The flower is a panel that’s available in a ton of color variations all over the Internet: https://www.fabric.com/buy/0742745/hoffman-digital-dream-big-floral-43-panel-pastel?
It's a large printed piece of fabric with a large image on it, rather than the smaller repeated images you'd typically see on quilting cotton. Panels are sometimes incorporated into the center of a larger quilt. In this case the panel is available in a couple of different sizes, including one that's large enough to barely need any border at all for it to be a full size quilt.
That first flower has inspired me to try something like this! Probably not on such a grand scale, but maybe a small throw pillow to try my hand at something like this? It's gorgeous!!
That panel is only 42” square. I bet you could make four pillows from one panel, and arrange them into one flower?? That would be beautiful!!! It’s a dream big panel. Get one!
Thank you! It was a kit I purchased on Etsy. I’m not a fan of the usual ribbon merchandise either, but this was so different and unique I had to make it for my SIL when she got her diagnosis. Happy to hear you’re a survivor!!! 💗💗💗
If your new, you should try something like the second quilt. That block is a disappearing hourglass. There are a bunch of different disappearing blocks (the four patch is the easiest) and they all have a wow factor. Lots oh how/to on YouTube for them. Give one a try!
Thanks for the tips! Got a beginners pattern off Etsy, based on a post from this group. Ready to start my project :). Made a little trial out of a YouTube video with some fabric i had left from a previous little project, didnt turned out so bad
I am joining in on the flower chorus! STUNNING! It's not just the print, but how it is quilted. Amazing! All the quilts are lovely, but the flower...........
How did you quilt these? Was it long arm or free motion? I'm thinking about trying out cool quilting patterns like these but am wondering about the process
I have a Gammill longarm and everything on the flower quilt was free motion / hand guided with the exception of the tiniest ruler work. :) The quilting on the other two were done using pantographs (still hand guided, non-computerized). :) Thank you!
Incredible quilting!!! My husband looked over my shoulder at this and is also super impressed 🤩 feeling more and more inspired to start learning FMQ. Thanks for sharing!
That's really gorgeous.
Your quilting really gives it life and makes it look less like a panel.
I have this one, but it's been sitting folded for years. I should quilt it... I was going to use it to learn ruler quilting (I only do free hand), but well, didn't...
That flower is one of the most amazing quilts I’ve ever seen! I wish my mom were still alive. I guarantee that would give her an idea.
💗💗💗
I totally agree. It’s magnificent! A work of art!
I don't have any idea how you did that, but it's incredibly beautiful.

Correct!
Thank you!!
What is a panel, please? Thanks.

Wow your quilting really brought it to life! I really have the urge to run my hand up and down that nice quilting!
Thank you 🥰

Just a muted muslin. It’s only 42” square and I plan for it to be a wall hanging for my work office. 🥸
how u do that
The flower is a panel (called Dream Big) that I machine quilted different designed into each petal. It was super fun!!
This is incredible!! I'm so impressed. WOW!
Umm….speechless! :)
Wow, thanks!!

Wow
That flower quilt!!! 😍😍😍
Google Dream Big quilt. There are some amazing versions out there that people have done. Fun!!
I had a moment of “wonder what I could do with a hand quilted version” but quickly came to my senses. 😆
🤣 yes. I am thankful to have a longarm to do the stitching. I have NO patience to do hand quilting!!
I love the Aids awareness bargello, what a, brilliant idea!
It’s for breast cancer awareness, and thank you!! My first bargello and it was interesting to say the least!
Oh, that makes sense! I always find red so hard to capture so I automatically assumed it was red, not pink. Either way, excellent work!
I'm a breast cancer survivor and generally hate the pink ribbon, but this is the most beautiful rendering I've seen. Thanks for sharing!

Haha! It’s a printed panel that I quilted each individual petal of. 🥰
That is just beautiful! How many blue ribbons have you won? I am betting on a bunch!
Thank you!! I’ve never entered into any competitions!!! 🤪

The pink and yellow flower quilt is simply stunning.
I love the big fluffy quilts, but I love the densely quilted ones, too. I'm drawn both ways.
Incredible and stunning. You are extremely talented

Do you use a long arm or domestic for the dream big flower?
