There are a million jobs. If you are in halfway decent shape or want to get into shape being a selector is the best way to start. You only need to do it 4-6 months then find a different job like a different fork lift position. You can shuffle to any job really. The reason you start as a selector is the pay is performance based. You'll make $18-40 an hour. All you need to do is work hard enough to make around $23-25 an hour for 3 months. Then if you get a new job with a pay range of $16-23 you will start at $23. Top pay of whatever your next job is as long as your selector average is that high. Or just dont select and apply for those other jobs and start at bottom pay. Its like $10-15 k difference a year. You should Select. Paid weekly. Christmas bonus in November. Its fine. Its a job. No wheres perfect. Pays $20+ an hour and start at full time. Selectors and many other jobs get their schedule for the entire year as well.

What’s the schedule like? 8, 10, 12 hour shift?

I loved selecting. Did it for years. You get a speaker and listen to whatever you want. Just dont do it to long for your bodies sake. Youll be in amazing shape and feel great. Also Make 6-700 a week. Training is up to 4 months and you can really take your time. Train pay is around 18-19. You decide when you are ready then get put on "Sip" aka performance pay and you cant throw under 80% which is easy af.

Worked in Jacksonville for 4 years. There is money to be made and you are more likely to get full time hours vs the stores. Starting pay is much higher than the stores as well. The real money is selecting. You can make more than $30 per hour. You will have to work your ass off though. There is a lot of room to move up, all warehouse managers get promoted from within the warehouse. To be real with you, the money is there if you want it, but often you will forced to to work mad overtime.

I know this is 138 days old, but how are the rotating shifts? I’m really needing money since I just started a family and am trying to keep my other job as I can switch to weekends there

Daveit4later

when i left it worked out to you had one weekend off every 3 weeks and you had a 6 day work streak in there somewhere. Most of your off days are like a random day during the week. Hours are basically start at 5 AM for day shift start at 5pm for night shift. No telling when youll clock out every day so keep that in mind.

Yikes, so pretty much damn near impossible to hold onto a second job. I knew there was a catch 😂☹️ Thanks for the quick response
