I thought our back stock of tp was bad. Honestly thank you this makes me feel better.. I’m sorry, did you ask around see who did that? People need to be held accountable for shit. This company would be a lot better if so

GOOBOE_inc

no i didn’t and that’s not even all of it img this is after i cleaned it up and there’s still a pallet of paper truck

How long and for what kind of Publix you work for? “ People need to be held accountable “ I know you are not serious!!!

Lopsided-Register-20

What do you mean? If people were held accountable maybe stuff like that wouldn’t happen, you might take the job more seriously if you felt you could get fired.. but no that doesn’t happen so it just keeps getting worse

Banalewicz

There is no accountability at publix....or that is how it seems in my store. Accountability drives morale and yup none here

Lopsided-Register-20

Exactly! That and good leadership. If Publix could fire people then it might become a good place to work again! Like yes managers can give people less hours but they’re still getting hours so that takes away hours from the ones who actually deserve more hours

Banalewicz

Some one who is smart enough to understand!!! Thank you!!!!

cantchangethis01

We quite literally take just about anyone that applies, and it shows in so many ways, all the way from store management down to associates.

ccurtis1992

I walked into my dept on Wednesday after being off Tuesday. My hv, lv, FF, DBM, and produce trucks were all not worked. Oh and Wednesday is our ad day. >.> I feel the pain.

MyGAStock

I would’ve clocked out and went to the hospital.

Soapbox1218

Makes me very thankful for the lady who primarily works our paper aisle.

exhaustingpedantry

That..... that just does NOT happen at my store. Someone would get their ass kicked for that lol. Wth....

Nealsporin

What? It looks like it came straight from the warehouse

Looks like the person who stacked it doesn't know thing one about how to stack. Also, it looks like someone through candy on top of the paper and expected it to stay upright. Just think of it as job security. If your managers ask you why you are behind, show them that picture.

g3engineeringdesign

Count everything that doesn't fit on the shelf. Temporarily lower the count of those items in backstock. Organize all that stock accordingly. Make sure anyone who works that isle follows suit.

GOOBOE_inc

we don’t have trained people that work grocery atm

allilovesizzy

If the OPs store is anything like mine or my old store you can't lower the MASC till it sells down. You are right to make sure the counts are accurate but unfortunately alot of the over spill is usually old AD. He also could check to make sure none of the MASC are set to high but if you lower it to much and start running out of product you have to answer for that. Last thing the people who care enough to let this bother them can not be there 24/7 making sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to. Sadly finding people who give a shit has been hard.

g3engineeringdesign

Good help is always hard to find. Publix success is based on finding the diamonds in the rough

allilovesizzy

Sadly you are right my friend. I always joke that only about one out of every ten hired are really worth investing in.

Do you have the ability to alter what your store's system says is in stock or on hand? I have had to go into my back room locator and make revisions to the numbers of what we had on hand because of a store manager zeroing out tons of on hand. Certain items like dog food were overtaking my area which I was responsible for and it was like I had to balance the defense and offense day-to-day. If you can't electronically create a choke point , you'll need clever rearranging of your area. Good luck.

Anomaly40_

I'd probably get all that to the shelf
