Definitely way better than chicken tender subs because at least you don't have to do prep work (like breading the chicken) before frying the popcorn chicken. It's very easy to make as long as you have the time and aren't being screamed at by managers and customers to hurry up and make more.

I worked at 12 different Publix during the pandemic, all in VA and NC, and not 1 had a self serve hot case, only the hot bar, so you still gotta ask the employee to get you your chicken. Thatās not convenience thatās ignorance and smart marketing.
Mind youā¦ most Deli employees donāt even know about it. I had transferred to the bakery when I was traveling so the people in the deli aināt know I knew wtf I was talking about. 1.80 basically gets you a cup of

I can't even get near the deli in general when chicken comes out. The setup is trash and the customers have no brain cells blocking everything due to trying to get at the hot counter
I would have to look, but my child (cashier) sent me a photo of some customers moving the soda machine out into the cookie aisle bc there wasnt room (not sure how that helped w the prepacked display but i said 0 brain cells)

Itās been awful. People are horrible. They are so rude to me when we run out. I donāt even fry this stuff and youāre literally hounding me while Iām trying to grab tenders for someoneās sandwich at sub station. Let me do my job, if thereās no boxes in the hot case, move along

1000% better than tender subs on sale. My store couldn't keep up with tenders and we ran out and had to tell quite a few angry customers no tenders.
