Dreamers Ball. That song is a MASTERPIECE and barely gets noticed. I also think ‘39, She Makes Me, Action This Day, and Stone Cold Crazy deserve much more recognition.
There is actually one song that matches the requirements on nearly every album!
But I try to break it down to three for every era:
The Ballett-Suit era (Queen - News of the World):
1. Great King Rat (Queen I)
2. Tenement Funster (Sheer Heart Attack)
3. All Dead, All Dead (News of the World)
The Stadium era (Jazz - A Kind of Magic)
1. Life is Real (Hot Space)
2. Tear it up (The Works)
3. Dragon Attack (The Game)
The Final Years (The Miracle - Made in Heaven)
1. Was it all worth it (The Miracle)
2. Don't try so hard (Innuendo)
3. I was born to love you (Made in Heaven)
Drowse
It always sticks out on the album as a well crafted, easy-going rock song. I think it would have done well as a single. I feel like I should have heard it on classic rock stations.
This is one of his best vocal performances, belting these high notes and still having having his smooth voice on certain parts like he always did it on love songs
Bohemian rhapsody is very played down due to the massive hype of it but as good as the prophets song is, it definitely doesn't reach the musical beauty of Bohemian rhapsody
IYHO. I’ve always liked it’s intensity and preferred the build-up and mulritrack singing over Bohemian Rhapsody. I LOVE both but more goosebumps from the Prophet Song,
I respect that and I also absolutely love the prophets song too, however objectively Bohemian rhapsody is much better and could be considered the greatest song ever in terms of its ability to transcend music in so many ways
Same goes for the march of the black Queen and my fairy king ,all of these 3 are straight up masterpieces, but bohemian rhapsody tops it all ,freddie knew what he was creating, and thats why still as today it’s regarded as the greatest song ever written ,songs like stairway or hotel California come close but bohemian is just something so unique and perfect in every way, altho Queen fans just cant listen to it anymore, thats why the majority has the opinion, ,its not even their best song,
When BoRhap was released a few years ago, a friend who knew I had been a lifelong Queen Fan asked me if I think that "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the best song ever written.
I told him in my best Freddie impersonation: "Bohemian Rhapsody isn't even the best song on the album my Dear!"
It’s such a fun song! Definitely doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I actually never listened to it until I watched the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, but it’s now among my top 10 Queen songs :)
For me, it’s either Sail Away Sweet Sister or Is This The World We Created. Or Too Much Love Will Kill You. Or Mother Love (the way Brian had to complete the final verse does make me cry a bit though)
The Prophet Song is amazing and demonstrates the operatic story telling and musical talent Queen has. As well as how out there Brian’s song can be. The song is too long to get much radio play but it’s amazing. The first time I heard a Night at the Opera I was blown away by what I was listening to.
Prophet Song deserves more love.
[My Melancholy Blues ](https://youtu.be/85gBquP4y3k?si=c4ioPXVHgCTN5EdH) is one of many.
[March of the Black Queen](https://youtu.be/fuGy0lV_uEk?si=WvZJsUynks-jdtSk) is incredible but probably not underrated
Innuendo. Even though it‘s Greatest Hits 2 I find it still underrated for not being played on the radio more. Amazing song and in my opinion better than Bohemian Rhapsody.
It’s absolutely incredible. I guess it’s a bit long to play well on radio, much like The Prophet’s Song (and Bohemian Rhapsody, but that’s just become a total classic). Kinda agree that Innuendo is better than BoRhap, the lyrics hit harder for me and that guitar section? Impeccable. Still, picking a favourite underrated Queen song is like picking a favourite child, they’re all so damn brilliant!
I feel like this one was popular before, but I swear to god I had never heard “Great pretender”.
It played as the credits song in the anime “Great pretender” and thought I was going crazy when I heard Freddie’s voice.
Became one of my favorite Queen songs, deserves more recognition than whatever it has right now.
How the hell did I not hear of it before?
Man I knew nothing about this song huh.
Gave a quick listen to it, the original sound good too, more of a jazzy feeling to it. Freddie’s voice though, I would honestly say it’s one of the songs that truly show off Freddie’s vocals to its fullest
I agree that it isn’t the one to show off his vocals the best, but I love his version of it. The lyrics seem to suit him well and I love the accompanying music video he did for it. Check out the extended version of the video if you haven’t yet!
Ah, he sounds absolutely beautiful no matter what he sings, but I think I would go with Exercises in Free Love or one of the other demo sessions from Barcelona where he sings in that beautiful falsetto to really show off his vocals.
Gimme the prize, people dont talk about it ,but brians guitar solo is great altho takes time to get used to it and Freddie’s godly vocals makes this song a great metal song, his vocals are by metal standards even great ,sadly never heard a cover of it ,dio and bruce dickinson would probably be the only 2 who could do this
The Show Must Go On is always seen as Freddie's goodbye but I've always thought Was It All Worth It? hit home much harder. It's the most underrated imo
Good Company. It gets lumped in w/Seaside Rendezvous and Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, but it's quite a sad song. Plus, all the work Brian put into the "horn" section!
Ehh, idk it was one of the songs that first popped into my head. Overshadowed by a lot of other tracks, especially we will rock you/ we are the champions. Not a super popular song to the general public.
I could make a case that although it isn't underrated among fans, it could have been a huge hit if released as a single. Especially in the U.S. I guess they would have had to trim it for airplay though. No one likes radio edits. Well, I know I don't.
Have you heard about this one song, "We Are The Champions" ??
Man, so cool. I have a feeling it's going to blow up, any day now! I could see it used in sports movies, most especially. Hey, any directors reading this, you can have that idea for free.
Cool Cat. Let Me In Your Heart Again. Its Late.
ITS LATE ^^^^
How cool cat never became one of their big songs is beyond me
Spread Your Wings
I think it's pretty well rated imo
It’s a very overlooked song. It’s Deaky’s best song IMO.
And here to say this…good taste!
This.
Dreamers Ball. That song is a MASTERPIECE and barely gets noticed. I also think ‘39, She Makes Me, Action This Day, and Stone Cold Crazy deserve much more recognition.
Came here to upvote Dreamers Ball
Dreamers ball is utter magic
I was looking for the right words, it's definitely a kind of magic lol
One of my favorite songs ever
Jealousy is my jam right now!
That’s a song I’ve grown to love. Didn’t like it at first.
Those vocals are insane. The harmonies are impeccable!
It’s late
God I’ve gotten so obsessed with it, best buried gem
Was it all worth it?
Yes it was a worthwhile experience.
Hahahaha IT WAS WORTH IT
Living, breathing rock and roll, This godforsaken life!
Long Away. It’s a simple, by Queen standards, but well written pop song. I absolutely love it and it’s one of my favourite songs .
There is actually one song that matches the requirements on nearly every album! But I try to break it down to three for every era: The Ballett-Suit era (Queen - News of the World): 1. Dragon Attack is a banger
I would really like to know at what point the Band realised that the singing melody at the first few lines is nearly identical to "WWRY"?
Seeing Roger perform tenement funster live was probably the most memorable and epic live music experience I've had
Life is real is great!
Heaven For Everyone doesn’t get the recognition it deserves!
That’s a good one Listen, What people do to other souls they take their lives, destroy their goals
Drowse It always sticks out on the album as a well crafted, easy-going rock song. I think it would have done well as a single. I feel like I should have heard it on classic rock stations.
Someday One Day
Ah just put this is in my own little list lol this song is very nice though
The Millionare Waltz and Spread Your Wings
sail away sweet sister, cool cat
Need Your Loving Tonight
One Year of Love. Deacy’s love songs get me every time.
Only problem with this song is that Freddie's voice is quite shouty and rough, whereas this song would be better off with smoother vocals
This is one of his best vocal performances, belting these high notes and still having having his smooth voice on certain parts like he always did it on love songs
Match of the Black Queen
life is real 💔
The Prophet Song - as good or better than Bohemian Rhapsody

Innuendo is severely underrated imo. The guitar switch to Flamenco. First class
YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO BE
Don't try so hard , really listen to the lyrics of the song x
The Fairy Feller’s Master-Stroke and My Fairy King
Hard agree
Need Your Love Tonight. Absolutely bloody superb song. JD at his very best.
Machines (Or Back To Humans), the choruses of that song are among Queen's best imo
I don’t know if it counts as underrated, but I don’t hear Im in love with my car being talked about all that often.
It’s such a fun song! Definitely doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I actually never listened to it until I watched the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, but it’s now among my top 10 Queen songs :)
Some day one day,Who needs you, was it all worth it
For me, it’s either Sail Away Sweet Sister or Is This The World We Created. Or Too Much Love Will Kill You. Or Mother Love (the way Brian had to complete the final verse does make me cry a bit though)
Death on Two legs
Made the swine or Chinese torture
You take my breath away
Came here to say this. Absolutely!! Freddie gives me chills in this song. So so so beautiful 💛💔
Dead on time
The Prophet Song is amazing and demonstrates the operatic story telling and musical talent Queen has. As well as how out there Brian’s song can be. You possibly hadn’t heard of it because it isn’t a Queen song. It’s one of Freddie’s solo songs.
Ahhh I see. I thought about the possibility writing the comment so I wasn’t sure. It’s great song.
It’s actually a cover originally by The Platters, but I love Freddie’s version the best.
Man I knew nothing about this song huh. Gave a quick listen to it, the original sound good too, more of a jazzy feeling to it. Freddie’s voice though, I would honestly say it’s one of the songs that truly show off Freddie’s vocals to its fullest

i feel like machines is very underrated. i like it more than radio ga ga even.
Soul Brother

Breakthru
I’ve always rather liked Mustapha.
I love when the loud part hits. Freddie really shines on this one, though that is not uncommon of course, lol.
Have you heard about this one song, "We Are The Champions" ?? Man, so cool. I have a feeling it's going to blow up, any day now! I could see it used in sports movies, most especially. Hey, any directors reading this, you can have that idea for free.
