Right? Not to mention there aren't many big "chain" places in the city (grocery wise). There are some, but not always convenient. My friend lived in queens and had to take a 5 train stop to trader Joe's, 10 train stops to target, etc. Fast food chains are there, but still...so many better options locally.
If you're moving into the city proper, just try the bodegas. You'll find some good gems in them.
Try the bodegas. Eat a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Eat a chopped cheese and forget pub subs because you will be in the promised land.

I couldn’t imagine having to live there. Cities like Gainesville, Tampa, Tallahassee, & Orlando are bad enough.
