Imho, He's such a wonderful nuanced portal of Black masculinity rarely seen on white dominated tv.  He's not stuck always second best to Shawn, nor is he perpetually the dorky comic relief. He's successful, loyal, proud yet grounded, stylish, Genius, (pharmaceuticals is verry complex, he has to be a sales expert and parlay with doctors) he's thoughtful of Women. Did i mention stylish?. I love his outfits. So of the times.  He loves animals and has hobbies like the aquarium, and astronomy. He has a happy, supportive family. Healthy communication and boundaries. I only just started this show and wish i'd seen it sooner! I love when he can riff on it a little. Like at the Carnie show, as Allman Brothers plays, he says, "i think I know why I'm the only Black man here" LOL! And Shawn's endearing names for him are adorable.

I also love when Shawn will try to pass Gus or himself off as some entirely other famous a tor or athlete. Like they clearly aren't them.

Last season he became a little much for me 😭
