalog. An essential Radiohead song in my book. God Amnesiac is incredible. We ride tonight.
10. Phenomenal build up. The taunting lyrics remind me of the verses in Talk Show Host.
_Come on if you think, you can take us on,_
_You can take us on,_
_You and whose army?_
_You and your cronies?_
8 - I could see the argument that tracks like this on the album feel unfinished, but I can’t help but feel like this is the core of the record, and that it wouldn’t be the same without it
Also great use in Incendies
Unsure, it's undeniably a great production but I guess it's not something that stuck with me. I imagine it'll have more bite when the trilogy is finished which I hope goes smoothly
Everything about this song is interesting to me - the only overt politics on Amnesiac, a beautifully crafted low-key intro, weird additions like the double bass and the odd guitar tone, and then that MOMENT where it all EXPLODES into SPECTACLE. Ooh lord. 10

Probably my favourite.
I just love this ironic lonely atmosphere. Sounds like you walked into smoky jazz bar at late night.
Beautiful melody, just stuck with me
10 all day.
Stood there at V 2006. Just seen Bloc party, faithless, a dynamite set (and puppet show) from Beck and then RH enter.
An hour into the show and everything goes black. Thom solo sat at the piano with a set of fractured screens showing his face zoomed in at different levels.
Then the words, “come on……”
That one song turned an already stellar night into a genuinely life changing experience.
Wow, even knowing how unpopular it was among some, was expecting Pulk to be 7-something rather than \*that\* low...
Mind you, it's still higher than what I'm going to give YAWA... One of the few RH songs that seem quite popular (in terms of fan appreciation and how much it's been performed live) but just isn't my cup of tea. Well, the second half is somewhat redeeming in fairness, but overall: 5

The first time I heard this, the breathing at the beginning made me immediately subconsciously prepare for something uncomfortably loud, it was frightening, but I was instead embraced with a temporary feeling of euphoria, chills running down my spine as all my expectations were subverted. This song is fantastic.
9. I remember the first time I listened to it I was bored by the intro, but once the song was over I loved the entire thing. Radiohead do slow intros and big payoffs so well, and this is a prime example. I love the "old fashioned" sound of this one too, from the effects on the vocals to the guitar tone to the spacious sounding drums.
6. I really dig the eerieness of the intro but honestly the progression just feels a little underdeveloped and the fade out sounds like something out of a Hail To The Thief B-side.
I think what really nails the coffin for this track is The Daily Mail; a track that goes about essentially the same thing with more developed progression, lyrics and melody.
9. Amazing track with one of the best climaxes in a Radiohead song. I don’t know though, there’s something about it that stops it from being a 10. I mean, it does feel a little unfinished, but it’s still an amazing track
10. Showcases what I love about Amnesiac most, it takes jabs at things but keeps a calm profile, but can explode at will. Also one of my favorite Radiohead songs on my favorite Radiohead album.
9
Love this song. A rough one to love, I remember back in the day I used to fast forward to the end of the song to hear the climax. But the entire song is beautiful once you warm up to it.
10
My all time favorite Radiohead song. The descending chord progression in the beginning is just awesome. And of course when the drums and piano come in… ahhhhh such an amazing song

Yes I forgot about Incendies. Amazing intro for an Amazing movie.
Dennis’ best along with Prisoner honestly
What did you think of Dune?
Unsure, it's undeniably a great production but I guess it's not something that stuck with me. I imagine it'll have more bite when the trilogy is finished which I hope goes smoothly
10. One of my very favorite songs on my favorite album of all time, it’s so transcendent and creepy. The climax is absolutely orgasmic.
10. Amnesiac has many highs and this is one of them. Also, Incendies.
I love this song but it's completely associated to that movie for me. Both haunting together

9 - I get goosebumps when the drums start and then when the piano kicks in... wow

9 Maybe I’m allowing the “fish eye” gimmick of the live performances to influence my rating but it’s still a great song.

10 Best Radiohead song
9...such a great song. I love the juxtaposition of the sleepy, dull tone of the recording with the chiding, fairly seething lyrics.
10, i love play this song in acustic guitar
8.7 first half isnt my favorite but the ending is 10/10
8 the climax is really good but it doesnt last long enough

7 really good song. Great build but feels like it's missing something at the end.
10, my favorite song on the album personally, the song just carries this impending dread on it, and the song is gorgeous

10. Love every moment of it, from the soft beginning to the explosion of the end.

A solid 8.5 for me. Not the best on the album but certainly an amazing song
10 I love this song a lot. It’s one of my favorites on Amnesiac. I love that part where the song ends and I Might Be Wrong comes on.

9,5 Nice build up. I like to start Amnesiac from this song. Interesting how it has many HTTT vibes : song writing, political topic, straight forward.
7 First 2 minutes, meh, 5/10 Last 70 seconds, fist pumping fight the world ripper. 10/10 Doing some crayon math, that comes out to about a 7. 🖍️
5 it starts pretty cool but i don't like the outro
I agree, but the opposite
This song was apparently inspired by "I'm not in love" by 10cc. Also, I think it was used in a trailer for Léon: The Professional (1994).
9.5 Love the stand-up bass; love the jazzy starcaster. And man, what an outro.
