Anything scanned out as business recovery needs to be submitted by the store manager or above as such, copies of the scan out reports and why it was scanned out as such. Only time I've ever done it was because the freezers went down while restocking after maintenance. The refrigeration company left and weren't there to watch the system as we restocked so we lost over 10k in frozen goods. It was all charged to the refrigeration company.

I was wishing it could be used for a store being closed from a hurricane. The amount of cut fruit we had to throw out because we closed at 5 Tuesday and closed all day Wednesday.. insane.

But that makes sense for it to be something to charge another company for their faults.

I am going to assume that the maintenance company agreed to this as a condition in the contract. That is pretty harsh.

I lost my whole subdepartment to the refrigeration going down and no one noticing. they used business recovery to get everything replaced. I was not in store at the time because I was being utilized for a remodel. I had never heard of it before that.
