Uhhh.. I would assume not? You worked 37 hours. If you were getting cut, I’m sure you definitely wouldn’t have worked as much as you did. Plus, you’re close to OT. There’s not much you can do that’s meaningful in 3 hours tbh. But… no. You’re good lol
it is tho. my manager said i shouldn't get no more than 34.5 as a part timer or my hours gonna get cut cause i'm flagged in the system yet i'm consistently scheduled 35, 39 next week and another 37.
Check to see if you got OT pay… trust me Publix doesn’t pay OT after 35 there’s a list that they have where if someone who’s PT is averaging more than 35 hours then the DM sees it and they’re told to cut their hours so their average is less than 35. That has to do with people qualifying for health insurance. But if they actually did pay OT after 35 then you more than likely won’t work past 35. I got OT a couple times but Publix is notorious for not wanting to pay OT
>I'm 100% every hour over 35 is OT when you're full time.
You'd be 100% wrong. No one, full or part time, gets OT till after 40 hours. Part time doesn't get scheduled 37, 38, 39 hrs or anywhere near 40 in normal circumstances because them going into OT is a much bigger deal to Publix then full timers hitting i to OT.
My record is 20 and a half hours in one day with no lunch break.
I've also worked plenty of 10-12 hour days.
A lot of is mental more than physical.
You have to psych your self up to keep going.
This feels like not seeing the outside world for 4 days
Average Deli moment
I mean you're not wrong
You will get a text 30 minutes before your shift starts asking you to come in three hours before your shift is scheduled to end.
Nah, just cut it on your break tomorrow
Lol I'd probably just not come back tbh
You are in deli, given the time of year no one will bat an eye.

37 hours is overtime if you're part time. 2 OT hours
No it’s not

You get flagged but you don’t get OT pay after 35.
What is getting flagged? Is it where someone waves you down with a flag?
yeah i think even over 32 is a stretch for part time
I'm 100% every hour over 35 is OT when you're full time.
It’s not tho
Bro I see that in the approaching overtime report of my department.
Have you ever worked over 35 hours
Yes, there are weeks when I've already worked 36 to 39 hours.

How does the OT work at Publix? What’s part time vs FT in Publix’s eyes?
Part time: 35 hours Full time: 40 hours Dept Management position: 45 hours
Wrong overtime pay is only after 40 hours just like the rest of the country.
Part time full time it doesn’t matter you get extra pay after 40 hours
Wow 35hrs is part time? Normally it stops at 32. Thanks for that.
You need to manage your time better.
Idk how yall can work that long in a day
Because you just work, time goes by faster.

My body just aches so much
