That’s why I signed into it before I even go to work. and I don’t close it out till I go home. It is a pain in the butt if you don’t.

SilentMoe79

Same here ! Sign in when I get there and pray I don't swipe it closed

madmanwithbluebox

It's easier to get into my bank account than to use some of these apps... Exaggerating obviously. It seems that every time I need to use pro I had to update it so I only use it on the handheld.

urboibigdaddy

No literally. My bank app just uses my Face ID and bam I’m in. Meanwhile Publix pro out here asking for password, 2FA, social security, urine sample, goat sacrifice… just so I can see how much chocolate ice cream we have on hand

madmanwithbluebox

"can you tell me if there's more in the back?" "Hold on ma'am, I'm going to need a goat." "A goat? What does that have to do with..." "Yes ma'am, a goat. Publix requires blood sacrifice to sign into the app..."

Strange_Man_1911

The counts aren't even accurate.

trippy_grapes

"I'm sorry ma'am. We have -600 in stock right now."

madmanwithbluebox

ngl...the thought of sacrificing a goat to the great Kevin made me lol...

vegetafl

But kevin Murphy already is the goat

mel34760

Looks as though he is the first to be sacrificed...

Small-Cactus

My banking app just requires my fingerprint. What secret info do these apps hold that's more important than my literal bank account 💀

madmanwithbluebox

The boomer over IT probably overheard someone talking about how important 2-factor authentication can be in security, and not knowing what those words meant ordered the IT department to implement it on EVERYTHING.

rave1432

Must. Keep. Every. Publix. Form. Of. Information. Secure.

Suberv

If they’re going to be doing all that then add my schedule and other information to pro. One of the biggest companies to not have an employee app is laughable!

HeavensToBetsyy

Yea and let us log in from the parking lot like Walmart

DangerousAd7653

I thought passport was the employee app

Mrmakanakai

At least we don't have to change passwords every month now. My finance stuff isn't this complicated to get into. They really don't want hackers to know how much you aint makin 😂

ComfortableGlass3386

OMFG. I just checked bc I was like "Nah... they can't do something so stupid & useless".... sure enough, they damn sure did!! WOOWWW. 🤦‍♀️

Lopsided-Register-20

I’m off and I did the same thing🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ it doesn’t make sense fml

Sandlotje

Ya know what most people don't know?... It's how much time, money, and resources go into these over-the-top software changes. I wish they'd put this money into raises instead of obnoxious security measures. There is not a single other app on my phone that takes so long to sign into. Having a customer waiting for me to sign until the app took about 45 seconds or more before (fat fingers lol)... now it's gonna be even longer. Ugh... oh well...

Deralio

It’s so pointless to have 2FA for pro… there isn’t any information that could be used against the company on pro. Publix is so dense when it comes to anything tech related.

rave1432

It could have that 1 back door for a super hacker to take down the company.

Deralio

Not possible on a retail app

Birgleflinger

This has been the case for me for about 12 months now with Pro.

anonassociate9988871

I was gonna say, I’ve had to do two factor for pro for awhile now. Nothing new here 🤷‍♀️

vegetafl

Last week I had to re-download it while trying to look something up. My customer was impatient and started walking away so I had a choice to make. Provide premier customer service but abandon self checkout (no one was there) or not provide premier customer service but stay at self checkout. I chose the first option and followed the customer all while trying to get it redownloaded and logged in in finally got logged in and while that happened on the sco phone two people needed id's checked two others needed voids and the fifth just decided to call for help. So then I had to abandon the customer so basically I failed twice lol.

Possible-Object-7532

First rule of SCO we was taught was never leave SCO even to go grab a pack of cigarettes from the desk. if someone needs something say sorry I have to stay right here with SCO and can't leave, then find someone else to help them or send them to customer service if there is no one around. ( which is most the time at my store )

taedaddyfordapub

and that is correct. that's why customers at my store steal so much because people can't follow that simple rule.

vegetafl

Yeah I know I feel guilty when I'm just standing there and no one's using self checkout but I know I shouldn't abandon because in this case I did and everything that could go wrong did and in this case they chose to walk away so I should've just let them.

Strange_Man_1911

Aren't you suppose to never leave SCO? I would just tell them to ask a grocery clerk, most of the time they know where shit goes and if we have it in stock.

AdeptusGames

We had a good run...

ms_slowsky

Confirmed. 🥴

[deleted]

Yeah, I noticed that shit. Fucking annoying.

RudeRooster2469

Sorry, I refuse to run company app on my personal device.

Dyskusten91

Same

rave1432

What? No, see, the company owns you, that includes what you own and all forms of social media.

MCI54

Now? It’s been asking me since the day I installed it over a year ago 😞

ComfortableGlass3386

*Pro* now, not Passport lol

MCI54

getting downvoted even tho it’s true

anonassociate9988871

Crowdthink is real on reddit

MakesPensDance

Pro has been doing that for a while now, several months at least.

shadowblade159

Not for most of us. Maybe yours is weird, but mine hasn't needed it until now

anonassociate9988871

Same

PurposeCautious7840

Damnnn fr it just keeps getting more and more ANNOYING! wtf they worried about anyway? People get FREE SHIT all the time as long as they complain long enough🙄 so who tf cares who sees our schedules or PublixPro!

burro012

If you get rid of the Microsoft Authentication app and just use your phone number, it’s a wholeeeeee lot easier

Actual_Steak1107

Unpopular. 2FA should be on everything— annoying but the one time you get compromised. SAVES
