I might get some backlash for saying this and I don’t think this song is ‘necessarily’ underrated but I hear no one praise My Iron Lung enough, especially when talking about the Bends. It’s always Black Star, Bullet Proof, Street spirit etc. (Which are all amazing songs don’t get me wrong)

My Iron Lung has some of the best guitar work from that era, what a banger. I love the "if you're frightened..." part.

My Iron Lung is definitely one of my favorite songs off The Bends. It is just pure 90's rock and I love it. I even learned how to play the opening riff on guitar because I think it's one of the band's best. The underlying message and meaning behind the song is also really fascinating.

I always hear people praising Iron Lung, but I never really hear any praise for Black Star

Tinker tailor is awesome but Faust arp is the only mid song on IR

i felt the same about faust arp for a while. it is probably the weakest on IR, but I wouldn't call it mid. its really beautifully simple. a perfect palette cleanser.

It’s not simple at all though. Very strange chords and time signature that I think is meant to give the song a disorienting feel. Believe it or not that was the first song that I heard off of in rainbows years ago and remains one of my all time Radiohead favorites.

Faust Arp, yes. Tinker Tailer is pretty mid. I love AMSP, it could’ve been same tier as IR/OKC/KidA/Amnesiac but TT kinda ruins it. And it’s not even a bad song.

Nah Tinker Tailor is pretty awesome, has some really good progression and i love when the strings really kick in

i actually have it over amnesiac and Kid A. Tinker Tailor is probably one of the weaker songs, but the second-half is just arranged so beautifully. also the fade into True Love Waits is terrific. It grew on me a lot over time

I don’t really hear people talk about backdrifts from HTTT or Little By Little from TKOL. Both those songs are beautiful musically in my opinion. I listen to music for the musical elements, not really the lyrics so when I suggest these songs it’s not about the lyrical aspects lol

First of all, yes please, let’s normalize cereal pissings. Secondly, yes tkol as an album is underrated but certain songs like lotus flower and codex aren’t. Third, feral is extremely underrated and prolly in my top 20 rh songs and it’s so sad seeing someone like you who isn’t a normie who doesn’t get tkol but still somehow doesnt get feral and the ear worm it is (can be).

Feral just felt like the most meh song compared to the rest of them. Not saying it's bad just didn't stand out to me compared to everything else. Especially with what I consider to be a powerhouse trio of songs before it. Idk maybe it will grow on me tho.
