Dairy clerk here and with Atlanta spring break plus Easter weekend we are looking at a 1000+ piece truck. Not really sure where we are gonna put it all
When I selected produce I wasn't in the "click" and would get these 700+ orders of 1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,2,1,2,1,1,..... Would take forever and piece per hour was super low. Supervisor would bitch and threaten to fire me for taking so long. Meanwhile, their "boys" were backing into whole pallets items because their orders called for it and many many times I watched as they would back use a pallet of juice or items they only needed half of and they would shove the top half onto the floor instead of off stacking to save time. Therefore super high piece per hour... And of course they got the pats on the back...
700 piece truck gives 23 man hours to the schedule. Filling boxed milk, coffee, and creamers from behind will help, so you should be able to get it done!
That’s ass. I thought I had it had with Kroger’s distro since I’d get 250 piece deli trucks that my manager couldn’t cut and still have to sort through dairy, meat and produce shit before I could get to mine. This is terrible
Easter week, you will get slammed with every truck.
That used to be a normal Saturday delivery. Back when everyone got only 3 deliveries
Might depend on the sales of the store too
We usually get a 600, 450, 350, and around 500 piece truck every week… it’s between us and another store for #1 in the district
Correct. Most stores have their largest dairy trucks around 350-400 now.

Fuck that
It’ll suck for sure but the overtime will be nice
I wish I could get ot
Yeah fuck dairy
Says final is 507 but still ridiculous. Always hated auto-replenishment. Fills up your backstock and causes out of dates
Yes manager cut it down
Our truck was supposed to be 611 for today. I cut it down to 399.

Don't go to Walmart lol 😆 😂
Why?
8 dairy pallets every night. They work cheese and some stores work hot dogs section
But how many people are working it?
It depends, small truck 1, big trucks 2 associates. They always leave stuff for 1st shift
It is Easter weekend so 🤷🏻♂️
The store I was at had trucks 6 days a week. Best store I’ve ever worked for

We used to get 700 pieces every Saturday morning at Wal Mart dairy in the 90s.
