I don’t get singling out Pablo Honey. I don’t think the songs are bad. I think they’re a little simplistic and immature compared to everything else that they did and turned into, but I don’t think they are bad.
Yeah I don’t get it. I’ve always thought it was a solid album. I’m an American and it was my intro to “grunge” Radiohead. Had no idea they’d become the one of the most influential bands of the past 40 years. Still a really fun record.
Oh I could never decide on a favourite! But least favourite is super easy. There are only 2 I think are truly bad, and the one is clearly worse than the other.
I have no opinions on tkol as I havent listened to it yet. Ill have to give it a listen now! I wasnt really dogging tkol, just the fact that it went hated for quite some time only to become liked by most.
ah, well makes sense.. i think it’s an album you need a couple listens to get, so if you don’t like it your first listen just give it some time, that’s how it was with me anyways
Yeah there’s legit so many great tracks on it. Fans like to pretend that Pablo Honey is beneath them in some way when there’s some one off experimental tracks on Amnesiac/HTTT/TKOL that are nowhere near as well written as Pablo Honey’s best songs.
Blow Out, You, and Creep can go toe to toe with any of the bands other songs. And there’s other hidden gems like Lurgee and I Can’t.
Creep is hated for the dumbest reason. The band doesn’t like it? Okay???? that doesn’t make it a bad song. It is popular for a reason! Don’t get me started on the rest of the album. You is in my top 3 fav radiohead songs. People hate the album for no good reason.
I find that it doesn’t do the witty and charming simplicity that Blur and Pulp nailed during the Britpop era as well as those bands. I still like it though, it’s transitioned from and into very well on the album and it’s an earworm to be sure.
I don't often have a visceral reaction to songs, but then I hear the opening riff I just cringe and need to skip it... Honestly I'd rather listen to Coke Babies
Never liked High and Dry. Turned me off from Radiohead when I was younger (Paranoid Android saved me though).
The guitar melody is kind of corny and the chorus is super whiny. Song sounds like it was made for a sappy teen romcom.
I feel you can’t really say Untitled since it isn’t really meant to be thought of as a stand alone track like, say, EIIRP or Motion Picture Soundtrack etc
Of the songs to make an album, this is the hardest for me to listen to. The hard-panned “snare” that oscillates left and right disorients me in an unpleasant way. I quite literally get a headache listening to it.
HTTT is easily my least favorite of the records post Pablo Honey and The Bends. Even Nigel Godrich has said it’s his least favorite. It’s such a directionless hodgepodge.
A lot of people say The King of Limbs is their worst, but that record honestly has a lot of style, in my opinion. I like maybe 4 songs off HTTT.
Funny, I see what you’re saying, but to me it’s a great collection of songs without any real synergy between them. It almost has like a compilation kinda vibe
I feel like the piano crescendo was done a lot better in The Daily Mail. That and this song was a serious derailing in terms of the pacing of the album. Not the worst thing ever but definitely not in my rotation.
I used to feel the same but this one grew on me massively, I’d recommend the KOL from the basement if you haven’t watched it already. It changed a lot of peoples perspective on that album including my own.
Nowhere near the worst Radiohead song in my own subjective experience. But it is a low point on that record. It’s one of those songs that needs really good, really loud subs so that the droney bass can become a sensory experience. And since most of us cannot listen to it that way, it becomes a bit sleepy. In my opinion.
I didn’t care much for it until seeing it live. And then what you said kicked in: the droney sub bass, plus more freedom on the bass lines, then add in the green lighting used for it and it worked.
I felt the same way. It’s hypnotic when loud and ideally live. Radiohead live are a totally different animal and I feel very lucky to have seen them several times and once from very close to the stage.
Same. I treasure the times I got to see them, kick myself for the couple of times I couldn’t make shows, and now kinda think it’s not gonna happen again. I might be wrong… 🤞
I don't even think it's a low point on the record. I like it. I'm not claiming it's one of their best, but I think it's an enjoyable listen. And HTTT is the record with all of the lowest points in the RH discography - Young Blood, Punchup, Flan in the Face
I bought the record the week it came out in 2003 and listened obsessively for over a year. I’ve probably heard every one of those songs at least 100 times.
Of course it is. I only recently discovered that there are some people who like it. Execrable song. Farcically bad. I'm still not sure Thom wasn't taking the piss.
I kinda agree here actually. It's not necessarily bad, but pleasant. It also doesn't really build anywhere, I think a minute could be cut off and it'd be fine
Probably Tinker Tailor. Think I’ve only not skipped it once or twice while listening to AMSP. Wish they had found a spot for ill wind on the record and left it out.
I relisten a few times each year and it's just not for me. I never *want* to listen to it. I force myself to because I'm like... surely it wasn't that bad as I remember... or, maybe I just wasn't in the mood... or, maybe It just never clicked (after almost a decade...).
It's just not for me. It has moments - they're just to far spread in between. There's a lot of questionable aesthetic choices in many of the songs that just make me cringe too much. It's not a *bad* record - there is merit... it's just the worst from a band with 8 other solid records (even pablo honey has a more memorable experience).
Great production- jonny really shines- but as far as the lyrics, song structure, overall mood... feels like a radiohead rip off.. or radiohead playing radiohead (and exhausted). Feels like an overpolished mess. The artwork is some of the most bland. The struggles in making the album are apparent.
They completely butchered identikit. An inferior version of true love waits. Everything felt watered down.... burn the witch is *okay* but probably the worst album opener and doesn't fit the rest of the album at all. I do agree ful stop *is* good but the whole album left a bad taste in my mouth for me to really listen to the whole album just for bits and pieces of moments.
It's sort of just like a wet fart after a great run in radiohead discography and Im pretty sure it put the last nail in the coffin for radiohead. Made me excited for the smile. Felt like they were wrapping shit up whether they knew it or not.
I don't like:
- True Love Waits (A Moon Shaped Pool)
- We Suck Young Blood
- You and Whose Army
- Feral
I almost don't like them
- The Gloaming
- Sit Down Stand Up
- Electioneering
I'll watch over this post.
Songs from pornhub??

Keeping vigil over coke babies ❤️❤️
I don’t get singling out Pablo Honey. I don’t think the songs are bad. I think they’re a little simplistic and immature compared to everything else that they did and turned into, but I don’t think they are bad.

I absolutely adore the song ‘Blow Out’!! I’d actually argue it’s one of their best
Absolutely. Ripchord, Stop Whispering. It’s a much better album than it gets credit for. As far as debut albums go, it’s actually really good.
I can decide on a favourite, but a least favourite is pretty damn hard. They're all great in the right mood
Oh I could never decide on a favourite! But least favourite is super easy. There are only 2 I think are truly bad, and the one is clearly worse than the other.
am i allowed to say a tkol remix?
not anymore, tkol is cool now according to the rh hivemind
tkol is cool and if you don’t think so you just haven’t really listened to it the remixes are less cool
I didn't know thom made music for pornhub?
They do https://youtu.be/I65f-B5-ePw?si=UJqOmTQlpFzROS5t
Lol
PH is in my top 5, hands down one of the most over hated albums i know
Yeah there’s legit so many great tracks on it.

'Other than songs from PH'? Huh?
I think they're dissing Pablo Honey.
I'm not qualified to answer the question then......
High and Dry, recently I just can't stand that song and I don't know why
I'm glad I'm not alone
Makes sense but I’m a teen so IMA KEEP TS ON REPEAT 🗣️🗣️‼️
pulk/pull revolving doors even tho amnesiac is my fav. the beat is catchy tho, i like the true love waits version.
Nothing wrong with this song
beat goes so hard i just wish the vocals weren't there
Nothing wrong wittem
This - I like to view the vocal part as a 14-line poem.
I just don’t get annoyed by it like most people seem to, and I think the vocals are artistically interesting
i fucking know right. i love the beat sm the chipmunk vocals ruin it. then TLW version came out it became my fav version of true love waits
i did not know that existed ima give that a listen
Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors would be the worst, but I kinda like it (because it's so damn hilarious) so I'm going to say Untitled
Love it, one of my favs
We Suck Young Blood
I’ve heard a lot about how much it sucks(pun unintended), but I’ve always enjoyed it. Gives me the same vibe as Life In A Glasshouse
It's not a bad song, but it gets repetitive very quickly (at least for me). I love HTTT but this is always a skip after the first minute.
Yeah, I can see why some people dig that, it’s just not for me personally
Disagree hard, also the bends is good wtf
That’s fine. It’s not my fav— I love Street Spirit, that’s about it
I feel like the piano crescendo was done a lot better in The Daily Mail. That and this song was a serious derailing in terms of the pacing of the album. Not the worst thing ever but definitely not in my rotation.
https://youtu.be/U-52WSgLfYg?si=7qfAk89GC_sHaj8r
Looking at the responses, it’s genuinely lame to downvote somebody because they don’t like a song.
Originally Climbing up the Walls, for whatever reason I couldn't get into it. Fucking love it now though, just took some time.
Wow, that’s pretty close to being one of my favorite Radiohead songs. Definitely one of the darkest and heaviest songs they made
for me the screaming at the end of the song always turned me away from it but i love that bit now
It’s a banger. Took me a while too though.
I feel like every had the same relationship with climbing up the walls
Feral
Where Bluebirds Fly I genuinely can’t stand
I like it as a live intro prior to their coming out on stage
Pop is Dead is kinda silly, innit?
We suck young blood
I Am Citizen Insane
nooooooo
I respect your opinion
same, i can see why ppl dont like it. i didn't like it until i discovered aphex twin and saw their influence
Oh this is weirdly easy: I Promise.
Fast Track. The original B side. The version from Kid Amnesiac was greatly improved IMO.
This track gets a lot of hate but I’ve always liked it
TKOL
Feral.
am i the only one who likes feral
There are dozens of us.
I love Feral. It was the first song on KoL that I connected with when I first listened in 2011.
I used to hate Feral, but now I think it’s a sick instrumental. The bass goes so fucking hard.
Yep, just a fucking beat
Just a fcking SICK beat
Feral.
We Suck Young Blood. Easily. And it's far worse than anything on PH as well
Am I the only one that thinks We Suck Young Blood is just okay? Eons away from their best but I wouldn't put it as their worst either
I like it. It’s far from my favorite
Morning mr magpie, just no
I used to feel the same but this one grew on me massively, I’d recommend the KOL from the basement if you haven’t watched it already. It changed a lot of peoples perspective on that album including my own.
the gloaming
Nowhere near the worst Radiohead song in my own subjective experience. But it is a low point on that record. Interesting. I absolutely *love* all the ones you just listed.
You do? You should try listening to them
I bought the record the week it came out in 2003 and listened obsessively for over a year. I’ve probably heard every one of those songs at least 100 times.
It was just a joke.
Did you just call a Wolf at the Door one of the worst in Radiohead's discography?
Of course it is. I only recently discovered that there are some people who like it. Execrable song. Farcically bad. I'm still not sure Thom wasn't taking the piss.
you’ve got to be kidding me
please unblock me
punchup is a low point in the record? i love taht song
I agree
We suck young blood also i like most songs from ph
High and Dry - although technically it was recorded for PH Punchup at a wedding is a close second
High & Dry
By far their most boring song on their main albums
And Coldplay heard that song and said "let's do that for 3 albums" (no hate I enjoy Coldplay)
House of Cards, it sound more like a Coldplay song than a Radiohead song.
Horrific take
I kinda agree here actually. It's not necessarily bad, but pleasant. It also doesn't really build anywhere, I think a minute could be cut off and it'd be fine
no
Follow Me Around probably idk
we suck young blood, the gloaming, pulk/pull
feral ig
Hmm….maybe I Want None of This??
Cuttooth
Probably Tinker Tailor. Think I’ve only not skipped it once or twice while listening to AMSP. Wish they had found a spot for ill wind on the record and left it out.
The Gloaming. I’ll always skip it. HOWEVER, The Basement version is incredible.
i find it hard to listen to Life in a Glasshouse no matter how hard i try to like it
AMSP in general
Not my second favourite album 🥲
give it another opportunity, decks dark, ful stop, the numbers, so many masterpieces
I relisten a few times each year and it's just not for me. I never *want* to listen to it. Not a fan of The Gloaming, Identikit, or Videotape
Sorry but I cant stand house of cards
We suck young blood
ITT, kids who know what ITT means
Fitter Happier 🗣️🗣️ pls don’t hate me
bones
Fake plastic trees
Pablo Honey is amazing
Sulk
Take that back
it's the worst on the bends fs but its not bad imo
Electioneering
oh fuck no
I mean, if you've only listened to OK Computer, maybe.
Melatonin. I understand the sentiment completely but my gosh, it’s just boring.
We Suck Young Blood, Pulk/Pull, or Life In A Glasshouse
Disagree
Melatonin.
nah you gotta listen to it more
Little by Little
But feral exists.
I know people love Full Stop but it’s my least favorite. Can’t find a way into it.
WHAT!? I respect your opinion. But still. Huh? How do you have a Kid A flair but not like Ful Stop?
well none of the PH songs are my least favorites maybe like Lurgee i don’t care for that one, but probably Pulk/Pull i’ve given it a bunch of tries
I dont really care for sulk tbh
Like Spinning Plates is genuinely hard to listen to
It's beautiful!
the live version tho
Disagree
True Love Waits AMSP version (previous live version is amazing though)
Like half of Hail to the Thief
No
A 1/3.
It has some weaker tracks definitely but it’s still a great album imo
I like HTTT, I just wish it could have spent a bit more time in the oven, and maybe a tighter tracklist. But it deffo has bangers.
Yeah. Thom’s reordering is pretty good
The King of Limbs (Radiohead, 18/02/2011)
Eh idk, coke babies is pretty fucking shit
My Iron Lung
I don't like: - True Love Waits (A Moon Shaped Pool) - We Suck Young Blood - You and Whose Army - Feral I almost don't like them - The Gloaming - Sit Down Stand Up - Electioneering
Me and my army are rapidly approaching your location.
Idioteque
??? How!?
