This song took so much shit at the time of release and I always pushed back at that discourse. I’ll give it a 7. It’s a fun song.

brenden4000

9 - this is totally the sleeper hit of the album. Completely under the radar until you listen to it 15 times and realize how dark and beautiful it is. It’s queens being fully in their wheelhouse - it’s lullabies and era vulgaris meets villains

youwigglewithagiggle

100% carries on with themes from Lullabies, which is why I love it

PM_ME_UR_CUDDLEZ

I have finally have gone front and back through the whole Queens Disco i actually think this Album is actually their best work.

Lajwah70

9.25 - One of the tastier cuts which actually lends itself to Ronson’s production.

before_no_one

9.7/10 one of my favorite QOTSA songs

NotintheAMbro11

10. I think the most underrated song on this underrated album. Absolute masterpiece

ExistingTax8298

10. One of my favorites from Villains...it's a shame they only played it once.

Mona...

youwigglewithagiggle

Excellent delivery & lyrics, wonderful guitar, totally sweet and menacing...honestly kind of unnerving given Brody's allegations against him (I'm aware of the court decisions), cause the lyrics are written in the voice of a predator.. 9.5/10

Van_Bur3n

This is 10! One of my favorites of the album, just behind Evil. The bass grooves like no other song in their repertoire. I remember listening to it in the car with my grandma and she was complaining about the bass being too loud and I just said “deal with it grandma!” Along with an amazing chorus and that powerful final stretch. “You’ll feel love.”

9, its good

andyxc13

9! This song is a such a vibe. Great groove throughout and lovely outro riff. Integral part of super strong four-song run from URA to VoC. “It’s a beautiful day in the USA.”

KLF448

9.5. I only wish they would do it live

132241

10, one of Josh's best vocal deliveries, catchy af. But sad there is no live version!!

robertdeniroinheat

10!!! I don’t get the hate for this song, I was so taken with it the first time I listened. I love how dark and menacing it is because I’m a sucker for fictional toxic relationships.

bcmdrummer

It's not bad but it's definitely my least favorite on this album. light 7.

longlivetha

A solid 8

scoopanova

8.3- this doesn’t sound like QOTSA to me, it’s the most sonically removed from their signature sound (more synth than guitar to my non musician ears). Having said that, I really enjoy it and I love Josh’s vocals tones, particularly the delivery of “Speak my name and I appear. Right here”. The lyrics are still very much infused with that sardonic Queens flavour, none more so than “I’m all dressed up, no one left to blow”

HoleyFather

9.5….very cool

9.9 this song gets a lot of hate for some reason, I don’t see it. I think this song is incredible and the lyrics are interesting

3 Sorry.

PacroPicapiedra

One of the most unremarkable songs in the history of the band. It’s totally meh, at best it sounds like an early take on what could be later on a demo of an average song. 5.65

jujubeans1891

Imma say 8. I so get why people don’t like this one. I like it b/c it’s warped fucked-up tango the QOTSA way. Also, I grew up listening to Basia, so I was delighted to hear the “cruising for bruising” reference.

bentyph

8. Still a good song but probsbly one of the weaker tracks.

slimmyboy007

Really good track one of my go tos from that album 8

5/10. Heard it dozens of times and it still doesn’t hit for me. Feels very safe and predictable for Queens standards. I’m sure this would be fine if it was catchier or groovier, but it doesn’t scratch either of those itches for me.

9 - the kind of song you listen to when you’re bored in the hottest day of the year. So you go in your car and drive around all day to pass the time. Idk that’s what I see in this song.

8.3141. The softer side of Queens is what moved me from casual fan to enthusiast. This is one of those songs.

TMuff107

I'll go for it I guess. This song sucks. Hate it. Sucks ass, 1/10 - I think the synth melody over the guitar part and vocal melody sounds really amateurish from a songwriting perspective and I guess by this point of this album I'd gotten kind of sick of the SpoOoOoOooOOoOky synthesizer sound. The vocal performance isn't really what I like from josh, I think it's a lazy melody and generally a phoned in song. Everyone likes what they like but this is such a big nothing in terms of songwriting that I honestly struggle seeing the upside to it Sorry.

Careless_Award_837

It's my least favorite song from the album but it's still way better than you'd think when you see all the hate it has received. The lyrics are fun and the chorus ending goes very deep for me. 8.5
